Chapter 209: The Strongest Villain
A faint scowl flickered across Razeal’s face, but not from fear rather, from irritation.

Yeah, yeah… whatever, he muttered inside his head, brushing it off with a mental wave. That’s too far away to matter right now. Like someone telling me about a galaxy on the other side of creation too distant, too meaningless to dwell on. Why should I waste thought on something so far I can’t even see it?

Even so, a tiny ember of unease lingered beneath his dismissal.

He let it go and asked something else, something that had been clawing at the back of his thoughts since earlier.

So then how strong were those people I met in system space? The ones marked as SSS-ranked? You never specified clearly before. Which of them… was the Cosmic Lord?

This time, the system’s answer came crisp and immediate.

[You have met only one Cosmic Lord in system space, host. Zara the one known by the title “The Strongest Mother.”]

Razeal was surprised, and he straightened unconsciously. Only one?

[The others you encountered were powerful, but they had not reached that pinnacle. The one called “Genocide” titled the World-Killer was only at the Supreme level. The other, the old man who bore the title “Not a Swordsman,” stood at the Emperor level. Aside from Zara, every being you met in that place was at most Supreme.]

“…Only one…” Razeal muttered under his breath, genuinely stunned.

He had thought, assumed, perhaps even convinced himself, that he had been surrounded by monsters who all stood equal in terrifying might. To learn that only Zara reached that unimaginable peak that was… shocking.

And Zara… she was the strongest one? His mind reeled with the thought. To place her in the same rank as Riven himself an actual god, a Cosmic Lord.. it was something he had never once considered.

Surprising. Unbelievable, even.

He thought back to her, to her presence, her aura, her every movement. He remembered how naturally she had carried her strength, well she never really showed anything honestly.. but still

The realization sat heavy in him.

And she’s even stronger than that old man? He couldn’t help but compare. That old man had unleashed the Galactic Slash at full power, a strike so devastating that even recalling it sent a chill through his spine… Yet he had died from his own inability to control it.

Razeal understands the reason maybe, almost bitterly. So what’s the use of strength you can’t control? Power that kills its own wielder is nothing more than weakness pretending to be strength.

That thought, at least, settled him.

Still, a new question clawed at his mind.

System, Razeal asked suddenly, narrowing his eyes as the sea breeze brushed against his hair. Is Zara… the strongest villain in system space?

The answer came, and it was not what he expected.

[No, host.]

Razeal blinked. No?

[She is powerful, yes. But if we are speaking in terms of ranking within system space, she is… the 6,676,778th strongest among the SSS-ranked beings there.]

…Wooow, Razeal muttered aloud in his head before catching himself. His head tilted slightly, his eyes sharp with disbelief. That far down?

The number echoed in his head. Six million. Six million seven hundred seventy-eight thousand.

That wasn’t just a gap.. it was an ocean.

And if Zara was still that far below the peak… what did the actual strongest beings look like?

His heart thudded in his chest at the thought, not from fear, but from the raw impossibility of it.

“Ohh wait…” His voice was low, muttered more to himself. You mean there are that many Cosmic Lords in system space? Millions?

The system’s reply came like an unfeeling whisper.

[Yes. Remember, host.. system space draws from all of reality. Not just this universe, not just this timeline, but from every universe and every thread of existence. All realities. All timelines. Every being who has reached that height of existence. It is not strange that the numbers are vast. Reality is far vaster than you can imagine.]

For once, Razeal said nothing. He couldn’t. His mind was elsewhere, spinning, trying to process the scale of what he had just heard.

The creak of the ship’s wood, the crash of the waves, even the faint voices of the others on deck all of it faded from his awareness.

Millions of gods. Millions of Cosmic Lords. Zara only somewhere in the middle of them.

And him…?

He clenched his fists under the table, the shadows from his hands pooling faintly against the wood as if his own power had leaked in reaction.

So then… his thought sharpened, a blade cutting through the haze. What is the strongest in system space? What being stands at the very top of the SSS-ranked?

His eyes narrowed dangerously, the faint glimmer of hunger flickering in their black depths.

What does the true peak look like?

The system’s voice cut off abruptly.

[…]

A pause heavy enough to make even Razeal’s curiosity sharpen. His lips twitched, then slowly stretched into a smirk.

“Ohhh… now I’m interested,” he murmured, his voice low, carrying a dangerous amusement.

That smirk lingered on his face, sharp and unsettling, hinting at the storm of thoughts running beneath his calm exterior.

It wasn’t aimed at anyone in particular, but Maria, Levy, and Aurora couldn’t help but notice. His expression shifted too much, too quickly serious one moment, almost amused the next, then suddenly flat and cold. His eyes narrowed as though he was seeing something none of them could, his focus not on them or the ship but locked deep within himself.

