Chapter 308: Chapter 304 – The Gate to the Gods’ Sky
The dining hall fell silent after their final exchange. Only the faint clink of cups being cleared away and the footsteps of demon attendants tidying the table remained. But the silence wasn’t tense; it was the quiet of a group that had just agreed on their next great step.

Sylvia stood first.

“Then… let’s go now.”

Sofia rose as well, brushing off her white-gold dress.

“Alright.”

Alicia jumped off her chair with bright energy, her translucent hair swaying.

“Finally! I was getting bored of sitting around.”

Stacia closed her small book and stored it into her dimensional space.

“We already have a destination. There’s no reason to delay.”

The tiny Treant leapt from Sylvia’s lap and spun in the air like an excited child.

“PLOP!! Plop plop PLOP!”

(Let’s go!! New adventure!! I’m ready!!)

Sofia smiled fondly at it.

“Always so full of energy…”

Alicia nudged Sofia’s shoulder with a teasing grin.

“Speaking of energy, you were the one who…”

“A-ALICIA!!”

Sofia instantly flushed red all the way to her ears, her wings twitching violently.

Sylvia quickly turned away and walked forward, pretending she didn’t hear a thing.

The Treant covered its face with its leaves, its plops sounding like suppressed gossip laughter.

Stacia sighed deeply.

“You all… please don’t start chaos so early in the day.”

“It’s already afternoon, Stacia,” Alicia said casually. “The First Floor doesn’t have a clock.”

….

The hallways they passed through were filled with sacred light blended with underworld architecture. Obsidian pillars carved with holy sigils. Black-violet carpets with luminous chain motifs. Soft incense that was faint yet calming.

Sofia had truly transformed the First Floor into a neutral realm not hell, not heaven, but a perfect midpoint.

When they passed rows of demon guards, all of them bowed deeply. Even the largest ones trembled slightly when Sylvia’s gaze brushed over them.

Not out of fear… but because of her aura.

Sylvia’s aura now was simply too vast, too refined, too sharp to be stared at directly. Behind them, Baal stood stiffly with a butler’s posture.

The same Baal who had become a “butler” yesterday now held his neck and murmured quietly:

“…Finally. The troublemakers are leaving…”

Alicia who had the sharpest hearing turned her eyes on him.

“What was that, Baal?”

Baal froze like a statue.

“N-Nothing! I was simply… wishing you good fortune! Yes! Safe travels!”

Alicia narrowed her eyes. “Hmm…”

The Treant glanced at Baal, lifted a branch, and shook its head with judgment.

Plop.

(Bad liar.)

Baal looked away and prayed he wouldn’t be assigned by Sofia again.

At the end of the First Floor’s main corridor stood a massive door 20 meters tall, wide as the gates of an ancient kingdom. Not just any door, but a Dimensional Access Gate, an old artifact whose origin even demons had forgotten.

The door was pure black with gold lines that glowed softly, each line pulsing in rhythm with the heartbeat of the one who approached.

Sofia walked ahead and placed her hand on the surface.

“Grant access. Floor 68.”

Golden light spread from her fingers, tracing across the door’s runes before….

KRRRRRRAAAA KKKUUUNNGG!

The door slowly split open, revealing a long white corridor floating inside a void of black nothingness.

Alicia whistled.

“This never stops being cool.”

Treant smacked the air with excitement.

Plop!!

(Let’s go! Let’s go!)

Sylvia stepped inside, and the corridor seemed to swallow them one by one.

Sofia walked close beside her. Nobody complained. At this point, everyone had simply accepted that the two couldn’t stay apart.

….

The dimensional corridor pulsed softly, like the breath of a sleeping giant.

The light on its walls dimmed slowly as their final step crossed the threshold.

Then with a gentle thud solid ground formed beneath their feet.

They had returned.

Floor 68.

A cold, familiar breeze greeted them. The air thick with underworld energy is heavy, yet strangely welcoming, as if recognizing them as part of its essence.

The moment the last trace of teleportation light faded from their skin…

“SYLVIAAAA!!”

A shriek exploded from the distance.

A second later, Seere burst into view as a grey-white blur, running as fast as underworld wind, her face beaming like a child who finally found her favorite toy.

The Treant on Stacia’s shoulder shrieked in panic:

“PLOP! PLOP! PLOP!”

(Incoming attack!!)

Sylvia barely managed to say “Seere ” before the girl was half a meter from her face, arms wide open, ready to hug and then her movement stopped abruptly.

A white-gold hand grabbed her collar from the side.

Sofia.

With a cold, calm, and very possessive expression.

Seere dangled mid-air like a kitten grabbed by the scruff.

“…What exactly are you doing?” Sofia asked, smiling sweetly but her eyes did not smile at all.

Seere glared back sharply.

“I’m going to hug Sylvia.”

“No need.”

Sofia tightened her grip.

“She doesn’t need hugs from others.”

Seere grabbed at Sofia’s hand.

“And if I want to? Who can stop me?”

Sofia smiled slightly.

“If you’re ready to die, go ahead.”

The atmosphere on Floor 68 instantly tightened.

