Chapter 307: Shelter Seed
After sending most of the cosmic elites to their designated zones, Zeke and the others took the rest to a special venue, the Ashura Path Convention.

Needing to go deeper into the uncharted zone, they would be the last batch to be sent to the Dark Plane.

Along the way, Zeke discussed various precautions and the processes they needed to follow.

Soon, while instructing them on the important matters, they arrived at the place.

“This is it…” Zeke muttered nervously.

If sending the earlier cosmic elites had been nothing more than a formality they’d long grown used to, sending Nash and the others to the Ashura Path Convention felt like gambling their entire future.

Whether it was the talents themselves or the wealth they had invested, losing them in the Dark Plane would be a massive setback, one that could push the Nova Sector back hundreds of thousands, or even a million years.

“Why are you more nervous than us, Instructor Zeke?” Nash teased.

“You brat!”

“Haha, don’t worry. I’ll make sure we return victorious, no matter what.”

“Then I’ll leave it to you…”

Watching the seven million brave warriors of the Nova Sector walk toward the path of doom, they couldn’t help but clench their fists.

Wishing them the best of luck, they stood still until everyone disappeared from sight.

—

Inside the Ashura Path Convention.

As they entered the massive space, the first thing that caught their eyes was the Shelter Seeds floating above.

Shelter Seeds, a unique, growth-type shelter available to all who took the Ashura Path.

Typically, a team would receive a shelter core, select a designated area, and gradually explore the surrounding environment, allowing it to grow.

However, because they were heading to the deepest part of the uncharted zone, where resources were scarce and even the powerful Void Administrators couldn’t reach.

A new solution had to be created: the Shelter Seed, a growth-type shelter capable of moving and venturing through the Dark Plane.

A Shelter Seed was basically a battleship that could grow, move, and even attack.

“What Shelter Seed should we pick, Nash?” Camilla asked, looking at the dazzling array of choices floating above.

“Of course, we’ll pick the beast-type Shelter Seed,” Nash said with certainty.

There were three types of Shelter Seeds: technological, beast, and nature types.

Technological types were artificial Shelter Seeds created by scientists.

There was usually no problem with a technological Shelter Seed.

Not only were they easy to raise, but they were also adaptable to any terrain, modular, and easily modified to one’s desire.

In the hands of a powerful scientist, it was the most formidable shelter, capable of running rampant in the Dark Plane.

The only problem was that they were just a bunch of beginners.

Aside from two Tier-1 scientific scholars, everyone else only knew how to fight.

There weren’t even enough high-tier professionals to support or modify it.

Furthermore, with only three years in the Cosmic Competition, they had too little time to do much.

As a result, aside from the basic skeleton of a technological shelter, they couldn’t create anything noteworthy.

It could be said that while a technological Shelter Seed had unlimited potential, its lower limit was also the lowest.

On the other hand, a beast-type shelter was a native creature born in the Dark Plane.

It wasn’t classified as a Void Beast or Dark Beast, but rather a mysterious species capable of infinite growth.

There was little information available about their origins; the only known fact was that they could be found in special zones within the Dark Plane.

As for their potential, it depended entirely on the mysterious beast’s bloodline.

Some could grow as large as a world, while others could expand to the size of a star or even several planetary systems.

Of course, for the Cosmic Competition, such powerful, mysterious beasts wouldn’t exist.

At most, they could grow to the size of a megacity capable of housing over a billion residents.

Finally, the nature-type Shelter Seed, which was far rarer than even the highest-quality mysterious beasts.

It was so rare that it wasn’t even among the available options in the Cosmic Competition.

Even the information about them was scattered and lacked substance.

From floating clouds, mountain formations, world trees, ice fortresses, and more, only a vague record exists at best.

As for details such as their origin, structure, or potential, Nash found nothing.

With only two types of Shelter Seeds left to choose from, it was a no-brainer to pick the beast type.

The only problem was which mysterious beast to choose.

Looking at the beast-type Shelter Seeds floating above them, Nash quickly thought of how to identify their potential through the runic command formations etched into their bodies.

As for more obvious signs, such as energy density, spirit, utility, size, power, or speed, they weren’t particularly reliable.

It’s not that those signs were inaccurate, but since most relied on them, Nash couldn’t gain any advantage with his weaker team.

Only the top teams could freely pick the strongest, while the rest had to scramble for what was left.

Soon, he finally spotted a beast-type shelter with potential comparable to those at the top.

Although it looked weak and listless, Nash guessed it was probably just hungry or lacking a specific resource.

Finding the perfect mysterious beast, Nash hurriedly urged his team to move.

Meanwhile, seeing the creature Nash had chosen, most of the team looked confused.

“An elephant-like mysterious beast? Are you sure about this, leader?”

“It doesn’t have a wide range of attack skills, moves slow, and can’t even navigate rough terrain.”

Aside from its size, defence, and camouflage ability, an elephant-like mysterious beast didn’t seem to offer much.

“Just follow me. All the other mysterious beasts have already been taken. If you don’t want to fight, then hurry,” Nash urged.

Unfortunately, just as they arrived and were about to secure the beast-type Shelter Seed, another team appeared.

“Leave! This one’s already reserved for us!”

Hearing the arrogant tone, Nash quickly scanned the group before him.

“That’s it?”

Aside from having more members and a few extra Void Venerates, they didn’t seem impressive.

Confident they could handle them, Nash didn’t back down.

“We were here first. You’re the ones who should leave…”
