Chapter 305: Chapter 301 – Reunion on the First Floor and the Clash of Two Lights
The descent of the three primordial beings Sylvia, Alicia, and Stacia through the floors of the underworld was no longer a journey.

It was like a storm of wind passing through a forest.

Unhindered.

Untouched.

Unchallenged.

Yet every step they took sent subtle ripples through the entire underground realm, as if every floor instinctively knew that something that should not exist was moving through it.

Ever since Floor 50, which had been reduced to soul ash, they moved swiftly.

49, 48, 47… mostly silent.

Only empty halls, vast chambers with towering black ceilings, red caverns filled with hissing steam, and corridors that should’ve been overflowing with monsters.

But instead…

Nothing.

Alicia twirled lazily in the air, her blue light reflecting off the ceilings.

“Is all this because of what happened above?”

Stacia shook her head gently.

“No. This isn’t caused by our aura. This is… the trace of another power.”

“Sofia’s trace,” Sylvia said softly.

Ever since seeing the soul ash on Floor 50, Sylvia had already guessed.

The destruction was too clean.

The erasure is too complete.

The lingering energy is holy, but not pure; holy mixed with fury and determination.

That was Sofia. And that was why Sylvia wanted even more to see her.

The little Treant atop Sylvia’s head fidgeted anxiously, shaking its branches like sensitive antennae reacting to foreign power.

“Plop…”

“Yes. I know,” Sylvia said, patting it.

“She’s below.”

….

Floor 20

This was the first floor that still had a city.

A city of stone and lava demon markets, towering red pillars like giant torches, and black bridges linking buildings carved into the cliffs.

The moment the three appeared.

The marketplace fell silent.

Demon merchants froze mid-transaction. Hooded monsters fled into the shadows. Some winged demons even dropped to their knees on instinct alone.

Just aura.

Just their presence.

That alone turned Floor 20 into a stone statue.

Sylvia walked calmly. The little Treant raised its branches proudly, making several demons tremble.

Alicia waved cheerfully at the terrified demons.

“Don’t worry~ we’re just passing through!”

No one replied.

They only bowed deeper and the three continued walking.

…..

Floor 10 – The Great City

This floor was larger, more organized, a grand city with a central fortress, a crowded plaza, and hundreds of guards who usually guarded the gates with strict formation.

But when Sylvia stepped out from the teleportation gate every soldier immediately prostrated. Not because they recognized her. But because of the new orders circulating from Floor One down through the entire underworld:

“If you see a white angel with eight golden wings, honor her.”

“If you see a black-haired woman with a death aura do not touch her.”

“If both appear together bow.”

Alicia whispered into Sylvia’s ear,

“Looks like Sofia built up your reputation first~”

Sylvia reddened slightly.

The Treant proudly raised its little branches, as if saying:

“Yes, our Queen is amazing.”

…..

Descending to Floor Two

This floor was hotter.

Lava flowed violently on both sides.

Huge monsters slept inside cracks in the stone.

But the moment the trio passed The monsters jolted, then instantly pretended to be dead.

Alicia nearly burst out laughing.

“This isn’t a dungeon anymore. It’s a theme park.”

The Treant stared flatly at a giant creature pretending to be a rock.

“Plop.”

(Just surrender.)

Stacia quickened her pace.

“At this rate… Sofia is probably already waiting.”

Sylvia looked downward Toward the First Floor. Her heart beat faster.

……

Floor 1

The moment Sylvia stepped onto Floor One

She knew.

The energy, atmosphere, layout and aura.

Its walls washed in gentle holy light. Its black ground is smooth and polished like obsidian jade. The chaotic demon troops now stood neatly in disciplined rows.

All of them…

Waiting.

For her.

The demon soldiers did not fight.

They did not prepare for the attack.

They did not even look suspicious.

They bowed.

One warrior with blue horns and sturdy armor stepped out.

“Welcome to the First Floor, Death Queen. We were ordered to escort you.”

Sylvia was stunned.

Alicia stifled a laugh.

“Wow… Sofia really made you a VIP.”

Stacia eyed Sylvia.

“Impressive.”

The Treant puffed out its branched chest, looking around proudly:

“Plop!”

(Tell them I’m famous too.)

The demon soldier led them through a grand hallway toward the throne chamber. And with each step the holy aura grew stronger.

Warm.

Powerful.

Majestic.

Alicia swallowed.

“This is Sofia’s aura? Seriously? This is insane…”

Stacia nodded.

“She’s… far stronger than before.”

Sylvia gripped the chain wrapped around her arm.

Just… waiting.

Waiting for that moment. The giant doors opened.

The throne room had massive obsidian walls, golden crystal lamps, enormous pillars reflecting holy radiance And at the center, seated upon a black-and-white sacred stone throne…

Sofia.

Her golden hair now flowed to her lower back. Not five but eight golden-white angel wings spread gloriously behind her. Her gaze was sharp, commanding yet those same eyes widened the moment they saw Sylvia enter.

Time stopped.

For a split second, Sylvia thought they would run toward each other and embrace like two souls finally reunited.

But before she even had time to lift her hand…

SOFIA ATTACKED.

With a speed that shook the First Floor, Sofia drew her holy spear and shot forward.

Sylvia raised her hand instinctively, black chains erupting from her body like cosmic serpents.

CLAAANG!!

Holy spear and death chains clashed in the center of the hall.

The shockwave shattered the entire throne platform.

Alicia shrieked and darted backward. Stacia grabbed her and pulled her behind a pillar.

“Find cover!!”

The Treant dug its branches into Sylvia’s hair so it wouldn’t get thrown off.

Sofia narrowed her glowing golden eyes.

“At last… you’re here.”

Sylvia smiled softly.

