Chapter 553: Emergence! II
Mycelle’s response was immediate and overwhelming. Her aura exploded outward with force that made the entire hall tremble, and verdant-gold radiance blazed from her form with intensity that suggested she’d been restraining considerable power during normal operations.

Her expression had shifted from calculation to righteous fury!

“All signs of death need to be extinguished in the brilliant allure of life!”

Her voice carried the weight of absolute certainty as dozens of Minor Glyphs of Life materialized around her hands and limbs like valiant warriors responding to their commander’s call.

Each Glyph pulsed with concentrated authority, and they moved with coordinated precision that indicated extensive combat experience in deploying such techniques.

The Glyphs rotated around her form in defensive formation that would pulverize any obsidian deathly authority that came near her, and Achilles observed how each one carried sufficient power to severely damage or kill conventional Living Existences caught in their range.

Vel’tharion laughed at her declaration, and his own Minor Glyphs of Necrocracy began manifesting in response.

Dozens of black symbols appeared around his form, each one radiating concentrated death energy that made the surrounding air feel colder and heavier. He flew upward while forming obsidian spears of deathly light, using his Minor Glyphs as crafting mechanisms that shaped raw necrocratic authority into weapons designed to pierce through all signs of vitality.

The battle that erupted was terrifying and brutal.

Mycelle moved first, her Minor Glyphs launching forward in coordinated assault that came from multiple angles simultaneously. Each Glyph carried destructive potential that would collapse conventional defenses through overwhelming application of Life’s fundamental principles, and they moved with speed that made tracking their individual trajectories nearly impossible.

Vel’tharion responded by releasing his obsidian spears in counter-barrage that met her assault with equal intensity.

The weapons he’d crafted from deathly light sought to pierce through her Minor Glyphs and continue toward her physical form, and where Life and Death collided, reality itself seemed to scream at the fundamental incompatibility.

CRACK!

The first exchange destroyed several of Mycelle’s Minor Glyphs while shattering an equal number of Vel’tharion’s spears, and the released energy from their mutual annihilation scorched the hall’s crystallized walls!

The gathered Living Lives scrambled backward to avoid being caught in the crossfire, several manifesting their own defensive authorities to shield against the ambient destruction.

Mycelle pressed her advantage with aggressive assault that demonstrated extensive combat experience. She didn’t simply launch her Minor Glyphs in straight trajectories!

She coordinated their movements to create overlapping fields of fire that would force Vel’tharion into positions where he’d be vulnerable regardless of which direction he dodged. Her hands moved with practiced precision as she directed the Glyphs like extensions of her own body, each gesture corresponding to coordinated maneuver by multiple symbols simultaneously.

Vel’tharion met her aggression with equal ferocity, his obsidian spears multiplying as he poured more power into their creation. He didn’t defend passively but launched counter-attacks that sought to overwhelm her defensive formations through sheer volume of weaponized death, and where his spears penetrated her protective layers, they left trails of corruption that ate at the ambient Life like acid.

Blood began to flow from both combatants as attacks found their marks.

Mycelle took a glancing hit from one obsidian spear that tore through her shoulder, and the wound actively rotted as necrocratic principles attacked her cellular structure!

Her face twisted in pain that went beyond physical damage, clearly experiencing something that affected her fundamental existence rather than just her physical form.

But she didn’t slow down. Her Minor Glyphs of Life surged forward in renewed assault that forced Vel’tharion into desperate defensive maneuvers, and the wound on her shoulder began healing almost immediately as concentrated vitality flooded the damaged tissue and expelled the invading corruption.

Vel’tharion wasn’t as fortunate when Mycelle’s coordinated strike breached his defenses. Three Minor Glyphs struck him simultaneously from different angles, and the verdant light burned through his obsidian armor like white-hot metal through ice.

He screamed as Life’s authority attacked his death-aligned existence, causing agony that transcended simple pain to touch upon existential violation!

OOOH!

The battle intensified as both combatants abandoned defensive caution in favor of overwhelming offense.

Mycelle roared with a voice that carried centuries of accumulated conviction as she manifested even more Minor Glyphs, surrounding herself with protective barrier that also served as launching platform for continuous assault.

Her entire form blazed with verdant-gold radiance that made her appear like celestial warrior descended from higher realms to deliver judgment against cosmic corruption!

