Chapter 306: Chapter 302 – Rest of the Sovereigns and the Mystery of the New Butler
The long kiss slowly faded.

The air around them was still filled with drifting gold particles and soft black motes, the remnants of their clashing auras.

The cracked throne room felt quiet now, as if even the air itself held its breath at the intimate moment it had just witnessed.

Sylvia opened her eyes first.

Sofia was still gazing at her from up close, her breath warm, her cheeks faintly pink something rarely seen on a powerful angel of her caliber.

They were still holding each other.

Alicia was massaging her forehead from afar.

Stacia shook her head and rolled her eyes.

The tiny Treant was making rapid, angry “plop plop plop…” sounds like a child watching their parents engage in PDA without considering their “kid.”

Sofia finally pulled back slightly, her eyes soft.

“…I really missed you.”

Sylvia lifted a hand and brushed Sofia’s cheek lightly.

“I missed you too.”

The smiles they exchanged were those of two people who had held back their feelings for far too long, warm, relieved, and just a little mischievous.

Then Sofia touched Sylvia’s shoulder with her fingertips.

“Come.”

Sylvia nodded.

And in the next second…

DUAAAP!!

The two vanished from sight like mist carried away by wind.

Alicia, Stacia, and the Treant saw only the fading swirl of gold dust and dark essence left behind.

Alicia put her hands on her hips.

“OH. They’re gone. Just like that.”

Stacia covered her face.

“Goddess… this is exactly something they would do…”

The tiny Treant shook in frustration mid-air.

“PLOP!! Plop plop plop!”

(So rude!! I want to protest!!)

Alicia patted the Treant’s little branches.

“Oh come on… they need time alone.”

The Treant sulked, hugging its leaves like a blanket.

Plop…

(Fine, but still…!)

Stacia let out a long sigh, resignation all over her expression.

“More accurately… ‘whatever happens next is a secret of nature.'”

Alicia raised an eyebrow.

“Oh? You say that with such a calm face. You suspected this, didn’t you?”

Stacia rolled her eyes.

“I have eyes. They’ve been staring at each other like that since the start.”

“So… we’re abandoned here while they… do things?” Alicia asked.

Stacia folded her arms.

“Not just ‘things.’ Something…”

Alicia covered her ears.

“Nope, nope, don’t describe it!”

The Treant covered its little face with two tiny branches.

Plop…

In the end, the three of them simply stood in the massive throne room quiet and dim now, as if the overwhelming energy earlier had vanished together with Sylvia and Sofia.

Alicia exhaled and turned to the demon soldiers lined up tensely.

“Hey, you guys!”

All the soldiers straightened instinctively.

Alicia continued,

“Is there a resting place? We’ve technically been kicked out.”

Stacia elbowed her.

“Alicia…”

“What? They DID leave us,” Alicia said.

Stacia sighed, then addressed a white-horned demon officer who seemed in charge.

“Is there a resting chamber on this floor?”

The officer bowed deeply.

“Of course, Princess. In fact… your rooms have already been prepared by Lady Sofia.”

Alicia and Stacia exchanged glances.

The Treant let out a tiny “Plop?”

(Prepared?)

The officer straightened, still respectful and a little terrified.

“And Lady Sofia has assigned her personal servant to escort you.”

“A servant?” Stacia asked.

Alicia blinked.

“Hold on, Sofia has a personal servant?”

The officer didn’t answer.

He tapped the ground twice with his spear.

“Please, come in.”

From behind the shadows of a massive pillar…

A tall, imposing demon walked out. Dressed in immaculate black formal attire, complete with vest, tie, white gloves, and an absolutely expressionless face.

Alicia gasped.

Stacia froze.

The Treant fell off Alicia’s head entirely, staring in shock.

The demon bowed deeply, like a noble family’s butler.

“Good evening, Lady Alicia, Lady Stacia… and His Excellency Treant.”

Alicia pointed dramatically.

“THAT’S BAAL!”

Baal, former ruler of Floor 1, a giant demon who once roared and swung his spears like a savage monster was now standing straight-backed, professional-faced, and suppressing his aura to its lowest possible level.

Stacia covered her mouth to contain her laughter.

“Sofia… trained you?”

Baal bowed again.

“Quite rigorously, Lady Stacia.”

Alicia grabbed her head.

“What did she DO to you…?”

Baal’s face twitched.

“She said… ‘If you want to remain on this floor, you must learn manners.’ And after five days… I surrendered.”

The Treant burst into gleeful plops.

“PLOP PLOP PLOP!!”

(Evil little laughter)

Alicia’s eyes widened.

“Five days? Then Sofia…”

“Correct, Lady Alicia,” Baal said stiffly.

“Lady Sofia personally trained me as the butler of the First Floor.”

Alicia grinned widely.

“That’s AMAZING! Sofia is a real Queen Boss.”

Stacia nodded proudly.

“I’m genuinely impressed.”

The Treant lifted its branch like a victory flag.

“PLOP!” (Sofia victory!)

Baal then motioned with a hand, urging them to follow.

“Please. I shall guide you to your resting chambers.”

Alicia nodded.

“Alright, Butler Baal!”

Baal’s face twitched violently.

“…Please do not call me that.”

“Why not?” Stacia asked innocently.

“Because… it’s embarrassing…”

The Treant patted Baal’s shoulder.

PLOP.

(Accept your fate.)

Baal sighed in defeat and walked a bit faster to hide his feelings.

Alicia and Stacia trailed behind, trying not to laugh. The Treant perched on Stacia’s head this time, surveying the hallway like a tiny royal inspector.

As they moved down the obsidian corridors lit by soft holy magic, Alicia whispered,

“What do you think Sylvia and Sofia are doing right now?”