“Yes. And you were… impatient, I see.”

They moved at the same time.

Sofia swung her holy spear. Sylvia danced with her chains.

BLAAAM!!

KRAAAK!!

CLING!!

ZRRRRT!!

Impact after impact shook the entire first floor.

Walls cracked, Air warped Distant demons dropped flat on the ground, afraid the shock alone might kill them.

But beneath the destruction there was something else.

A soft laugh from Sofia.

A faint smile on Sylvia’s lips.

Alicia covered her ears.

“This… is kind of romantic? But also like… the end of the world?!”

Stacia sighed while dragging Alicia further behind cover.

“This is just how they say ‘I missed you.’ By trying to kill each other.”

The fight intensified.

Sofia soared upward, attacking from above, her eight wings scattering holy light. Sylvia followed, her chains swirling like hungry cosmic serpents.

BOOMMM!!!

Holy spear and death chains collided, creating a black-and-white shockwave that sliced the air And in the middle of the chaos Both women smiled. Because this was their greeting.

Their way of saying:

“I missed you.”

With a spear and chain. With power enough to shatter the floors of the underworld.

…..

Sofia’s holy spear melted the air around it, scattering golden embers with every swing. Sylvia’s chains moved with wild elegance, singing like ancient metal awakened from millennia of slumber.

Their duel wasn’t just fast. Wasn’t just powerful.

It was beautiful even as it tore the throne room apart.

“HAAH!”

Sofia crashed down from above, her wings blooming in a storm of light.

Sylvia parried with one hand, her chains curling like blooming flowers of death.

CLAAAAANG!!

The shockwave obliterated five pillars, making Alicia scream from behind a barrier.

“I TOLD YOU! THEY’RE REALLY TRYING TO KILL THE ROOM!!”

Stacia raised a tiny time-shield to protect them.

“Not just the room… if they continue like this, Floor One might collapse to Floor Two!”

The little Treant dangled helplessly from Sylvia’s hair, ranting frantically:

“PLOP!!”

(LET ME DOWN!!)

But Sylvia didn’t hear.

Neither did Sofia.

They saw nothing but each other.

…..

Sofia pierced through Sylvia’s chains literally tearing space in her path. Her holy spear shot forward, distorting the air with speed. Sylvia frowned, twisting her body and pulling a massive chain from the ground.

“Too slow,” Sofia whispered.

Her spear pierced Sylvia’s chain, detonating a blast of golden light.

Sylvia stepped back slightly.

“You’re stronger now,” she said quietly.

Sofia smiled softly.

“Of course. You disappeared for six months. I wanted to catch up.”

Sylvia didn’t deny it. Her chest simply felt warm.

The longing she tried to suppress spilled up.

…..

Four chains burst from Sylvia’s back, lunging at Sofia from every angle like fierce black serpents.

Sofia spun her spear, wings flaring.

“NOT THAT EASY!”

Golden light exploded from her body, forming a sacred ring that pushed Sylvia’s chains back. But Sylvia was already behind her.

“Sofia.”

Sofia’s golden eyes widened.

Too late.

KRAK!!

Sylvia’s chain trapped Sofia’s spear mid-air like a steel clamp.

Sofia stared, stunned.

“Your strength… is completely different now.”

Sylvia stepped forward, death aura flowing softly.

“I wanted to catch up to you too. That’s why I woke up stronger.”

Sofia froze.

And for a brief moment the battle stopped. Only their breaths could be heard.

Alicia and Stacia didn’t dare breathe.

The Treant glared at both of them with a “why-don’t-you-just-hug-already” face.

…..

Sofia twisted her spear free, forcing the chain to burst apart.

“I’m not done.”

Sylvia smiled.

“Neither am I.”

And they clashed again.

BOOOOOM!!

The floor cracked like shattered glass. The wind roared. Light and shadow spiraled into a beautiful storm.

Sofia attacked from below… Sylvia dodged upward.

Sylvia struck from the side… Sofia blocked with her wings.

Sofia thrust her spear …. Sylvia deflected with a chain bar.

Sylvia pushed…. Sofia spun and countered.

Light, shadow, force, breath…. everything intertwined.

A demon soldier whispered in terror:

“I-Is this… a duel or the end of the world…?”

But for the two women at the center of the storm…

This was not war.

This was reunion.

This was how they touched each other.

How they confirmed the other was alive.

…..

Sofia leapt high, thrusting her spear downward from the air.

Sylvia threw a chain upward but not to attack.

To pull herself upward.

In a blur of motion, Sylvia appeared right in front of Sofia and grabbed her arm.

Sofia gasped.

“S-Syl…”

But Sylvia didn’t give her time. She pulled Sofia toward herself and hugged her tightly. Their bodies collided, sending out a burst of golden and black light like scattering petals.

Sofia froze.

Alicia squealed behind her hands.

“AAAHH!! FINALLY!!”

Stacia sighed.

“So she needed to destroy half the floor first…”

The Treant let out a satisfied plop.

“Plop.”

(Finally.)

In Sylvia’s arms, Sofia slowly lowered her spear.

“…I missed you,” she whispered, her voice cracking slightly.

Sylvia tightened her embrace, resting her forehead against Sofia’s shoulder.

“I missed you too.”

Sofia lifted her head, her gaze trembling as if she wanted to cry but refused to show weakness.

“You… took so long…”

“You were no different,” Sylvia murmured.

And before either could say another word Sofia cupped Sylvia’s cheeks.

Sylvia didn’t resist.

They looked into each other’s eyes, breath mingling in the space between their lips.

“Sylvia…”

“Sofia…”

And finally… They kissed.

In a soft explosion of golden and black light, the two strongest beings of the underworld held each other….

Two souls who had finally found each other again.