The three exchanged glances, but no one spoke. Maria, for all her sharp tongue, simply pressed her lips together. Levy raised an eyebrow but dropped it just as fast he wasn’t about to provoke his boss. Aurora only turned her face slightly away, though her body betrayed her tension. It was strange watching him like this, silent but brimming with some unknown calculation.

Finally, after long minutes of silence, Razeal broke it. His tone was calm, flat, almost dismissive.

“I’m going to take a little nap. Only disturb me if something important happens.”

The three stared at him in speachlessness.

A nap? Again?

Didn’t he just wake up from an entire day of sleep? Now he wanted to sleep again? Maria raised her brows, Levy gaped quietly, and Aurora’s lips pressed into a thin line. But none of them said anything. They just let him be.

Razeal didn’t linger. He leaned back in his chair, his gaze drifting over them one last time, then turned inward.

Alright, system. Send me to the system space of the strongest SSS-ranked. Out of all of them. Infinite realities, all times, all worlds take me to the peak.

[Alright.]

The reply came instantly.

And then, without any warning, his consciousness was pulled away. His body, still seated in the chair, slumped slightly. His head tilted, his posture relaxed, and within seconds he looked exactly like a man who had simply fallen asleep.

Levy, sitting off to the side, blinked at him in disbelief. “Already asleep…? What the hell…” he muttered under his breath, staring at his boss with speechless annoyance.

Inside the System Space

[Welcome, Host, to the SSS-Rank Valley of Villey.]

[Villain Title: Lord of Hell.]

[Name of System Space: Hell.]

(Special: only a few system spaces are recognized enough to receive a name.)

Razeal’s eyes snapped open. Heat slammed into him immediately scorching, heavy winds that felt like burning whips slapping against his face and body. His eyes stung, his skin prickled, and his first instinct was to shield himself.

But then he realized it wasn’t just heat.

He was falling.

He sighed as he glanced down. Nothing but endless crimson sky beneath him, and below that, a land shrouded in haze and fire. He had been dropped into the middle of the air with no ground under his feet.

“System,” Razeal growled, his teeth gritted as he felt the pull of gravity drag him down faster and faster. “Can’t you have a little brain? At least land me somewhere decent? Why always throw me into this kind of shit?”

The system, as always, stayed silent.

“Tch.”

With a thought, shadow erupted from his back vast, towering wings that seemed to drink in the very light of this world. The moment they unfurled, the endless drop slowed. He flapped once, the sound cracking like thunder as his body stabilized midair. The searing winds bent and warped around the wings, and for the first time since arriving, he could breathe.

Hovering, he dragged his eyes back to the floating panels before him.

A system space with a name? That was new. He scanned the explanation quickly and pieced it together. So, only certain system spaces get named… means they’re unique, special somehow. This one’s Hell, huh?

The corner of his mouth twitched. Hell Lord… sounds interesting. Very interesting.

He swiped the prompt away with a flick of his hand and finally turned his gaze to his surroundings.

And what he saw made even him pause.

The sky stretched endlessly, painted in shades of deep red and scarlet, a suffocating dome without sun or moon. Yet somehow, everything was visible, bathed in a sickly crimson light that seemed to seep into his skin.

Far above, the heavens weren’t smooth. They were torn. Massive cracks ripped through the firmament, jagged like shattered glass across the sky. From each of those wounds, something poured out, cascading downward in endless fountains.

Razeal narrowed his eyes, his wings carrying him higher as he looked closer.

The first crack belched liquid the color of boiling blood, gushing endlessly like a waterfall turned upside down. It splattered as it fell, steaming in the air, staining the world beneath with its stench.

Another tore open and vomited fire not ordinary flame, but pure essence, a blazing scarlet inferno that roared like molten rivers in the sky. It was so bright it seared his vision, and yet it did not fade.

Farther off, a crack bled something stranger white streams that looked solid, tumbling downward like avalanches. Bones. Skulls. Countless pieces of human remains, polished to a sickly gleam, pouring endlessly like macabre snow.

And these weren’t the only ones. Thousands of these sky-fountains stretched across the horizon, each disgorging some nightmare substance, each feeding the land below with blood, fire, or bone. From where he floated, he could only glimpse a fraction, but the further his gaze traveled, the more he saw millions, maybe more, scattered across this endless crimson firmament.

The heat was unbearable. Every gust of wind carried not just warmth but weight, a pressure that settled deep into his chest and muscles. It was like the entire world was pressing down on him, smothering him, testing whether he was allowed to breathe here.

He exhaled slowly, his lips curling into the faintest smirk despite the suffocating air.

“Well,” he muttered to himself, “guess I really am in Hell.”
