Chapter 298: Chapter 294 – The Silent Summit of the Death Queen
One week. Seven full days of blood, poison, explosions, and endless piles of infernal flesh.

Now, in the middle of a valley that had become a black crater the size of a city, Sylvia sat atop a mountain of monster corpses hardened like stone. Her black dress was torn in several places, but the fabric slowly moved like a living creature threads stitching themselves back together, flowing and closing every rip with an organic motion that tickled her skin.

“…finally, it stops.”

Sylvia leaned back slightly.

The small Treant, once again in its tiny doll-sized form, lay limp on her head. Its two tiny branches drooped to the sides like a baby’s exhausted arms.

“You’re tired, huh?” Sylvia patted it gently.

The little Treant didn’t respond. It only let out a faint *plop*, like a miniature tree too tired to breathe.

The Hellhounds that had accompanied her for an entire week had already been returned to the undead storage system all severely exhausted. Even for undead, Sylvia’s combat tempo was utterly insane.

Sylvia opened the floating status window.

…

[STATUS – SYLVIA HORTENSIA] (AFTER 1 WEEK)

AGI: 2,410,000

LUK: 7,200,000

…

Sylvia blinked a few times.

“…insane.”

She almost laughed.

Level 199. Just one more until the next evolution.

Her stats? They had skyrocketed double, even triple in some areas.

Her Death Aura now surged like a storm, though she kept it suppressed so it wouldn’t destroy the entire area.

“That’s why… they stopped coming, huh.”

Indeed. It had been two hours since any monster dared to approach.

Even the underworld had given up.

Sylvia tapped her fingers against her thigh, her mind slowly clearing after a week of nonstop brutal combat.

“…Sofia.”

That name made the hellish haze feel a little paler.

She stared into the distance.

During this week, she had occasionally felt a gentle tremor brushing her Death Aura from far away. Not a threat. Not harsh. Warm like a hand touching her cheek.

“If it wasn’t an illusion… then she’s on a lower floor.”

Sylvia looked down toward the long ravine to her right the natural passage to floor 67 and beyond.

The tiny Treant on her head suddenly made a small *plop*, as if agreeing.

Sylvia smiled softly.

“Do you want to see her too?”

The little Treant raised one tiny branch, almost like lifting its hand.

Sylvia stood from the mountain of corpses, dusted off her now perfect dress, and drew her black chains once sending them back into the void.

“Let’s go back up.”

She placed her hand on her chains, touching the now-silent underworld air.

The tiny Treant on her head made a weak:

*plop…*

I’m almost happy.

“It’s been a week… Alicia and Stacia should be done with their training now.”

She sighed gently.

“…I miss my sisters.”

As she stood, a shadow shifted in front of her. Seere stood near the rocky ravine, hellwind blowing through his long white hair. A soft yet mysterious smile curved on his lips.

“You finally finished?” he asked.

Sylvia nodded, patting her dress now fully restored.

“Done. And… I want to go home for a bit. I miss them.”

Seere’s smile widened slightly.

“Of course. Take my hand.”

Sylvia held Seere’s hand and the underworld collapsed beneath them like being pulled into a vortex.

In a blink…

The scorching heat vanished. The smell of blood and sulfur disappeared. Replaced by gentle wind, the scent of red flowers, and the sound of a fountain

They arrived in Belial’s castle garden, a seemingly heavenly place filled with exotic flowers and enchanting illusions.

There, beneath a black gazebo glowing with soft light…

Alicia and Stacia were enjoying tea. Both looked relaxed, long hair swaying in the breeze. The tea table was filled with small pastries.

Alicia looked up first.

“Oh? Little sister!” she called with a bright smile.

Stacia set down her cup, her eyes widening.

“Arere… Sylvia? You’re back!”

Sylvia almost smiled widely, but…

TWO FIGURES WALKED FORWARD.

Belial and Lumielle, the Goddess of Light.

Belial stared at Sylvia with a puffed chest of pride. His black eyes glowed like embers. Lumielle gave a small nod with an unreadable expression.

“Sylvia Hortensia,” Belial called.

“I just sat down,” Sylvia muttered.

Belial ignored her. He lifted his hand and tore open space like ripping paper.

From the rift, he pulled out a massive creature, something between a dragon and a demon dragged out like a ragdoll.

It thrashed, hissed, and beat its stone wings.

“This is a gift,” Belial said casually. “Kill it.”

Sylvia blinked.

“…why?”

“Just do it,” Belial cut her off.

Alicia and Stacia had already stood, their expressions foreboding. Sylvia inhaled slowly.

“All right.”

She stepped forward, extending her hand.

“Venom Reaper Claw.”

Her claw pierced the creature’s chest like sinking into butter.

The beast howled then crumbled into black dust that dispersed into the air. And at that moment…

DING!

The system chimed.

[LEVEL UP!]

199 → 200

Sylvia froze.

…Wait.

I kept it a secret that I needed a monster to level up. How did they know…

Belial grinned.

