I Can Assimilate Everything - Chapter 548
Chapter 548: Noble! II
Achilles rose into the air, and the regality he emanated was blinding in its intensity as authority radiated from his form in waves that made the surrounding temple seem dim by comparison.
Right now, a regal emperor’s verdant robe of life was wrapping around his stellar form as it wove itself from the ambient authority he had claimedm…reality itself acknowledging his elevated status by manifesting appropriate vestments without requiring conscious direction.
Above his head, a floating radiant verdant crown spun slowly in perfect circles, and verdant-gold leaves and flowers of light rotated around it gloriously while creating a halo of absolute sovereignty that marked him as something other than what conventional Living Lives could achieve.
Mycelle looked into his eyes, and she felt her existence go rigid with shock.
Those eyes… they felt like the eyes of an Emperor of Life, and even the Champions of Life in the Holy Lands…beings she had served alongside and learned from during her advancement through the Civilization’s ranks, did not make her feel this way.
They commanded respect through demonstrated capability and accumulated authority, but he commanded submission through fundamental superiority that operated at levels where conscious resistance became conceptually impossible!
He floated down until he was level with her physically, though spiritually he towered miles above her in ways that had nothing to do with spatial positioning.
“Mycelle,” he called out, and his voice carried a resonance that vibrated in her bones and made her cellular structure respond with instinctive recognition of authority that exceeded her own.
She stumbled despite her usual devilish confidence, and the playful demeanor she typically maintained shattered entirely under the weight of what she was experiencing.
“Yes…?”
He looked at her calmly with an expression that was unreadable, noble, distant…as if he existed in different category of being than she did and was graciously lowering himself to interact with someone so far beneath his station.
“If I called upon you to serve, would you serve?”
…!
Would she serve?
She was Mycelle…an Overseer of a Sanctuary of Life, a powerful member of The Primordial Civilization who had achieved status that placed her among the administrative elite.
Someone of her power and stature hearing this question from a newcomer who had just completed his initiation should grow furious at the presumption, should laugh in his face and crush him for his arrogance in suggesting that someone of her elevated position would subordinate herself to a being who had literally just joined their organization.
And yet…
When Mycelle heard such words from him, when she felt his aura washing over her existence and pressing against her consciousness with irresistible force…
It felt like his words were inviolable, like they carried the weight of cosmic law rather than simple question. It felt like the natural order of things was asserting itself, and he was so far above her in standing within their Civilization…possessed such overwhelming superiority in the hierarchy that naturally… she would listen.
She would serve someone as noble as him because that was the correct relationship between beings of such drastically different stations!
Her very Existence and life-force seemed to tell her this truth, and her cells were screaming at her that this was the proper order of things while resistance would be violation of fundamental principles. She could not fight it…her being would not permit such transgression!
Her mind rectified the dissonance instantly as the doubt and confusion vanished, replaced by clarity about her proper role in relation to this elevated being.
In the next moment, her gaze shifted to one of total subservience that carried none of her previous confidence or devilish amusement.
She lowered herself before him, and the Overseer…who commanded tens of thousands of Living Lives within her Sanctuary, whose authority was absolute over everything occurring within her domain, knelt down on one knee while bowing her head before the floating figure of Achilles.
“For you, sir, I would serve with all my life.”
…!
BOOM!
The statement was shocking even to her own awareness, and Mycelle herself couldn’t believe she said it as the words left her mouth before she had consciously formed them or decided that such declaration was appropriate.
But the moment she spoke them aloud, her existence felt extremely at peace.
She looked up with her eyes filled with awe and curiosity about what could possibly have occurred during his initiation to produce such transformation.
“Just what did you gain from the Ritual?” Her voice carried genuine wonder mixed with confusion about mechanisms she thought she understood. “What were you blessed with by THE Slumbering Genesis?”
Achilles looked down at her with his expression remaining impassive and regal.
“I was blessed with the immensity and responsibility of… a Noble Living Life.”
His voice took on solemn weight that he was sharing information about burden rather than achievement, and every word carried implications about duty and obligation!
“I was tasked… with the unbearably heavy responsibility to lead The Primordial Civilization of Life.” He paused, allowing the declaration to settle before continuing with even greater gravity. “To cleanse it from within, to restore us to glory that we knew before the Age of Collapse destroyed our proper order.”
His eyes blazed with light that suggested absolute conviction.
“Will you be my general in this task?”
…!
Mycelle knelt even lower, and her voice when she spoke carried fervor!
“I will serve with all my life to the Noble Living Life, The Noble Adrastia!”
…!
—
Achilles looked at the kneeling Mycelle with a sense of silent shock hidden behind his glowing eyes and impassive expression, and his thoughts raced with calculations about what this moment represented
He had just fed her some absolute bullshit…invented a mandate he didn’t possess, claiming responsibility to lead a Civilization he had literally just infiltrated.
And she had knelt without hesitation or doubt.
Just from the mere aura of a Noble Living Life and the authority that came with that distinction, she had submitted completely despite being an Overseer who commanded significant forces and possessed power that exceeded most beings within this Sanctuary.
He hadn’t even consciously activated the Absolute Existential Authority of Living Lifeform Dominion…this was purely passive effect of his elevated status within their hierarchy!