Alicia’s jaw dropped. Stacia sighed in exhaustion.

The Treant watched with sparkly eyes, as if enjoying premium drama.

Sylvia pressed her fingers to her temples.

“…Both of you, stop.”

But Sylvia’s voice seemed completely ignored.

Both still locked eyes like two predators forced to share territory.

Seere smirked.

“I’m stronger now. I might actually beat you, little angel.”

Sofia narrowed her eyes.

“Try me.”

Their auras began to push at each other. Even that small clash made nearby pillars crack.

Alicia swooped between them.

“STOP!! Don’t create a new underworld crater! This floor already has PTSD from Sylvia’s evolution!!”

The Treant nodded frantically.

PLOP PLOP!

(If you two fight, Sylvia gets mad!)

Sylvia decided to take the practical route.

She placed her hand on Sofia’s shoulder.

Just that.

One touch.

Sofia’s aura immediately stopped. A flustered pink spread across her cheeks. Her wings flickered.

“…Sylvia,” she whispered.

Seere used the moment to land back on the ground, clearly annoyed.

“If only I could’ve hugged you first…”

Sylvia sighed softly.

“Seere… calm down. We just arrived.”

Sofia immediately hugged Sylvia’s arm tightly, without shame, wearing a very intentional smug expression aimed at Seere.

Her face clearly said:

“She’s mine.”

Seere almost ground her teeth.

Alicia patted Seere’s shoulder, chuckling.

“Welcome back to the team, Seere. Love drama explodes in the first minute!”

Stacia added,

“Please… don’t try killing each other’s partners. It’s troublesome.”

The Treant clung to Sylvia’s head.

“PLOP~”

(Protect me, too much jealousy here.)

Sylvia stroked the Treant but somehow, that only made both Sofia and Seere stare daggers at each other again.

Sofia tugged Sylvia’s arm and said in a sugary sweet but knife-like tone:

“Come on, darling. Seere’s father is waiting.”

Seere exploded,

“Don’t call her that in front of… !!”

Too late.

Sofia was already walking away with Sylvia, like a smug cat flaunting her prize.

Seere clenched her fists, trembling with frustration.

“I HATE that angel…”

Alicia smirked.

“No. You’re jealous.”

The Treant nodded dramatically.

PLOP!

Stacia patted Seere’s shoulder.

“You’ll get your turn later.”

Seere exhaled sharply and followed them with a sulking face.

They walked through the vast garden of Floor 68 now even more ruined than it looked from afar. Clearly, Belial hadn’t finished cleaning the aftermath of yesterday’s evolutions.

The ground was torn, trees broken, and pillars slanted like witnesses of a natural disaster.

But the atmosphere was warm.

Because everyone in the garden, demon guards, soldiers, even laborers immediately knelt as Sylvia passed.

Some trembled.

Whispers rose:

“That’s her… the new queen of the underworld…”

“The one who snapped Cimeies’ bones with a single chain…”

“The one who summoned thousands of undead with just a breath…”

Alicia giggled softly.

“Hehe~ you’re a living legend now.”

Sofia hugged Sylvia’s arm even tighter.

“Of course. She’s extraordinary.”

Seere shot Sofia a provoking glare.

“I’m the one who brought her down here first.”

Sofia countered,

“And I’m the one who awakened her power.”

Alicia: “Here we go again…”

Stacia: “Quiet.”

Treant:

PLOP!!!

(Two cats fighting again!!)

Sylvia exhaled.

“…Please focus.”

….

Soft purple light shimmered from its tall windows. Several high-class demons knelt at the main gate as the group passed through.

The moment they stepped into the castle’s grand hall, they were met by the scent of earth, the hum of ancient energy, and the warm pulse of magma running through the walls. and on the raised throne crafted from the bones of a giant.

Belial stood.

His eyes widened when he saw the group enter, especially Sylvia and Sofia walking side by side.

Belial straightened his posture.

“You’ve returned.”

Sofia smiled.

“We need the help of the goddesses.”

Lumielle appeared beside Belial like a gentle beam of light. Ithara materialized not far away, wearing her usual mischievous smile.

Lumielle greeted Sylvia with a soft nod.

“You are ready.”

Ithara looked over all of them with a curious, hungry gleam in her eyes.

“The realm of the gods will not be prepared for your arrival.”

Seere stepped forward to guide them.

“Father is waiting in the ritual chamber. We can begin whenever you’re ready.”

Belial nodded.

“If all of you are prepared, we will open the path to the domain of the gods.”

Alicia clenched her tiny fist.

“Great! Let’s go beat up those self-righteous gods!”

The tiny Treant raised its branch like a sword.

PLOP!!

(WAR!!)

Stacia gave a faint, serene smile.

“Well… it seems we’ve finally reached this point.”

Sofia turned to Sylvia, taking her hand gently.

“Together?”

Sylvia returned the grip softly.

“Together.”

And with two goddesses, a queen of death, an ascended angel, two sisters who had surpassed all limits, an overly excited Treant, and a demon guide…

their journey to the heavens of the gods was about to begin.