“I took a guess. Looks like I was right.”

Sylvia almost threw a chair at the old demon’s face.

But before she could speak…

DING! DING!! DING!!

Another system appeared much larger, heavier, deeper.

[EVOLUTION WILL BEGIN IN 10 SECONDS]

[PREPARE YOUR BODY]

Sylvia went stiff.

“…WHAT?! NOW?!”

Alicia dropped her cup.

Stacia stepped back.

“S-Sylvia! If you evolve !”

“We’ll also !”

Belial stepped back with a delighted smile, like watching a show. Lumielle even closed her eyes, sighing as if expecting this.

Extreme pressure erupted crushing the garden air.

1 second.

Sylvia felt every fiber of her body pulse violently.

2 seconds.

Alicia collapsed to her knees, biting her lip as black-blue light burst across her skin.

3 seconds.

Stacia clutched her chest, Nether Flame leaking from her body.

4 seconds.

Sylvia’s chains shuddered, rising on their own.

5 seconds.

The ground shook. The fountain cracked. The garden throbbed like it would collapse.

“No… not here…” Sylvia tried to suppress the aura exploding from within.

“Why here?!”

6 seconds.

Alicia cried out softly as blue-black light erupted from her back.

7 seconds.

Stacia jolted as if struck by lightning, their auras resonating.

Three parts of one soul, one body, one origin.

8 seconds.

The tiny Treant fell from Sylvia’s head and retreated into the system shadows.

9 seconds.

Belial and Lumielle prepared giant barriers, their bodies glowing.

10 seconds.

The pressure peaked.

And the world… stopped.

BUUUUUUUUUUUM!!!

Sylvia’s aura exploded through the garden like a black supernova, and Alicia’s and Stacia’s auras were dragged toward her forming a tri-colored ring: black, pale blue, and soft purple.

The energies spun, compressed, then…

BOOM!

Their bodies were pulled together, sucked into the gravitational core of evolution. Their forms began to change. Bones lengthened. Auras rampaged. Chains unraveled into black particles. Holy light and death energy clashed yet merged. Their hair grew rapidly, glowing from within. Slowly like black silk weaving itself three cocoons formed.

One large cocoon for Sylvia.

Two smaller ones for Alicia and Stacia. Floating in the air, surrounded by swirling stormlight.

Belial watched, eyes gleaming with rare fascination. Lumielle covered her mouth, astonished and worried.

“Triple evolution…” Lumielle whispered.

“This is not a normal evolution. They’re heading toward something even gods don’t dare predict.”

Belial chuckled.

“I know. That’s what makes it exciting.”

In the ruined garden, the three black cocoons pulsed, changing the three girls into something more. Something far beyond Rank 5. And the evolution had only just begun.

The once-peaceful castle garden had transformed into the center of a狂 storm of energy, swirling like a vortex tearing the world apart. Black, white, and purple lights clashed violently, scraping the air, making the very fabric of space crack like fractured glass.

Sylvia’s cocoon, the largest, released a dense black aura that devoured every surrounding light.

Alicia’s cocoon radiated a pale blue glow that pulsed in steady rhythms.

Stacia’s cocoon emitted a soft lavender aura, swirling gently like a breeze brushing the skin.

Belial folded his arms, his eyes gleaming with a rare spark of interest.

“Fascinating… three simultaneous evolutions connected to one another. Even high-ranking demons have no record of such a phenomenon.”

Lumielle stood farther back, shaping a domain of light to keep the garden from being obliterated. Her eyes were sharp, but also… worried.

“Belial,” she said quietly, “if this evolution destabilizes, your entire castle wing will be erased.”

Belial chuckled lightly.

“Then I’ll just move the castle. It’s fine.”

Lumielle rolled her eyes. “Only you can stay that relaxed.”

BRUUM!

Suddenly Sylvia’s aura surged upward sharply, like a spear of energy piercing the sky.

At the same moment, Alicia’s and Stacia’s cocoons trembled violently as if their bodies were being pulled toward Sylvia, yet still bound together.

Lumielle frowned deeply.

“This isn’t just individual evolution… This is some form of soul synchronization. They’re evolving as a single entity with three cores…”

Belial nodded with satisfaction.

“They originally came from one being. It’s natural they surpass limits in unconventional ways.”

Energy fissures spread across the ground. Trees in the garden toppled. The fountain exploded into a mist of scattered droplets. Buildings far behind them groaned under the pressure.

Yet the three cocoons hovered steadily in the center of the storm.

Then…

TWO POWERFUL THUMPS.

First from Sylvia’s cocoon. The second followed from Alicia and Stacia’s cocoons in perfect harmony.

Lumielle swallowed hard.

“…The heartbeat of the world.”

Belial laughed.

“Ah, yes. It’s been a long time since I’ve heard that.”

Sylvia’s black light expanded, forming a massive ring nearly covering the entire garden. Lumielle reinforced her barrier. Belial remained relaxed, watching without blinking.