Stacia responded without hesitation.

“No need to guess.”

Treant nodded rapidly in agreement,

Plop plop.

Alicia blushed.

“Oh gods… they’re absolutely doing that…”

Stacia smiled warmly.

“They’ve been apart for a long time. They need time to argue, share stories, or… other things.”

“Don’t make me imagine it!” Alicia groaned.

Treant raised its tiny branch.

PLOP! (Agreed!)

At last, Baal stopped before a huge door made of black stone decorated with golden and violet patterns, the signature elements of Sofia and Sylvia.

“These are your rooms.”

Alicia blinked.

“This… is too luxurious.”

Stacia traced the carvings.

“Sofia must’ve arranged everything personally…”

Baal bowed.

“If you need anything, ring the bell. I will come immediately.”

Alicia smirked.

“What if I ring it 20 times?”

Baal paled.

“P-please don’t do that…”

The Treant cackled loudly.

PLOP! PLOP!

The hall echoed with Alicia’s laughter, Stacia’s sighs, and the Treant’s mischievous plops, leaving several demon guards wondering what had become of their former terrifying ruler.

….

Meanwhile, far away…

In the master chamber known only to Sofia and Sylvia. The two women lay on a vast bed, hands entwined, hair intertwined, cheeks warm. What happened in that room?

As Stacia said….

a secret of nature

…..

The chamber door closed softly behind Baal, leaving Alicia, Stacia, and the little Treant alone in the long hallway illuminated by white-gold crystals.

Alicia placed her hands on her hips.

“Hmmm… so we’ve been abandoned. Again.”

The Treant atop Stacia’s head raised its branch dramatically.

“PLOP…”

(Formal complaint.)

Stacia sighed, scooping the little Treant into her arms like a living doll.

“Let them be. You know how they are.”

She stroked the Treant’s wooden body.

It puffed its leaves indignantly.

Plop.

(Still annoyed.)

Alicia glanced around.

The hallway was absurdly lavish even for the underworld.

Obsidian floors polished like glass.

Walls carved with sacred motifs mixed with pure death magic the unmistakable signature of Sofia and Sylvia.

Soft golden light emanated from lamps shaped half like angel feathers and half like petals of the death flower.

An impossible combination.

And yet… beautiful.

Alicia whistled.

“Wow… this is seriously ‘honeymoon energy’…”

The Treant shrieked.

“PLOP!!”

(Not our business!!)

Stacia gave Alicia a flat stare.

“You didn’t need to say it out loud.”

Alicia spun in place.

“But it’s true, right? Their room is probably…”

Stacia clamped Alicia’s mouth shut.

“Stop.”

Alicia struggled.

“Hey! I’m just analyzing the mood!”

Treant watched them with round red eyes.

Plop plop. (You’re both noisy.)

Eventually Alicia gave up and sighed.

“Alright. Let’s rest. This whole First Floor feels too holy now. Like a divine cathedral, not the underworld.”

Stacia nodded.

“Sofia truly changed this place.”

Treant shoved its branch into its mouth as if saying “Sofia OP.”

Alicia tapped its head.

“You’re not wrong.”

They stepped into the room.

Warm air greeted them.

The chamber was enormous, rivaling Sylvia’s throne hall in Nocture. Three beds, spaced apart for privacy. Golden-black curtains, a long table with drinks, a small private hot spring, a massive dark-violet carpet woven with chain motifs and angel feathers.

Alicia touched the carpet.

“This is totally Sofia’s handiwork. Look at these feather patterns… she must’ve stitched them with holy magic.”

Stacia nodded.

“And the chains… that’s Sylvia’s work.”

The Treant marched onto the carpet, lifting its branch triumphantly.

Plop!

(This is my new home!)

Alicia laughed.

“No, this is a guest room.”

Treant flailed.

PLOP!

Stacia lay back on the far bed, stretching.

“I… really want to sleep.”

Alicia smirked.

“You’re tired? Meanwhile Sylvia and Sofia still have enough energy to ”

A pillow flew with the speed of a falling angel…

PLOOMPH!!

Alicia collapsed onto the carpet laughing.

“OKAY–OKAY! Sorry!!”

The Treant climbed the fallen pillow and pointed accusingly at Alicia.

“PLOP!”

(Don’t bother them!)

Alicia picked the Treant up.

“You’re more protective than Stacia.”

Stacia hugged her pillow, cheeks lightly pink.

“…I’m not protective. I’m just… respecting their privacy.”

Alicia stared blankly.

“Sure you are, Miss Fallen Seraph with manners.”

Treant hugged Alicia’s head.

Plop…

(You’re all weird.)

Alicia placed the Treant on its own tiny pillow.

It curled up happily.

Plop~

(Finally, my bed.)

Alicia sat and looked up at the softly glowing ceiling.

“…You know what?”

Stacia turned to her.

“What?”

Alicia smiled gently.

“We’re witnessing the most important moment in their lives.”

The Treant paused mid-bite on its pillow.

Stacia lowered her gaze.

“…Yes. After everything… they deserve it.”

Alicia exhaled softly.

“We just need to wait for them. They’ll come out later… wearing that stupid-in-love expression.”

Stacia closed her eyes, leaning back.

“And we’ll be here. Like always.”

Treant rolled into a cozy ball.

Plop… plop…

(In Treant language: “The family will be complete soon.”)

Alicia finally lay down and closed her eyes.

“Alright… let’s rest. Tomorrow we might descend further.

Or maybe… Sofia won’t let Sylvia leave yet.”

Stacia smiled softly.

“If that happens… we’ll just wait.”
