Chapter 274: Planetary Genetic Potion
“You!”
Still feeling disbelief, Zeke looked at Nash seriously.
Peering past his defenseless mask, he searched for any hint of a lie in his expression.
Yet, after probing further with more questions, everything Nash said held no loopholes.
Nash even knew the special reward mechanism of the Void Administrator by upgrading their shelter to level 5 in less than a year and a half, which was not a common knowledge.
Half-believing and half-doubting, Zeke decided to let it go for now.
As long as everyone was safe, the details weren’t too relevant.
“Here, Instructor Zeke. These are the books you lent me before. I failed to build the library as you asked.” Nash said, returning the storage ring containing the books.
“Hmm? No need. Raising the shelter to level 5 before the deadline was more than a mere library could offer. How could I ask for more?” Zeke shook his head.
If Nash’s words were true, how could a simple library compare to their achievements?
“Is that so? Then I’ll keep these copies for a while.” Nash smiled, confirming he could hold onto the books.
Although most of what remained wasn’t immediately useful, it was still wise to keep them in case he needed them later.
“What’s your next step? I’ll see if I can help,” Zeke offered generously.
Though not everything was confirmed, he felt compelled to reward Nash.
“Anything I need?” Nash’s eyes lit up.
“Uh—as long as it’s within my power, I’ll help.”
“Can I have a Planetary Grade Genetic Potion?” Nash asked excitedly.
Among all things, a Planetary Grade Genetic Potion was the most critical thing he needed.
Not only could it amplify his physique and soul from a hundred to a thousand times, but it could also evolve his genetic ability!
From mere runic patterns, he could gain the ability to see and interact with runic commands, which represented the very laws of the universe!
“Uh—that’s impossible. The Nova Sector doesn’t have such a scarce resource,” Zeke said, shaking his head.
A Planetary Grade Genetic Potion was beyond what the Nova Sector could produce.
No matter their wealth or status, such a potion wasn’t available in the Nova Sector.
“None? Then where can I get one?”
Nash had assumed that since Skylar easily obtained a second genetic potion, they’d be widely available in the Nova Sector. It seemed he was wrong.
“If you want a Planetary Grade Genetic Potion, you can only get one in the Capital of the Solaris Domain.”
Planetary Grade Genetic Potions weren’t so rare that the Nova Sector couldn’t secure a few for its elite talents, but they were treated like banned items that required registration.
They could only be used within the Solaris Domain and not taken elsewhere.
One even had to use it on the spot upon buying them, preventing any other tricks.
It seemed the authorities feared that their monopoly on such potions might undermine the Solaris Domain’s prestige.
Hearing Zeke explain the reasoning behind this restriction, Nash could only sigh.
“It seems I’ll have to wait until we reach the capital of the Solaris Domain for my next genetic potion.”
“Don’t worry too much. With your achievement this time, the Nova Government should provide you with the funds to buy the potion,” Zeke said reassuringly.
“That’s great!” Nash’s eyes lit up.
Though he didn’t know the cost of the genetic potion, it surely wouldn’t be cheap.
“Is there anything else?” Zeke asked, unable to fulfill Nash’s previous request.
“Hmm, what about runic engraving? Is there a Tier 5 runic engraver in the Nova Sector? I’d like to commission an item.”
“Yes, I know a friend. I’ll ask him to do the engraving free of charge,” Zeke said with a nod, finally able to meet one of Nash’s requests.
“Free? Haha, thank you, Instructor Zeke!” Nash beamed.
Since it was free, he could save hundreds of trillions of Nova Credits!
“Anything else?” Zeke asked, checking if Nash had more needs.
“Yes, this is all the harvest we gathered from the Dark Plane. I’d like to sell it to the Nova Government,” Nash said, handing Zeke a storage item filled with materials.
“Hmm? Good. I’ll have them calculate the value and give you a price within a week. I’ll also take you to my friend to have your item engraved with advanced runic language.”
“Thank you…”
Seeing that Nash needed nothing else, Zeke quickly left, busy with his own matters.
Left alone, Nash finally had time to check his runic panel.
[Nash Navre:
Body Saturation: 10,000%
Body Tempering: 10,000%
Body Condensation: 1,000%
Soul Saturation: 199,105%
Soul Fortification: 111,235%
Void Amplification: 11.010 million
Soul Amplification: 11.322 million
Physique: 100x
Runic System: 12
Universal System: 2]
“Tsk, my soul amplification really took a hit!”
From over a billion to a mere 11 million, Nash had to dial down the computational power of each module system to the minimum.
It was like switching from a supercomputer to a basic desktop. Nash couldn’t adjust for a while.
Worse still was the efficiency of his soul training.
From soaring like a rocket to plodding along in a car, the difference was so stark that his progress felt like crawling.
“It seems my progress will stall for a while…” Sighing helplessly, Nash opened his intercom.
His first task after returning to reality was to take the evaluation to become an official scientist.
To streamline the process, Nash called Arthur, Camilla’s grandfather, for guidance.
“Hmm? Nash? Why’re you calling? Need something? By the way, where’s Camilla? I haven’t reached her in a while,” Arthur asked, firing off a barrage of questions.
Deep in his research, Arthur was oblivious to events outside.
Though he knew his granddaughter was competing in the domain-level cosmic competition, he didn’t realize she was training in the Dark Plane.
“Camilla’s fine. She’s deep in training and couldn’t answer your calls,” Nash said, keeping the full truth to himself.
“Anyway, I called hoping Grandpa Arthur could guide me through the process of becoming an official scientist…”