Vel’tharion responded by condensing his obsidian spears into fewer but more potent weapons, each one carrying concentrated death that would collapse even powerful beings’ existences if they connected with vulnerable targets.

He moved with desperate speed that suggested he recognized he was losing this exchange despite his considerable power, and his attacks carried edge of terminal ferocity that came from knowing defeat meant permanent ending.

CRACK!

One of his concentrated spears broke through Mycelle’s defensive formation and struck her left hand with force that didn’t simply damage but severed.

The entire appendage was torn from her arm by deathly energy that negated the cellular bonds holding it together, and it dissolved into corrupted fragments before hitting the ground.

But even as the wound appeared, concentrated Life flooded the stump and began reconstructing what had been lost. Flesh regrew, bone reformed, and within moments her hand had been restored to perfect condition as if the injury had never occurred.

The display of regenerative capability was staggering!

Her power began to dominate as Vel’tharion’s resources depleted faster than he could replenish them. She pressed forward with relentless assault that gave him no opportunity to recover or reposition, her Minor Glyphs moving with coordinated precision that demonstrated why she held position as Sanctuary Overseer.

Each attack built on previous strikes, creating cumulative damage that even his considerable regeneration couldn’t fully address.

She began to skewer the figure of Vel’tharion with concentrated spears of verdant light that she crafted from her Minor Glyphs!

The weapons pierced through his physical form and attacked his fundamental existence, tearing him apart limb from limb even as deathly energies wrapped around damaged tissue attempting to heal the injuries. She continued to dominate him with methodical brutality that stated she was making example rather than simply eliminating threat, demonstrating what happened to traitors who violated the Civilization’s trust!

Every part of his limbs and body became shattered and broken under her relentless assault. His obsidian wings were torn from his back, his arms were severed at multiple points, his legs were crushed until bone fragments protruded through corrupted flesh.

The deathly energies that should have preserved him against such damage were overwhelmed by concentrated Life being applied with surgical precision to cause maximum suffering.

Eventually, Vel’tharion collapsed onto the broken floor of the castle, breathing heavily as his shattered form struggled to maintain coherence.

The obsidian radiance that had blazed so confidently minutes before had dimmed to barely perceptible flicker, and his eyes had lost their earlier contemptuous certainty.

Mycelle floated over his broken body with an expression of grim determination. She formed a verdant spear of pure Life using her remaining Minor Glyphs, condensing their combined power into single weapon that radiated authority sufficient to permanently end even powerful existences. The spear pulsed with rhythmic light that seemed synchronized with the fundamental heartbeat of reality itself.

She raised the weapon and drove it downward through Vel’tharion’s chest with force that pinned him to the crystallized floor beneath. The spear pierced through his physical form and continued deeper, attacking the core of his existence where his consciousness and fundamental nature resided.

Vel’tharion screamed as Life’s purifying authority burned through everything that made him what he was. His entire existence became consumed under the allure of vitality being weaponized against death-aligned being, and Achilles observed with analytical fascination as brilliance of pure existence emerged from the collapsing form.

The energy that had comprised Vel’tharion’s fundamental being, released from the death principles that had shaped it, flowed upward toward Mycelle like stream returning to its source. Her entire existence felt stronger thereafter as she absorbed the purified essence, converting what had been enemy into fuel for her own advancement.

Achilles’s eyes flashed with brilliant light as he observed this phenomenon and processed its implications for understanding how these cosmic forces actually functioned.

He looked at the victorious figure of Mycelle standing over the dissolved remnants of her former colleague, and he began to clap with slow, measured rhythm that drew everyone’s attention back to him.

“This is the fate of every single entity that opposes the Way of Life,” he said, his voice carrying across the damaged hall with absolute certainty. “Complete erasure followed by reclamation of their stolen existence, their corruption purified and their essence devoured.”

He paused, allowing his words to settle before delivering statement that made every gathered Member tense with renewed concern.

“So for the second Living Necrocracy that is hidden inside this damaged hall…” His smile widened slightly as he watched them carefully. “Before I point you out, will you proceed to give me any viable information that might earn you merciful ending? Or will you die a dog’s death just like Vel’tharion, broken before being erased from existence entirely? If you information is good enough, I will even let you leave here alive as I dont really care much for you. I swear this…on my very Life.”

…!

WAA!

His words caused the entities gathered to look at each other with solemnity, each one examining their neighbors with renewed suspicion while simultaneously wondering if they themselves might be the target of his next accusation!
