I Can Assimilate Everything - Chapter 555
Chapter 555: Death makes fanatics!
Achilles had assimilated the surrounding atmospheric Living Existential Authority of Life which gave him the inclination towards vitality and growth, and he had then proceeded to assimilate even more of this concentrated power in the Life Pool that Mycelle brought him to where he underwent transformation to become a genuine member of the Primordial Civilization of Life.
There he had gone a step further to assimilate the idol-like statue of THE Slumbering Genesis itself, and in that profound moment he had denied following the Way of Life entirely, instead identifying his own Way of Existence that operated according to principles no established Civilization had codified.
Because he was so weak relative to scales of power, he couldn’t fully and truly be considered to have embarked on his Way in complete form, but he still knew his Way regardless of his current limitations. His Way was the Way of Assimilation, and it represented fundamental approach to existence that transcended simple consumption to touch upon something closer to existential integration and metamorphosis!
Even though he was not following the Way of Life due to his own uniqueness, he could exhibit the terrifying wonders of this Way and Civilization through his ability to embody what he’d consumed without being bound by their restrictions.
So if he assimilated a genuine Member of the Civilization of Necrocracy, an organization that was actually known to be the most powerful since their leader had gone against all other entities that held the same distinctions and actually decimated every single one of them during the Age of Collapse…
Necrocracy was powerful. Death was powerful. And he wanted to see what capabilities such assimilation would grant.
What was most important was observing exactly what he would obtain from assimilating the genuine member of such a feared Civilization, and his mind buzzed with anticipation about the advantages that might emerge from possessing both Life and Death authorities simultaneously.
With his eyes burning brightly and his consciousness focused entirely on the technique he was employing, he proceeded to urge his existence forward with command that resonated through every particle of his being. In the next moment, the entire body of The Living Necrocracy in front of him began to dissolve as Mor’takis disappeared in torrents of obsidian light that flowed directly into Achilles’s core.
HUUM!
His existence buzzed with sensation that transcended physical pleasure or pain to touch upon something closer to fundamental satisfaction, and his eyes briefly shone with obsidian luster that would have revealed what was occurring if anyone had been watching closely enough.
But he hid absolutely everything through conscious effort that suppressed the visible manifestations of what he was integrating, and he only emanated the waves of verdant Life on the outside at this moment while concealing the death principles being woven into his fundamental structure.
Inside of his existence, a terrifying transformation was taking place that felt even more intense than the pure concentration of Living Existential Authority of Life he’d assimilated in the Life Pool. The two opposed principles should have rejected each other violently, should have torn his being apart through their fundamental incompatibility, but his Way of Assimilation mediated between them in ways that normal understanding couldn’t adequately explain.
Prompts bloomed in front of him with intensity that demanded his full attention, and they detailed transformations that were rewriting his fundamental nature in real time.
You have Assimilated a genuine Member of one of the strongest Primordial Civilizations in observable existence.
The Primordial Civilization of Necrocracy has dominated most regions of reality through accumulated superiority that spans eons of conflict and consolidation.
Since you have already opened the roadmap of your Way of Existence and currently hold an unbreakable link to the Primordial Civilization of Life, your Way of Assimilation has made it exponentially easier to form additional unbreakable links to other Primordial Civilizations.
The Assimilation of a single genuine Member of a Civilization is sufficient to provide you with pure concentration of their fundamental authority, allowing your Way of Existence to fully integrate what their Civilization stands for at conceptual level.
Transformation Initiated: You have gained the distinction of a Living Necrocracy.
…!
Achilles felt his existence internally explode with power and understanding that transcended simple capability enhancement to touch upon profound comprehension!
His consciousness expanded to accommodate knowledge that Mor’takis had accumulated through service to the most dominant force in Observable Existence, and he felt deathly principles weaving themselves into his fundamental architecture with integration so complete it seemed they’d always been present.
Death. Necrocracy.
