Chapter 298: The Family You Choose.
Ella returned to her room, and her heart was thumping; she couldn’t believe what had happened.

The fact that Kyle didn’t screw her brains out was proof he meant what he said about using her to jerk off.

He had shown her he meant it literally, and this made Ella question her decision to even get into his bed in the first place.

It was a silly prank that turned into what had her in this state, but she could still feel his throbbing cock rubbing between her thighs.

It was pulsating like it was about to explode, and it did just that. Ella wondered if Kyle was backed up with the amount he released.

“Fucking hell!” Ella muttered under her breath as she lay in bed, unable to fall asleep because the event kept playing in her head.

Ella found her hands retracing the parts of her body he had touched. She knew if she wanted to, she could walk right into his room and shove the entire thing inside her.

Ella wasn’t opposed to the idea because she didn’t find him attractive, but because she wanted to be sure this was something she wanted.

If Kyle was a man who didn’t like sharing, then it meant she would be committed to him.

But one thing had been established tonight: Ella was certain she wouldn’t be able to say no to Kyle should he walk through that door and demand she spread her legs for him.

This was the weakness of the human flesh, and Ella was a slave to it.

She had been so busy with her career that she almost forgot what the touch of a man could do to a woman once mutual attraction was established.

Ella’s hand found itself between her legs, but she tried not to make Kyle the object of her lust; however, she was still soaked.

Ella ran her fingers along her slit, slowly and gently, pretending it was Kyle who was doing so with his cock.

“Mmmhh…” Ella was trying her best to control her voice, but it slipped through.

She couldn’t help it; her body needed it because this was lust in its purest form.

She clasped her thighs shut while her finger was inside, but Ella added another finger inside.

“I-I’m going to…!” Ella muttered under her breath.

Ella came, and her mind went blank as she salivated like she had gotten something her entire body needed to survive at that moment.

Ella’s breathing became heavy; she had just been thinking about Kyle.

The sheer wrongness of this hit her, but it had been established that this was a polygamous relationship.

This was the thread that blurred her judgment, the excuse she told herself to make it all right.

–

The day came to an end, and the sun rose in the distance, but Kyle woke up first. However, he didn’t see Ella in the house.

She must have gone to work, but there was no sign she had attempted to cook.

“Hm…” Kyle knew right away that this disappearance had something to do with last night, but Kyle was a man who didn’t get flustered by things like this, and Aiysha was proof of this.

If anything, this was proof he was in control and reminded Ella that at the end of the day, she was a woman who was yet to conquer his desire.

Kyle knew he had to make use of the system right from the start, but every woman who played a role in his evolution, he treated right.

Kyle believed every act was ultimately a selfish one; there was no such thing as a selfless act.

You aren’t happy with the world as it is, so you try to change it, but ultimately, that change comes because it makes the person unhappy.

One worries about the well-being of friends and checks in on them; ultimately, that act was because the person was worried.

It all stemmed to benefit the initiator in one way or another because it gives them peace of mind or a sense of usefulness at the end of the day.

Kyle didn’t feel guilty for his acts because he understood this from an early age, but this didn’t mean one should be cruel.

Kyle wasn’t a cruel person despite his past. He grew up dysfunctional, but there was a hint of goodness in him.

He had money, and there were a lot of bad things he could have done with it, but Kyle had not abused the power that came with wealth.

He helped Jones with his financial struggle. It would have been easy to give him a handout and have Jones return it when it dried out.

This was how he could keep his hold over him, but Kyle gave him a way to be financially free regardless of how their relationship turned out in the future.

This act might be rooted in a beneficial relationship, but it showed that despite Kyle using these people to double his wealth,

he didn’t leave them stranded. After all, Ella benefited directly from his relationship with Jane.

She had a music career, and this helped her fight the addiction she struggled with.

The Mafia—or rather, the underworld—he had dipped his toes in.

Kyle had the opportunity to spread the drugs and cement his influence in this world.

But Kyle didn’t, because he knew what drugs could do to a person firsthand, and this was something he didn’t wish on anyone.

This was why he was planning to stop them himself, even though the enemy he was about to face was unlike anything he had ever faced before.

Selfishness doesn’t negate a good act, because that act ultimately changes lives regardless of the motives.

Kyle checked his phone and saw Jane had sent him a picture of Cassandra, both making silly faces.

He knew they would get along because Cassandra had no ego, and she was mature enough to know this had to work for her sake.

It might have started transactional, but in the end, Cassandra caught feelings.

She couldn’t be blamed for this because it was a natural response with anyone.

If all of your needs are being met, then there is no reason for your heart not to appreciate this gesture, especially when the person is not only attractive but miles out of your league.

Kyle took a selfie and made an even sillier face before sending one right back.

Kyle paid off the woman who claimed to be his sister, never to see her again.

However, he couldn’t help but question how they were doing.

These were fleeting thoughts and nothing more. He had the resources to know where they were, but had no interest in doing so.

He had created the family he wanted—a family that wouldn’t leave or abandon him.

He got another text from Jane, and the smile already sitting on his face showed how much he enjoyed these moments.

It was a short video of all of them laughing, Jasmine included, and this made Kyle laugh in response.

He didn’t need to act, he didn’t need to pretend—everything was natural, and Kyle could tell at this moment, this was what he wanted.

–

Ella had left the place in a hurry, mostly because she was too embarrassed to look at Kyle in the morning after what had happened between them, which was understandable.

She knew moving in was a mistake, but if it was for her protection, as he said, then it was something she couldn’t help. But once again, this was an excuse.

Ella didn’t think much about any of this at first, but now all she could think about was last night.

She was meeting up with her band, but they were late for some reason. Ella knew the money they had gotten was good enough to sort out some serious bills.

However, Ella noticed they were becoming a lot more undisciplined. But if this was their affliction at this level,

what would they do when they rose to actual fame? Ella knew she needed a serious band that would turn up whenever a practice session was held.

However, she also understood that they all had different priorities. The only difference between them and her was that she had no social life to retreat to.

This made music her sole focus, and Ella believed you needed this level of obsession to make it big, even with Kyle’s help.

Kyle could offer her the platform, but it was her music that would decide if she captured the heart of the fans or not.

Ella sighed because she knew if things continued this way, she had to find new people on the same wavelength as her.

But the voice in the back of her head understood the realities of the average person because she had lived her life as such.

Not everyone had a fortune to return to if things didn’t work out; this was her reality as well until recently.

Ella’s phone buzzed to snap her back, and she hoped it was from her bandmates informing her they were on their way, but it was a message from Kyle.

Ella didn’t know how or why, but her heart stopped for an entire second.
