Chapter 315: Meeting Another Cosmic Team
Entering Nash’s workshop, they saw countless prospecting detectors moving in perfect sync without anyone inside them.

“This—have you connected their control to the [Weapon Control Module], Brother Nash?” Elijah’s eyes lit up.

If these prospecting detectors could be controlled remotely, it would be a huge advantage!

Far exceeding the number of Spiral Behemoths, the total count of these prospecting devices was over a hundred million, ranging from the size of a person to as large as a satellite.

Although most of them were as fragile as paper in this kind of environment, their sheer numbers made up for it.

Knowing Nash could operate these dark technologies autonomously, the Nova Sector had bought them in bulk.

Since their quality and tier were ordinary, they weren’t nearly as expensive as a single Tier 5 Obsidian Devastator.

“What do you think? Now we no longer have to personally go out and search for resource points,” Nash said with a smile.

Not only was it much safer, but it was also far more efficient, given the number of detectors they had.

With each cosmic elite controlling dozens of them, scouring the entire area would be a breeze.

“That’s great, Brother Nash! You’re really amazing!” Charlotte cheered.

The deaths of the previous cosmic elites had significantly hurt their morale.

Knowing they could die from a single careless mistake had made everyone more cautious and slow.

“Haha, it’s time to call everyone out. We’re not leaving this place until we find a higher-grade resource lode.”

—

Soon after everyone returned to the base, Nash began distributing the prospecting detectors and updating their [Weapon Control Module].

Eager to locate a higher-grade resource lode, they started deploying the detectors toward areas they had previously marked as too dangerous.

From those that had dense dark beast nests, high-energy zones, unusual terrain, and more.

While everyone was busy, Nash began measuring how much computational power each prospecting detector required.

Typically, a Tier 3 dark technology requires approximately 10,000 computational power for semi-automated control.

Turning his focus toward the lower-tier dark technologies, Nash gradually gained a more intuitive understanding of the amount of computation required for each tier.

Depending on the intricacy of the device, a Tier 1 dark technology usually requires between 100 and 1,000 computational power.

Meanwhile, a Tier 2 dark technology required around 1,000 to 10,000 computational power, while a Tier 3 required 10,000 to 100,000 computational power.

It seemed the Spiral Behemoth he created was much simpler and more efficient, as it only required the minimum computational power necessary.

Understanding these fundamentals, Nash now had a clearer draft for his future creations.

Letting the cosmic elites handle the work, Nash finally had the time to focus on the Void Condensation Manual.

Now possessing over 400 billion computational power, Nash had 200 billion available for his personal use.

Taking all of it to the [Library Module System], he began digesting millions of books every hour.

Uploading and comprehending were two different matters.

While he could upload a trillion books a day with just a billion computational power, he could only comprehend a hundred thousand with the same amount.

At his current pace, he should be able to gather a complete array of references to deduce the Void Condensation Manual within a week.

—

Three days later, amidst their busy schedule, one team finally confirmed the location of a Tier 5 resource point nearby.

“Finally found it?!”

Not only was everyone excited, but even Nash felt the thrill.

Looking at the coordinates of the Tier 5 resource point, it was only about thirty thousand kilometers away.

After two or three days of travel, they should be able to reach it.

As for danger, with their full force, no dark beast nest could stop them.

“Leader Nash, there’s only one problem. It seems another Cosmic Team is also heading toward the resource point,” said Edwin, the one who discovered it.

“Did you confirm this? What’s the scale of their team? Do you know who they are?”

“They’re slightly stronger than the one we fought before to get Tsuka. Based on their insignia, they’re from the Arrakis Sector.”

“Arrakis Sector?” Nash repeated, searching through the [Memory Module System].

During the selection of the Shelter Seed, Nash wasn’t just playing with Tsuka; he was also scanning all their potential enemies.

Quickly recalling the team, Nash let out a sigh of relief.

“No problem. There shouldn’t be much trouble.”

“No trouble? How are we supposed to pass through their mighty formation of war weapons?”

The Nova Sector wasn’t the only one that had invested heavily in the Cosmic Competition, especially in Tier 5 and Tier 4 dark technologies.

Every sector team did its best to fill its quota. Otherwise, it was better not to join the Ashura Path at all.

Perhaps the only difference was that, besides dark technology, the Nova Sector had also bought other resources, making their overall investment more expensive.

“Don’t worry. It’s just dark technology. Those things are for dark beasts! They’re strong, but too clumsy to deal with us,” Nash said with a faint smile, shaking his head.

Unless they faced the enemy head-on, they had little to worry about from such war weapons.

With their advantage, the Spiral Behemoths, the enemy wouldn’t even know what hit them.

“Let’s go. It’s time to fight our first battle in the Dark Plane,” Nash said, reassuring everyone with a confident smile.

—

Soon, after marching for two days straight, and just as they were about to reach the Tier 5 resource point, the Arrakis Team spotted them.

Not taking the Nova Team seriously, they simply sent an envoy to drive them away.

Although confident they could easily wipe the Nova Team out, they didn’t want to incur any penalties.

The Cosmic Competition encouraged rivalry and competition to show each team’s potential, but not outright killing.

Otherwise, without such penalties, the top teams could simply slaughter the weaker ones, stealing their resources, dark technology, and even their Shelter Seeds.

If that happened, what use would the established rules before have?

Choosing to negotiate instead of fighting, an envoy appeared before the Nova Team.

“Who is your leader?! Come out and meet the envoy of the Asskar Team!” the envoy shouted arrogantly.
