Chapter 405: Arrival at the Solaris Base
Following dozens of teams led by the Aqua Team, they began to move with ease, clearing all the dark beasts effortlessly.
Soon, in a rush, they traveled millions of kilometers in just a few hours and reached their destination.
Arriving at the gathering place of the Solaris Alliance, everyone couldn’t help but sigh in relief.
“Finally, we arrived.”
They had been traveling and fighting nonstop for over a week.
Although their bodies could still take it, their spirits could no longer endure.
Especially the Void Marshals, it seemed that the fighting they did this past week was more intense than what they had done in the two years they had been in the competition.
Usually, it was their subordinates who did all the fighting.
Now that it was their turn, they finally remembered the hardships they had to pass through when they were still weak.
Thinking of this, they were more determined to do everything in this coming raid.
Either to upgrade their shelter to the next level and have their own autonomy, or impress Nash to secure a good position.
They didn’t want to experience such a tireless battle again.
They would rather fight a few lord-level dark beasts than go through an endless horde.
Meanwhile, unaware of their thoughts, Nash began to scan all the teams and alliances in the gathering.
Just with a sweep of his eyes, Nash saw over a hundred tier 5 shelters and thousands of other teams.
“This place should contain all the forces of this uncharted zone.”
Looking at the wall of war weapons blocking the endless streams of dark beasts, Nash could only be amazed at the scale of the force.
Although the number of teams seemed small, most had a Tier 4 shelter.
Furthermore, just as he did, they borrowed other teams’ war weapons to augment their own forces.
Feeling the oppressive aura, dotted by war weapons and giant shelters, Nash began to look forward to the coming raid.
He wondered how much power such a force could produce.
Suddenly, as they were about to settle down, a familiar person beside Elizabeth earlier, approached
“Are you Excellency Nash, the leader of the Star Alliance?”
“I am. What is it?” Nash asked, not seeing Elizabeth.
“As ordered by the Solaris Alliance, everyone is required to help in defense while we plan for the raid.”
“Is there any requirement?”
“Yes. Based on the size of the team, there is a number of war weapons, Void Marshals, and Void Venerates required.”
“I see. Do we have to go now?”
“Yes, as soon as possible.”
There were still quite a few alliances and teams that hadn’t reached the destination.
Like the Star Alliance, as they were among the last few to travel to the gathering place, the number of dark beasts they would face was massive.
To reinforce, defend, and prepare, all the teams were required to put in a great deal of effort.
“Then I’ll have them mobilized immediately,” Nash nodded in understanding.
“Is there something else?” Nash asked, seeing the messenger hadn’t left.
“Yes. Each alliance leader is to gather at the Solaris Convention Hall.”
“I got it. Do you know where it is?”
He remembered that the Solaris Convention Hall seemed to be housed in a special mysterious beast.
Thinking of its size, Nash would have a hard time finding it if he didn’t know the specific coordinates.
“Yes, it’s in the middle of this gathering, more specifically at point 52.375.38…”
“Good. I’ll head there after talking to my teammates.”
With that, the messenger left, heading to his other work.
“Oh, I forgot to ask where Elizabeth had been,” Nash suddenly thought.
After leading them to the gathering place, he thought he would meet her again.
It seemed Elizabeth had an urgent matter to attend to.
Shaking his head, Nash headed back to his teammates and began instructing them to help in defense.
“Don’t worry, leave it to us, Commander!”
With many other teams, the defensive work was not as intense.
Soon, seeing that everyone didn’t have any problems, Nash said goodbye, heading to the Solaris Convention Hall.
—
Solaris Convention Hall
Looking at the mysterious beast that carried the expansive building, Nash grew curious.
“Does this thing have a unique innate ability? Furthermore, whose team’s shelter is this?”
“Curious?” a voice sounded from his side.
“Blair?”
“Haha, glad that you still remember me.”
“How could I not?”
Blair was the one who introduced him to the Solaris Alliance.
Although it all went awry later because of Lionas, he still had a good impression of Blair.
“Can you tell me about this?” Nash asked, pointing at the mysterious beast.
“This is the special neutral mysterious beast, given to the top team by the Chronos Empire.”
“Oh? Neutral mysterious beast?”
“Yes. It has an ability to neutralize any power inside, making it a perfect place for this kind of thing.”
“Is that it? Does it have other abilities?”
Since it was specifically granted by the Chronos Empire to the top teams, how could it only have neutralizing power?
“No, that’s it. However, its power lies in who and what power it could neutralize.”
“This—,Does this mean we could be helpless lambs inside of it?”
If the leader of the Solaris Alliance could strip them of power at a moment’s thought, wasn’t it the same as handing their lives to them?
“Yes, as you have thought. However, to strip someone’s power is not easy. In normal circumstances, the mysterious beast would activate its ability without any control, creating a forbidden zone.”
“It’s still dangerous,” Nash frowned.
Hard did not mean impossible. If he were to risk his life walking into such a trap, then Nash would rather not go.
The Nova Shelter had already reached level 5. As long as they lay low and bide their time, they didn’t need to go into this raid.
“Haha, of course everyone knows that. However, this mysterious beast was only borrowed, so no one could control it.”
“Then what do you mean with your words earlier?” Nash lightly punched him, realizing his foolishness.
Once a mysterious beast binds an owner, it can no longer be inherited by others.
Since the Chronos Empire gave it, they were naturally the owner.
Unless they were given a shelter seed, without an owner, no one could control this mysterious beast.
“Haha, I’m just joking. Come on, let’s go inside.”
“Alright…”
