Chapter 547: Noble! I
Rulers.

History was littered with them…beings who rose to positions of absolute authority and wielded power over empires that spanned Star Seas.

Some rulers arose within long-standing empires that had been pillars for eons, stable structures that had weathered countless threats and persisted through cosmic cycles that had destroyed lesser organizations.

Yet somehow, impossibly, their rule just so happened to cause everything to crumble, and empires that should have lasted eternities fractured under leadership that made catastrophic decisions or possessed fatal character flaws that spread like rot through administrative hierarchies.

And then there were rulers who rose inside empires that were already fractured, filled with disunity and internal conflicts that suggested imminent collapse was inevitable.

They inherited ashes rather than glory, took command of forces that had forgotten how to cooperate, assumed responsibility for territories that enemies were actively carving into smaller pieces.

Yet with all the odds stacked against them, with every strategic calculation suggesting their cause was hopeless, they somehow rose to form new empires exceeding anything that had been forged before, and history remembered them as the greatest leaders their civilizations had ever produced.

But… who knew which type of ruler would arise at any point in time?

The qualities that distinguished catastrophic leadership from transformative genius were difficult to predict in advance, and beings who seemed promising often proved disastrous while those who appeared unremarkable sometimes achieved the impossible.

Potential was meaningless until actualized through action, and action only revealed its consequences through time’s patient unfoldment.

—

In the unique domain within the Life Pool.

Achilles had done the unthinkable, and he had shockingly assimilated The Noble Idol of THE Slumbering Genesis in a place where he should have been receiving standard inheritance of The Primordial Civilization of Life.

Instead of bowing to the test, he had consumed the tester, and instead of accepting the inheritance on its established terms, he had violated sacred protocol to claim authority that was never meant to be seized through force.

And because of this, he gained multiple astounding things.

One was… the Seed of The Principle of Noble Life, and at the very center of his existence…deeper than his heart, more fundamental than his consciousness, a dazzling verdant seed bloomed into manifestation.

It didn’t feel like a mere organ or a core of accumulated energy, but rather like something deeply connected to the fundamental architecture of Existence itself, and it pulsed with a rhythm that suggested it could tremendously alter the very code of reality, rewriting the definition of what it meant to be alive at the most basic metaphysical level.

But that was not all he had obtained through his transgression.

The other thing he gained was the distinction of a Noble Living Lifeform and the terrifying authority of Absolute Existential Authority of Living Lifeform Dominion, and both carried implications that transcended simple power increases or capability enhancements.

HUUM!

He could feel something heavy settling onto his soul with the distinction of Noble Living Life, and it wasn’t a burden but rather gravitas…the weight of cosmic significance that came with elevated status within hierarchies that governed entire Civilizations.

He felt his very bones begin to change as the marrow within them started producing primordial cells of life that burned not just with vitality but with a sense of royalty and regality.

His blood no longer just flowed through conventional circulatory systems, it reigned through vessels that had become conduits for authority rather than simple biological fluids.

Royal. Noble.

And when it came to the Absolute Existential Authority of Living Lifeform Dominion…

He didn’t need to test it to know what it meant, and he very likely had a form of terrifying control or rulership that he could now impose on any being that fell under the classification of a Living Lifeform.

The authority wasn’t merely suggestion or influence but something closer to cosmic law…reality itself would enforce his commands over those his elevated status gave him dominion over.

There were so many terrifying boons flooding his system that he was having a hard time processing everything, and the prompts that had detailed his gains continued updating as new capabilities emerged from the authority he’d consumed.

The massive elephantine statue, the monument to THE Slumbering Genesis that had stood in eternal meditation, fully cracked and crumbled around him. The ancient temple with its impossible pillars and living floor, the very ground of that unique domain that had existed since before recorded history… it didn’t fade away peacefully or dissolve back into ambient authority.

It was swallowed completely.

Everything in that domain was sucked into his existence as fuel for his ascension, and the concentrated authority that had maintained this inheritance space for eons became raw material that his Assimilation converted into personal power.

In the next moment… he felt like waking up.

—

In the Sacred Temple of Life.

Mycelle stood by the edge of the basin with her expression frozen in a mask of disbelief, and she looked into the Life Pool with a sense of shock as she felt an extremely pure aura of life leaking from its depths. It was an aura she had only felt from the Champions of Life whenever Overseers reported to the Holy Lands of Life…the central headquarters where the Civilization’s most elevated members resided and conducted the strategic planning that shaped their resistance against Necrocracy’s dominance.

And even then… the aura she felt from the being in that Life Pool felt even grander than what Champions emanated!

Cleaner. More authoritative. More… right, as if this was what life was supposed to feel like when refined to its purest possible expression.

“What is this?” she whispered to the silent temple, her voice carrying confusion.

As she asked herself this question, the answer rose to meet her with dramatic inevitability.

In the next moment, she saw the entire Life Pool become drained instantly, and the liquid authority that had filled the basin, a concentrated power that represented centuries of accumulated resources…vanished as it was absorbed into a single point.

From that empty basin where nothing remained except crystalline walls that had contained unfathomable wealth, the figure of Achilles floated upward with glorious majesty that made her breath catch in her throat.

WAA!

Mycelle trembled despite her considerable power and elevated status within the Civilization’s hierarchy, and she felt an intense aura spread from him…a wave of pressure that didn’t crush her body or attack her existence but rather weighed upon her very soul.

It caused her being to feel as if she was staring at something sacred, something that demanded reverence by its mere presence regardless of conscious choice or rational assessment!