The concepts revealed themselves to his enhanced awareness with clarity that suggested he was perceiving truths rather than simple information!
Death was not mere cessation or destruction as conventional understanding suggested, he realized with growing appreciation for the philosophy underlying Necrocracy’s dominance.
It was transformation at the most fundamental level, and it represented the ultimate expression of change that all existence inevitably moved toward regardless of how desperately beings clung to continuation!
Death was not enemy of life but rather its inevitable complement, the natural conclusion that gave meaning to all the desperate striving that preceded it.
A Civilization based around deathly principles was not simply an organization dedicated to destruction and decimation as frightened opponents characterized it, but rather acknowledgment of the reality that other Civilizations refused to accept.
Necrocracy had understood what the Civilization of Life desperately denied, that continuation for its own sake was meaningless without acknowledging the endings that gave each moment its significance!
They had built their entire philosophical framework around embracing rather than fighting the fundamental tendency of existence toward entropy and dissolution.
The natural state of reality was disorder, and imposing order required constant energy expenditure that could only be maintained temporarily before inevitable collapse reasserted itself.
Life burned resources to delay endings, constructing elaborate systems that temporarily pushed back against entropic tide, but such resistance was ultimately futile gesture that merely postponed rather than prevented what must occur.
Death accepted this truth and worked with rather than against reality’s fundamental nature, which gave Necrocracy advantages that opposition forces couldn’t match through desperate defiance alone.
This was why Necrocracy was so powerful!
THE Corpse Hierophant had won the Age of Collapse not through superior firepower or brilliance alone, but through aligning his Civilization with principles that reality itself supported.
Every being that lived was moving toward death regardless of how circuitous their path might be, and Necrocracy simply accelerated what was always going to occur while harvesting the released energy to fuel their own expansion.
But there was more to death than simple inevitability, Achilles realized as his understanding deepened!
Death was also peace, and it represented cessation of struggle that beings exhausted themselves fighting. The terror that living beings felt when contemplating their endings stemmed not from death itself but from attachment to what they would lose, and letting go of such attachments revealed the profound stillness that waited beyond desperate clinging to continuation.
Death was also memory, and it represented the ultimate form of transformation where individual existence dissolved back into cosmic substrate that would fuel future manifestations.
Nothing was truly lost in death but merely changed, and the energy that comprised collapsed beings would be repurposed into new forms that carried traces of what had come before. In this sense, death was not ending but metamorphosis, and Necrocracy understood this in ways that Life’s adherents refused to acknowledge.
Death was inevitability that gave urgency to action, and it was teacher that revealed what truly mattered by stripping away everything that didn’t survive confrontation with finality!
Oh!
Achilles felt this energy flowing through him as he understood why Mor’takis and Vel’tharion seemed like such fanatics!
Death was judge that evaluated all beings according to whether they’d accomplished something meaningful before their allotted time expired, and it was ultimate equalizer that made no distinction between powerful entities and insignificant insects when their moments arrived!
He shook his head and sighed as these profound musings settled into his consciousness and became part of his expanded understanding. The philosophy was seductive in its elegant simplicity, and he could see how beings who fully internalized these principles would become formidable opponents who fought without fear of consequences that terrified those still clinging desperately to continuation.
When he opened his eyes again, they flashed with silent obsidian brilliance that lasted for heartbeat before he suppressed the visible manifestation, and nearby Mycelle asked with concern evident in her voice.
“Noble Sir, are you okay?”
…!
She asked this question because the immensity of existence spreading from his body had felt even grander after he devoured Mor’takis, multiple times more intense than what it had been before the assimilation.
Of course this increase was only expressed outwardly as his aura of Life becoming even more potent and pure, even though there was a sea of death principles behind its brilliant facade that remained completely concealed from external observation.
He simply nodded toward Mycelle with an expression that suggested he’d successfully completed a difficult technique and required no assistance recovering from its effects, because he could feel his existence still changing and prompts that related to the capabilities of Living Necrocracies forming!
