Chapter 391: Star Alliance Stronghold
Following the coordinates sent by the Star Alliance, most cosmic teams and alliances that were struggling began to march against the tide toward them.

Although the great teams and the other top alliances also offered refuge, the distance was too far.

Furthermore, reading through the various regulations and conditions they had to follow, even those a little farther away chose to head to the Star Alliance.

Not only did the Star Alliance demonstrate a free zone where they could stay protected, but the regulations in place were even relatively relaxed.

Perhaps the only place that was comparable to them in terms of conditions was the Liberty Coalition Alliance.

Made up of over ten thousand teams, they were the biggest and most influential cosmic team in the entire uncharted zone.

They even began to faintly surpass the five great teams, increasing their prestige.

However, while the Liberty Coalition Alliance’s offer of refuge was generous, they simply had too many people.

As they say, too many hands spoil the pot. Where there is society, there is hierarchy.

While they could stay safe, it might be worse than going under the umbrella of the great teams or other top alliances.

Although their conditions were stringent, at least it would ensure they still had autonomy.

Soon, marching against the tide of dark beasts, they arrived at the refuge indicated by the Star Alliance.

“Is this the place?”

Seeing the tide of dark beasts that was thicker than anything they’d passed through before, they were dumbfounded.

Is this the so-called safe place? More like hell on earth!

They felt that if they got even a little closer, those rampaging dark beasts would detect and tear them apart.

Stopping in their tracks, they frantically chatted with the Nova Shelter, hoping to get an explanation.

They were promised a safe place, not this hell!

Was the blood they shed along the way all for nothing?

Fortunately, as they were about to despair, a mighty formation of war weapons arrived before them.

“What is this? Where are the people?”

Even as they looked around, they didn’t seem to see even a single individual.

“The Star Alliance Stronghold is on the way forward. Please follow us.” A recorded voice suddenly sounded.

“What do you mean? Can you even take us inside this wall of dark beasts?”

Because the place where the Star Alliance had settled was one of the major veins in this uncharted zone, the energy it possessed was enormous, attracting endless dark beasts.

Although the number of war weapons before them was imposing, they still felt unconfident in the face of such enemies.

“Follow the formation. We’ve opened a secret passage ahead of us.” The operator said briefly as the spiral behemoths continued their return.

“This—a secret passage?”

Hearing they weren’t going for a reckless charge, the cosmic teams that had gathered for warmth earlier heaved a sigh of relief as they cautiously followed the spiral behemoths.

—

Soon, as they got closer to the wall of dark beasts, their nervousness began to rise as they still couldn’t find the secret passage.

“Didn’t you tell us there is a secret passage? Where is it?”

“Are you sending us to our deaths?”

“Let me tell you, I already told many of my friends from other cosmic teams my itinerary. Once I don’t reply, be prepared to be targeted by the world!”

Although there was no prohibition against attacking other teams, once discovered, their reputation would plummet.

Without a reputation, they couldn’t trade or ally with anyone and might even be sabotaged by other teams.

“We are about to enter the secret passage. Please wait…”

“What do you mean—”

Suddenly, before they could complain, they felt their eyes were playing tricks on them as a gaping hole leading underground appeared before them.

“This—”

“How could we not see such a massive hole?”

“Was it hidden by a runic array?”

“It must be. Otherwise, how could we not spot it?”

The hole before them was truly massive.

Reaching a diameter of 1,000 kilometers and a depth of 10,000 kilometers, even a blind person could sense it from far away.

“Please follow the formation orderly. Also, mind any fluctuation of energy if you don’t want to be besieged by dark beasts.” The operator reminded them.

Although they were underground, dark beasts were still being generated.

In fact, they were even stronger than those at the top, making underground living normally unfeasible.

Fortunately, while the dark beasts that were being generated were stronger, the fluctuation of dark energy was greatly blocked, allowing the Aura Mirage to function.

Thus, without the horde of dark beasts coming from outside, such a place was a perfect passageway.

Soon, following the fleet of spiral behemoths, they arrived at a massive plain.

“We have arrived at the Star Alliance Stronghold. Please make yourself at home.” The operator said.

“Thank you for your guidance. Please have a safe journey.”

“Hmm, the others are waiting for you inside. You can ask them for more details on how it works here.”

“Thanks again…”

Watching the operator control the spiral behemoths as they returned to their way back, they couldn’t help but heave a sigh of relief.

After all the disasters, they had finally arrived at a safe place.

Turning to the vast plain before them, their eyes were filled with longing.

Although vast, the place was as empty as it could be. However, with a barrier steadily protecting them from the invading dark beasts, they felt it was plenty enough.

According to the Nova Sector, this seemed to be the power of a shelter treasure.

To enjoy the protection of the barrier, based on their size and number of people, they were required to pay merits of corresponding value.

Although it was expensive, using the merits they didn’t have any other use for in exchange for protection was more than welcome.

Looking at the tranquil space, they couldn’t wait to settle down and relax.

As if a storm was raging while they were safe in a sturdy house, they had nothing more they wanted to do than relax.

“We can finally settle down…”

Walking toward the horizon, smiles hung on their lips.
