Chapter 290: Truth Market (2)
“Well… how about 900,000 Sol each?” Keith compromised.

“That’s it?”

“That’s really it, customer! My potions are the cheapest in the Covenant of Truth. Any lower, and others might come after me with an axe,” Keith said honestly.

In the outside world, such perfect potions could fetch up to 3 million Sol.

If not for his desire to build connections within the Covenant of Truth, he wouldn’t sell them so cheaply.

Of course, it’s because most people outside were too poor to afford more than medium or high-quality potions.

Besides a few orders a month, most of his perfect-quality potions were rarely sold.

Unlike Nash, who was meticulous about his foundation, most were content with high-quality potions.

Unless someone could advance further than a Tier 8 War God, such impurities weren’t an issue.

Reading Keith’s expression, Nash saw he was telling the truth.

“Fine, 900,000 sol it is. I’ll take a thousand potions. Is that doable?”

“Yes, but it’ll take time to concoct.”

Keith only had a few hundred potions, far short of Nash’s order.

“How long? I need them before the upcoming Cosmic Competition,” Nash reminded.

“No problem, I can complete the order in a few days.”

“That’s good. I’ll arrive in the Capital of the Solaris Domain in about 20 days. Can you have it ready by then?”

“Leave it to me!” Keith patted his chest confidently.

Noticing Nash still browsing the potions displayed in the cabinets, Keith’s eyes lit up with excitement.

“Does the customer want anything else? I promise I would give you the cheapest price!”

“How much for this?” Nash asked, pointing to the Tier 3 Soul Explosion Potions.

Reading its description, he saw it could amplify a Tier 3 Void General’s soul power up to nine times.

As another perfect-quality potion, it had no side effects, allowing one to use it continuously.

“You’ve got a keen eye, customer! This one’s cheaper than the last. Normally, it’s 100,000 Sol, but if you buy in bulk, I can offer a discount!”

“I want 5,000 potions. What’s the discount?” Nash said after a moment’s thought.

Each Tier 3 Soul Explosion Potion lasted about 30 minutes.

Five thousand potions would sustain him for over three months, even with continuous use.

Of course, he didn’t plan to use them like a regular drink, but only for emergencies.

“Five thousand potions?” Keith’s excitement grew at the prospect of another bulk order.

“Since you’re buying so many, how about a 10% discount, same as the other potion?”

“That’s fine.”

“Good, good. Does the customer need anything else? I can also craft customize potions you know of.”

“No, this is enough,” Nash said, shaking his head.

Though other potions caught his eye, he didn’t want to spend more.

“Is that so? Then let’s draft the contract…”

Soon, they drafted and signed an agreement, with Nash paying a 50% down payment of 1.124 billion Sol.

Seeing another chunk vanish from his account, Nash couldn’t help but sigh.

“I need to quickly transfer the money we earned in the dark plane…” Nash thought.

From his share, Nash only had 1.84 quadrillion Nova Credits.

Having spent about 1.284 quadrillion Nova Credits, Nash had only 556 trillion left from his share.

If he spent a little more, it would dip into the share of others.

Though he could use the credit line and repay it later, Nash would feel ashamed internally.

Wanting to maintain his prestige with the team, he couldn’t embezzle the money, even if he could pay it back.

Before, back in the shelter, he felt entitled to take what he needed.

But now, with the shares already divided, the money was no longer his.

Embezzling funds that didn’t belong to him would disrupt his mental state.

Planning to transfer the funds to Camilla temporarily, Nash said goodbye to Keith.

“I look forward to your visit in the Capital of the Solaris Domain, dear customer! May you have a safe journey…”

“Hmm…”

Continuing to wander around the Truth Market, Nash stumbled upon something else that caught his interest: Dark Technology.

As items usable in the Dark Plane, they were the pay-to-win route one could take in the Cosmic Competition.

Thinking of buying some to disassemble and study, Nash browsed the selection.

From large-scale weapons like the Spiral Behemoth to siege weapons, anti-air units, aquatic weapons, unmanned warning devices, high-yield bombs, and other specialized gear.

Buying one or two of each type to disassemble and research, Nash spent another billion Sol.

Seeing his money vanish faster and faster, Nash forced himself to stop while he was ahead.

Unfortunately, like a demon whispering in his ear, Nash spotted a runic item he desperately needed.

“A Tier 5 Runic Soul Enhancement Treasure?” Calming his nerves, Nash approached the stall and asked for the price.

“How much is this one?”

“Seven billion Sol.”

“What? Can you repeat that?”

Most Tier 5 runic items were only worth about 1 to 2 billion Sol.

Even rare ones could only reach a value of 3 to 5 billion. But 7 billion? Nash thought he must have misheard.

“I said it’s 7 billion Sol,” the stall owner repeated with a flat voice.

Seeing Nash’s reaction, the owner pegged him as another broke dreamer who couldn’t afford a decent runic item.

“Can you make it cheaper?”

“No, this is the final price. If you can’t afford it, leave!”

Though Tier 5 runic weapons typically ranged from 1 to 5 billion Sol, soul-type runic treasures were different.

Not only were they rarer and harder to obtain, but they were also in high demand among scientists to boost their abilities.

If not for the steep price he had set, it would’ve sold long ago.

“I’ll buy it for 6 billion Sol,” Nash offered, frowning at the owner’s dismissive attitude.

“No, that’s too low.”

“Is it? It’s already above the market price. If you can find someone to pay more, be my guest,” Nash pressed, catching a flicker in the owner’s eyes.

“Can you add a bit more?”

“No, this is my final offer. Six billion Sol. Take it or leave it!”

“Just a little more?” The stall owner wavered, feeling torn.

As Nash pointed out, 6 billion was already a steep price.

Most who saw the Soul Enhancement Treasure fled the moment they heard the cost.

Those who lingered offered at most 5.5 billion Sol.

“No, this is all I have,” Nash said, stepping back as if ready to walk away.

Sure enough, as if snapping the final thread, the stall owner caved in.

“Alright, alright, 6 billion it is. Just take it as my loss!”

“Heh, glad you came to your senses…”
