Chapter 447: Chapter 447: New Bloodline [2]
Chapter 447 – New Bloodline [2]

‘Have you lost your mind?’ Gaia bellowed inside Noah’s head.

He winced at the loud sound of her voice, making Maryam check on him to see if he was okay. Noah smiled and hugged her back.

Peacefully, Maryam returned to his embrace, a smile plastered on her face. She was living the perfect dream.

Next, Noah sighed and focused back on the link he had with Gaia, ‘Did you forget? You told me something along the line: the best of plans are those hidden within others’ plans.’

Gaia listened, nodding even though Noah couldn’t see her. But she could make him know whatever she did.

Noah continued smoothly.

‘The Son of Emptiness wanted to manipulate me for his own benefit. He wanted to use me without my consent.’

‘And don’t you know?’ His voice became edged with coldness. ‘If you stare at the abyss long enough, the abyss would stare back at you.’

‘In the same way, you must be ready to be used if you use someone.’

‘But He is not anyone.’ Gaia interjected matter-of-factly. ‘He is unpredictable and powerful. He is the one fighting against Those Beings since the beginning. You cannot yet understand, but what is inside you of his power is nothing much to him. At worst, he could regain it back after some eons.’

‘And to the spawn of Emptiness itself, time is meaningless.’

‘That’s why I need you.’ Noah countered. ‘I am not an idiot to openly oppose him. That would be gorydamn foolish. The proof? I still keep his power inside of me despite being able to discard it back then.’

‘You did it because you wanted his power.’ Gaia said.

‘That’s not the point here, mother.’ Noah slightly shook his head. ‘With your help, I will purify his power from his influence and take it for myself. You will use the souls as a glue, as refinement to keep everything together.’

‘After all, I knew from the knowledge I gained inside you…’

Here, Gaia unconsciously put her hand on her belly.

‘…that the Soul is the purest aspect of existence. It’s the most mystical and unique thing in what makes someone who he is.’

‘We will use these souls for our purpose.’

‘But why should I help you?’ Her voice was bitter. ‘You are trying to change my bloodline. First you obtained it without my consent, now you are discarding it as if it’s nothing but garbage.’

Anger was bubbling deep inside Gaia’s voice, hot and scalding like lava. Anger and injustice.

She balled her fists, her palms went red in restrained rage.

The Will Eternal didn’t remember the last time she was this angry. Or simply, the last time her emotions were this volatile.

But Noah, Raj Progenar Gaia, had this unique power to draw out of her the worst of her.

But also, ironically, the best of her.

And she loathed herself for that.

‘I am sorry.’ Noah said. ‘But the event is one you caused, mother. You gave me no choice, and here I am, born on my own terms, but it would have been impossible without you.’

‘Let’s not dwell on the past.’

Gaia bit her lips. Again, she rubbed her stomach gently. The pain of childbirth flashed momentarily inside her mind.

She silently cursed, feeling indignation inside her chest.

‘I will help you.’ She decided. ‘But never call me mother again.’

‘If I succeed,’ Noah began, ‘my bloodline would be elevated. And one day…’

He smiled.

‘One day you will bear the same bloodline as me.’

Gaia immediately understood his words.

‘You are greedy.’ She spat, yet her voice had somehow eased.

‘You are not saying no.’

‘Let’s begin.’ Gaia changed the subject smoothly.

Noah didn’t linger, and used his system to claim all the souls of his mother.

Maryam began to feel something. She broke her hug and watched her son, seeing with her bare eyes the quadrillions of her souls flooding the entire space.

It looked like a pale sea.

In her surprised eyes, Maryam saw a drop of blood erupt from Noah. She felt the instinctive urge to bow down to that blood, as if she was facing the very beginning of existence, yet also the very end of it.

It was a paradox, and the First Soul felt a sense of dismay at the sight.

The blood didn’t have a fixed color. Or rather, Maryam was unable to see its colors, for it belonged to a plane of existence she hadn’t reached yet.

Still, that was not the end.

With Gaia’s protection — protection that was easier and stronger because of Noah being her son — Noah took out from his past system the very core of power belonging to the Son of Emptiness.

This time, what came out was…nothingness.

And this time, Maryam’s knees crashed onto the flowered ground loudly.

She made a face, feeling a strain on her existence.

Different from Gaia’s power, which was deliberately restrained for the sake of Maryam, the Son of Emptiness’s power did not have such considerations.

Maryam suffered from it, and Noah was trying his best not to follow. Though, with his birthright, he fared much better.

The Son of Emptiness’s power couldn’t be seen. It was not invisible per se, it was just detained inside the very concept of emptiness.

And it was that power that Gaia used, and mixed with Noah’s blood, added to that with Maryam’s souls.

During the process, Noah added a fragment of his own existence inside. The pain was apocalyptic, making him shriek in horrendous agony, his eyes bleeding, his lips cracking and peeling.

‘Raj! You damn idiot!’ Gaia bellowed, her voice thick with worry. The sight of her son hurting and bleeding was far more painful to her than she thought.

Her maternal aspect couldn’t bear such a sight.

‘J-Just do it!’ Noah groaned, feeling a part of him mixing with all those powers.

He made sure his existence injected itself deep into the Son’s power, infecting it and slowly turning it into something fully his.

Gaia understood his goal and shook her head. In her own realm, everyone was focused on her, themselves worried about their Prince.

The Will Eternal focused once more.

Noah was showing her the direction and how everything must be handled, like a maestro in an orchestra. Gaia followed his orders perfectly.

The process was wondrous. It was like alchemy being done, but on a scale never before seen.

Noah was transmuting one concept from another concept. Then that concept into an idea, before making that idea into a bloodline.

His face was soaked in beads of sweat and blood.

The space around them was shaking, fracturing, unable to bear the creation of such a bloodline.

Even Gaia was watching with awe. Her eyes widened, wondering in a haze why she had never thought of that.

That was how impossible it was.

But when you were born at the top of power of an entire reality, the hunger and the craving to reach higher stages would hardly gnaw at your soul.

Noah was not born atop reality. So he sought strength, and with luck and opportunities…

He arrived where he was.

And there, once again, he was creating something boundless.

He was birthing his own bloodline, and this one was better than the last, and better than anything this Reality had to offer.

Gaia smirked, baring her teeth in a wide grin as the process came to an end.

‘You are blasphemous, Raj.’

‘Aren’t you proud?’ Noah joked, his voice raspy and weak.

And there, everything halted as a drop of blood appeared in front of him.

Noah watched it for a brief moment, then the blood blurred, ripped through the air, and pierced into his body briskly.

His body jerked atrociously, his mouth cracked open, and a wrenching cry erupted from it as he fell to the ground.

The Prince curled upon himself in agony, his body transforming into a new form, his mind shutting down.

The last thing he saw through the tilting reality was Maryam running toward him, her expression worried.

And the last thing he heard was the voice of the Will Eternal, his own mother, whispering gently into his ears,

‘Yes, I am proud.’

DING!

<You have created a bloodline.>
