Chapter 301: The Sunken City of Aerilon [FIXED!]
Kyle knew this was an opportunity he needed to pounce on right away because he was certain he wasn’t the only one who saw the potential.

There was something about this that Kyle wanted to see, but the good thing about getting the movie was that he could hire any actor he wanted.

He could meet their price tag, but this was a great opportunity to showcase the talents of his Agency.

He didn’t want to take away the attention from Calista because then, she would be overshadowed by whatever big name might appear.

She had to be a star; this was the only way this would work because there would be nothing stopping her from reaching the potential he knew she could reach.

Kyle had already set up a meeting with them, and he could tell they were eager to make a good impression.

Kyle set up the meeting in his club; it was an ideal location because it would also give them an estimate of his wealth.

Kyle didn’t come to play, and despite his life being targeted, he knew this shouldn’t stop him from handling his business.

Kyle knew he had to hire security, but something told him there was little security could do if they truly wanted him dead.

Sure, it would increase attacks from normal people, but trained killers? That was unlikely.

All they needed was a clean shot, and Kyle would be dead.

Kyle waited for them, making sure they arrived, but he noticed they weren’t associated with any company, or at least it wasn’t stated.

However, it said nothing about them needing funding; all they needed was a collaboration, but what that collaboration was was unknown.

They arrived at the club, and Kyle saw two confused people.

A woman with a beanie and a man walked in, they looked out of place, and Kyle could tell with a single glance that they were nervous.

He smiled because this was to be expected; he wasn’t some scrub anymore but the kind of man people could only wish to meet in this lifetime.

He had the money and youth to enjoy it, but Kyle wasn’t going to let them be lost forever, which was why he waved them down.

The man was the first to see him and quickly nudged the woman beside him before they both hurried to him.

“Good afternoon, sir!” The man said, with the woman taken aback momentarily by how glorious Kyle looked, but the nudge from the man standing beside her brought her back to her senses.

“Please, call me Kyle. You may both sit,” Kyle spoke with such confidence, and they both sat across him.

This place wasn’t over the top, but it was fancy nonetheless, and they were surprised Kyle wanted to meet here.

The people they dealt with tended to meet in coffee shops or places that were cheaper on paper, so this was a step up in this regard.

“I’m Aiden, and this here is my sister, Abigail,” Aiden introduced himself and his sister.

Kyle could tell they shared similar features, maybe a little too similar and Kyle could instantly discern they were twins.

There was no doubt about it, and this was beside the point. Abigail quickly got over her distraction because she knew this was very important.

“You’re a representative from the JPD, right?” Aiden said, and Kyle thought about it for a second whether he should reveal his role to these people.

However, on second thought, he decided against it and went with a lie.

“That is correct, and I have come to discuss acquiring The Sunken City of Aerilon,” Kyle told her, and the twins paused right away.

They couldn’t understand what they were hearing because this wasn’t what they wanted.

“What do you mean to acquire?” Aiden asked, and Kyle noticed he was the mouthpiece between the two and knew he had to convince this man, as opposed to his sister.

“We want to acquire all rights,” Kyle said right away, even though he knew this would come with a price.

Everyone had a price, but Aiden’s face suggested this wasn’t part of the plan.

“I think there has been a misunderstanding. I’m flattered you wish to acquire our work, but we are here to request funding,” Aiden spoke.

“Ah, I see, I apologise. You will be acknowledged as the creators, and while we will be acquiring all rights, an instalment of 25% monthly from the movie would be paid into your respective bank accounts,” Kyle said, and this sounded too good to be true.

The twins were skeptical because if Kyle was willing to cover 100% of production cost and still pay them a monthly royalty of 25%? That was impressive.

“Oh, I forgot to mention… The 25% percent isn’t for you both to share. You will both get 25% separately,” Kyle added and the fact that 25% jointly was already a good deal.

This was overkill, and there was no way they would say no, but Kyle was overloading them with the good news.

He didn’t pause because he didn’t want to give them time to digest what he had said.

“We also want you to work closely with our production team, who would be handling this project, so you can truly bring the project to life. I do not want to digress from your vision,” Kyle added.

They were speechless. They came here to ask for a budget, but Kyle had made them an offer that had the potential to set them up for life.

He knew these two were the creators of this movie as well, so he didn’t need to worry about third parties.

“Give us a moment to think about this,” Abigail said, the first time she had spoken since they began the negotiation.

Kyle knew this might be a tactic to not make them seem desperate, but he didn’t mind it.

“Sure thing, take as much time as you need, but I have to maintain that your offer isn’t the only one we are considering,” Kyle added, and he could see Aiden panic just for a second.

This was their big chance, but Abigail seemed to have other plans.

They excused themselves and spoke a few meters away from Kyle. Kyle knew they had no reason to reject the offer because the most important thing for all creatives was having their signature on their work.

This was what Kyle offered them, and if the movie does flop, it would have no financial repercussions on them.

Aiden and Abigail were aware of this, but what if it was the next big thing?

There was no telling what could potentially happen if that became the case because then, 25% wouldn’t be fair or at least that was what Abigail thought.

But this greed was the exact reason why Aiden decided to take the helm.

They returned to the table, and Kyle watched them closely. He could tell one was satisfied with the deal, but the other wasn’t.

Kyle knew it was important to keep all parties happy, and he had enough money to satisfy their greed.

“We have a clause, should the movie break $250,000,000, we will add a 5% increase in the royalty annually,” Kyle said, and Abigail immediately nudged Aiden to accept the offer right away.

The way her eyes lit up, she was satisfied with this offer because, in the end, money was money.

“We agree to your terms!” Aiden said, and they shook on it. Kyle was impressed they held out for as much money as they could.

“I’m glad to hear that,” Kyle responded with a smile, but he knew this might not be where their relationship ended.

If he could retain them as writers or secure future rights to their ideas, it would give him an edge, but all of that was pending how well this movie did.

They were done, and now it was time for pleasantries. Kyle gestured for Nate to do what they had prepared with a single gesture.

In came food from the other room, the most expensive delicacies known to man, with drinks that could easily pay a few months of rent.

“W-Woah!” Aiden blurted out, Kyle, could see them panicking like it was coming out of their pocket, but he would never do something like this.

“It is on me, eat your fill…” Kyle encouraged them before standing up to allow them to truly enjoy themselves.

“You can have anything you want if you aren’t satisfied. At JPD, we take care of our partners,” Kyle said before leaving the building.

The fact that they thought he was a representative and not the owner made this interaction all the more genuine.

Kyle wondered if things would have been different if they had found out who he was, but either way, he had accomplished what he came here for at the end of the day.

This was a resounding success, but there was one more thing he needed to put together, which was the ability to make movies.

Kyle knew this would be expensive, but it wouldn’t be an impossible task.
