Chapter 305: Final Preparation
The day before the Cosmic Competition, Nash returned to the conference hall.

“How many do you think you’ve convinced to join us?” Zeke asked as Nash approached.

“A few million, I’d estimate,” Nash replied.

“Oh? That low? You don’t think you can hit 10 million, or even all 25 million?”

“It’s impossible. Given the dangers of the Ashura Path, a few million members joining us is already a lot,” Nash said with a sigh.

Though the crowd’s expressions yesterday suggested many were tempted by the rewards, it was likely just reckless greed.

Once the reality of the danger sank in, fear would take hold, stopping most of them from moving forward.

Although the rewards were truly generous, few could really sacrifice themselves for others, even for their loved ones.

While the regular Cosmic Competition wasn’t foolproof, it offered a strong chance of survival.

Without having any confidence in the Nova Sector, most saw the Ashura Path as a certain death sentence.

Only the desperate, the confident, or the reckless cosmic elites would join for the rewards alone.

“It seems you’ve already figured it out,” Zeke said with a sigh, confirming Nash’s conclusion.

“If you’d mentioned the 120 trillion sols the Nova Sector invested, more should’ve joined, knowing we have confidence to have what it takes.”

Unfortunately, Nash had deliberately glossed over that detail.

“A few million cosmic elites is already plenty. Any more would be hard to manage,” Nash said.

In a somewhat peaceful area, he could adopt a laissez-faire approach. However, in the depths of the uncharted zone, more people would just mean more casualties.

Thinking of the dangers in the place they were headed, Nash had to micromanage everyone and everything for even a chance of survival.

Especially at the start, Nash would need to split every strand of his consciousness to command and manage everyone.

Thus, even if all the cosmic elites were willing to join, Nash would still have to weed out the unfit.

Instead of rallying the weak, he preferred fewer but more determined elites who feared nothing, not even death!

“Then, it’s up to you. You’re the one going to the Cosmic Competition, not me,” Zeke relented.

As their instructor, he could only offer advice, not make decisions for them.

Seeing everything was within Nash’s plan, Zeke no longer interfered.

“Just wait for us, Instructor Zeke. We’ll forge a path for the Nova Sector to blaze through,” Nash said with a smile, heading toward the stage.

—

Walking to the stage, Nash swept his eyes over the crowd.

“Not bad… It seems the Nova Sector still has over 7 million brave and courageous warriors,” Nash muttered, a bit surprised.

Based on Zeke’s reaction, he had expected at most 2–3 million cosmic elites would join in, not over 7 million!

“Since you’re here, all of you should’ve made up your minds to join us on our journey down the Ashura Path.”

“Don’t worry, this path isn’t a dead end, nor are we marching to our deaths.”

“In fact, some of you may already know the Nova Sector invested 120 trillion sols in dark weapons and other resources for this competition!”

“Have confidence, no need to fear. We’re not entering this Cosmic Competition to lose and die but to win and thrive!”

At Nash’s speech, the crowd erupted in an uproar, stunned by the news they’d just heard.

One hundred twenty trillion sols?! How much money was that?! All for one competition?! Was the Nova Sector insane?!

Crazy or not, their fear and apprehension were instantly replaced by a sense of confidence.

Since the Nova Sector went all in, gambling almost all their fortune, didn’t that mean they were confident of victory?

Seeing their expression of certain death replaced by confidence and fighting spirit, Nash added another thing.

“The second thing I want to tell you is about my confidence, my genetic ability that earned me this position…”

Erupting with power, Nash activated his Tier 5 runic soul enhancement treasure, sharing five runic module systems with everyone.

From the [Communication Module], [Map Module], [Appraisal Module], [Weapon Control Module], and [Library Module].

Feeling his void energy was about to be depleted, Nash quickly drank a perfect quality void potion, instantly replenishing his energy as he continued.

Meanwhile, suddenly receiving foreign power in their bodies, they jolted awake, instinctively trying to reject it.

Fortunately, Nash’s mastery of runic programs and some understanding of runic commands allowed the runic module system he shared to hold a stable form.

Unless they consciously erased it, the runic module systems wouldn’t vanish with a single touch.

Thus, given the time to examine the foreign energy and recalling Nash’s words, they gradually merged it with their void energy.

“What is this…?”

Shocked by the virtual panel that appeared before their eyes, they couldn’t help but instinctively tap the first tab, Communication Module.

Suddenly, various communication threads appeared on the virtual panel.

[Communication Module:

From the forum that allowed everyone to chat and share thoughts, to the Private Chat that enabled individual communication, the Team Chat that let groups connect simultaneously, and the Mission Board that allowed the leader or those with permission to assign tasks.

Feeling the novelty, they were amazed that such a genetic ability even existed.

Thinking of its possibilities, they couldn’t wait to dive into the Cosmic Competition.

Turning to the next tab, the [Map Module], their excitement surged higher.

As its name suggested, it was a map displaying their positions and any environment they’d seen.

With such a powerful module, they felt like they had heavenly eyes to navigate any terrain in the Dark Plane!

“Awesome! Too awesome!”

Just with these two modules, their confidence in the Cosmic Competition soared to unprecedented heights.

With Communication and Map, they no longer have to fear isolation in the Dark Plane.

As they say, the greatest enemy isn’t external but internal. Knowing they weren’t alone, they could focus on their enemies and goals.

Turning to the final three module systems, the fire that was burning in their hearts surged higher.

“In this coming Cosmic Competition… we will win!”

“We will win!”
