Chapter 288: Covenant Library
Entering the library, Nash was once again greeted by a sea of books.

However, unlike the cluttered Nova Library or the orderly Spirit Pavilion, the Library of the Covenant of Truth carried a sense of grandeur.

As if standing atop the wisdom and history of all beings, Nash felt reverence for the accumulated knowledge of humanity.

“So this is the Treasure Trove of Knowledge of the entire Chronos Empire…”

“A newcomer? Haha, this is only the knowledge accumulated in the Solaris Domain, not the whole Chronos Empire,” A person who just entered the library corrected, overhearing his murmur.

“Oh? This is just the knowledge gathered from the Solaris Domain? Amazing!”

Although he hadn’t seen the entire structure of the library, Nash had a virtual map that allowed him to roughly estimate its scale.

Given the library’s size, even the Earth’s Solar System might not be large enough to contain it.

Yet this vast collection was only from the Solaris Domain?

With such a comparison, Nash couldn’t begin to fathom the true scope of the Chronos Empire’s knowledge.

Chatting with the person before him, Nash asked about the various aspects of the library.

From inquiring about free books he could read, where to find individuals to exchange knowledge for credits, how to earn contribution points, how to navigate to different sections, etc.

“Thank you for your guidance,” Nash said gratefully.

“No worries. Let our exploration of truth continue…”

Nodding goodbye to the kind passerby, Nash swiftly navigated the library to find a place to read.

The library had multiple teleportation points inside, allowing instant travel to each section.

Unable to use his internal authority within the library, Nash followed others to the nearest transit point.

“To the Tier 3 Soul Condensation Compendium Manuals.” Choosing a destination, Nash vanished in a flash.

—

Arriving at the section housing all the free Tier 3 Soul Condensation Manuals, Nash quickly connected to the [Library Module System] to upload the books.

Lacking enough Soul Condensation Manuals for reference, his progress on deducing the Infinite Soul Condensation Manual had been slow.

With numerous free books available for reference, Nash temporarily paused his deduction planning to upload a trillion books first.

“Huh~, fortunately, my internal permission still works.” Nash heaved a sigh of relief, seeing the [Library Module System] functioning normally.

Initially, when he learned that he couldn’t instantly warp without using a transit point, he was worried his direct connection to the virtual world might fail. It seemed his concern was unwarranted.

Direct transfers were likely prohibited to avoid data disturbances in the library.

With such a dense amount of data gathered in one place, unrestricted teleportation would create chaos.

Sitting down, Nash picked up a book to pass the time while the [Library Module System] uploaded data.

As he read, he noted that the book’s quality was indeed low.

However, this was relative. Compared to books in the Nova Sector, it even had a slight edge.

If the soul condensation manuals in the Nova Library had a maximum enhancement ratio of 1:3000, the ones here reached a ratio of 1:3100.

Curious about the paid books, Nash set the book down and opened his library’s panel to browse.

“Tch, these paid books are on another level.”

Nash had assumed that paid books might have a ratio of 1:4,000 or 1:5,000.

However, after browsing their descriptions, the reality was more astonishing.

The minimum enhancement ratio for soul condensation manuals here was at least 1:9000, nearing the theoretical limit.

Manuals with ratios between 1:4000 and 1:8000 seemed to be allocated to other organizations and families to support their livelihoods.

After all, if the Covenant of Truth sold everything, others would have no path forward, stifling innovation and scientific progress.

Checking the prices, each soul condensation manual ranged from 3,000 to 9,000 Seals of Truth.

Though the cost seemed only in the thousands, each Seal of Truth was worth roughly a million Sol or a trillion Nova Credits!

Moreover, even with the money, one couldn’t purchase them without some connections.

Seals of Truth were the most valuable currency in the Covenant of Truth, earned only through the discovery of new knowledge, world-changing innovations, or groundbreaking creations.

This system was similar to the Spirit Pavilion but pitted against the collective knowledge of the entire Solaris Domain.

In other words, the uploaded knowledge was compared to all data across the Solaris Domain for evaluation.

When Nash tried uploading his knowledge about the dark beast, as he had in the Spirit Pavilion, it scored a 99.9999…% similarity, earning him points that added more point-zeros than his fingers.

Even when he uploaded the blueprint and creation process for the Spiral Behemoth, it only earned him a mere 3 Seals of Truth, which seemed like a joke.

“Three trillion Nova Credits for my work? What a disgrace.”

Nash realized that without sharing the data about the runic program, he would struggle to earn any Seals of Truth in this library.

This was just a comparison against the Solaris Domain’s data. If it was measured against the entire Chronos Empire’s knowledge, Nash doubted he could even earn a single point.

Fortunately, to even be evaluated against the Chronos Empire’s full database, one had to be at least a Tier 5 Scientific Archsage.

For now, to encourage new scientists and foster competition, each Domain Territory’s data remained separate.

Closing the virtual panel, Nash picked up a soul condensation journal to pass the time.

Since he couldn’t harvest free money from the Covenant of Truth, he could only turn to the books.

Though their quality was relatively low, they were sufficient for his needs.

Even if he needed longer processing and deduction time, they were free, which was enough for him.

—

A day later, after uploading about a trillion soul condensation manuals, surpassing even the Nova Library’s entire collection, Nash left the library.

Although he wanted to also gather books on void condensation manuals, void elemental manuals, soul transformation manuals, and more advanced knowledge, his computational power was stretched thin.

For now, his priority was deducing the Infinite Soul Condensation Manual.

“This is enough…”

Planning to read more when he had greater computational power, Nash resumed deducing the Infinite Soul Condensation Manual as he headed to the primary market in the Covenant of Truth.

Though he lacked Seals of Truth, he had credits to spend.

As long as he avoided the Covenant of Truth’s internal shop, he wouldn’t need to use any seal of truth.

“The Truth Market…”

Locating the primary trading fair on the virtual map, Nash swiftly vanished from his spot.
