Chapter 416: Chapter 416: Chaos
Chapter 416 – Chaos

The atmosphere was tense as Asaemon provoked the Lords of Hell and their Progenitor without any hesitation.

They looked at him with strange eyes, noticing how all these eyes were different and were actually blinking at them as if alive.

It was strange. But it was not only strange. It was undeniable that each of them felt a serious threat coming from him. One where the probability of them dying was embarrassingly high.

Their eyes narrowed into monstrous slits, about to speak, only to be beaten by Asmodeus, The Progenitor.

“Did you just say brother of a Progenitor?” Asmodeus inquired, tilting his head, “So the Third Abomination was indeed the one who created a new faction.”

His words made the Lords of Hell finally register the most important information about the words Asaemon had uttered.

High above, one could hear the terrible battle raging, and each of them could feel their subordinates dying.

Courtisan Lust was the most worried, not wanting to lose her toys.

“Indeed,” Asaemon answered, “The Elysiari’s faction.”

“Let me take a wild guess then, old friend. The Bookworm also belongs to this new faction?”

Asaemon simply nodded with an insufferable grin.

All of them became a notch more serious. The three Abominations belonging to the same faction?

How was something like that happening and none of them knew?

Asmodeus was puzzled. But what puzzled him the most was, in fact, “How did he manage to convince you to accept? You two have been given any kind of offer to be part of a faction. I myself, Asaemon, promised to make you above anyone except me. But you always refused.”

Asmodeus narrowed his eyes, and that simple act made Hell quiver.

That showed that if he wanted to, he could stop the fight happening above with nothing but a thought. All of them knew, after all, Hell itself was his beast. But The Demonic Progenitor was one whose mind could never be guessed.

His actions were whimsical, but everyone knew that when he was serious, it would be wise to stop any kind of folly.

Asaemon noticed the seriousness of Asmodeus, and his irritation. Seemed like him refusing to be a demon but accepting to be an Elysiari touched him.

He smiled faintly. Now the atmosphere was more of them being curious than hostile. Everyone except Courtisan Lust, but none cared.

No one told her to give two Origins to some pitiful whores.

“Why did we accept to bind ourselves to a faction? Well, I reassure you, it’s not because of the simple fact he is an Abomination. But simply because of who he is.”

Asmodeus arched an eyebrow.

“If you are willing to have a peaceful conversation about the youngest then I am more than pleased. You should take this offer seriously, for you will surely be the first to know him more.” Asaemon was weirdly serious.

And to the demons who knew him well, it was a huge deal.

So facing that proposal, curiosity began to gnaw at every demonic heart. They eventually accepted, each of them having their own thoughts and plans about this new vital information.

Asaemon could see it, but didn’t mind. Noah planned to make all factions and races bow under him.

So Asaemon would try to make these demons willingly accept. They were demons, they were creatures of overwhelming desire.

One simply needed to give them what they wanted. And Noah proved himself capable of giving one’s greatest desire.

So he smiled,

“His name is Noah Vaelgrim…”

Asaemon began to give a biography of Noah with the Lords of Hell and The Progenitor as listeners.

It was something one would hardly believe, especially if one part of Hell was being attacked.

But what were demons except beings with chaotic alignment?

They were nothing like humans.

So none of human beliefs and expectations should be used to guess their actions.

And that made one wonder…

…what would they do after learning about Noah?

Already, there was one who was drooling by imagining Noah’s beauty.

Another who envied his beauty.

Another who felt his pride challenged.

Another who realized his greed was pitiful in face of Noah.

Another who felt he was not devouring enough.

Another who was irritated, feeling her sleep about to be disturbed.

Another who felt provoked by Noah’s greatness.

Each of them began to hold their own mental image of who Noah was.

And something began to bloom inside them with that knowledge.

Good? Bad?

One truly could only wonder.

…

If Apollonia and Yuki were going against whorish demons, with Asaemon acting like a history teacher with beings atop the universe…

…another rather interesting duo was standing in the middle of a battlefield, acting like a cat and a dog unable to bear the sight of the other.

That was not a metaphor.

Neko and Lea were glaring at each other, in their beast forms, each of them wondering why Noah put them together.

In fact, Noah only found it funny. There was no reason. But he also hoped that with this time together they would be more tolerant of each other.

Well, quite an optimistic person he was.

“I never had the opportunity, so I will do it now.” Neko said while looking at Lea, “I am the first beast of Noah!”

Lea looked at her and snorted, “First doesn’t equal favorite.”

Neko’s lips twitched. She opened her lips to talk only to close it back because of the sudden battle happening around.

Blood began to smear the sky and rain down on them, with the fleshes of the fallen added in the midst.

Instantly, piercing screams of both pain and anger began to echo all around.

Neko and Lea stopped their querelles and watched the scene. There were three sides fighting a deadly battle, all of them with their eyes red with bloodlust, doing their very best to kill one another.

The three sides were: grey-skinned beings with deer-like antlers in the place of their eyes, nimble and fast; the second was like humans except they had a third eye on their forehead; the third one was a bunch of insects, most probably a Hive.

It was truly a chaotic battle.

Hell, some of them even killed their own comrades, making it a scene that absolutely made no sense for the two Elysiari sisters.

That is, if they didn’t know that this was the work of the Origin of War.

The Origin of War was said to be in the possession of a being hidden inside this world, who had the habit of using worlds like experiments to improve his or her control over War.

“I will let you find our target.” Neko said to Lea.

The latter raised an eyebrow, “Why?”

Neko spared her a glance reserved for fools, “Maybe because you are a dog, dog? So go sniff around and find the target.”

Lea’s lips twitched. She wanted to say something in her defense. But honestly…

‘That’s actually a fair point.’ She reluctantly acknowledged inwardly before focusing.

Her concept was Obedience. A pitiful and shameful concept if one looked at the other concepts of her sisters.

But Lea never minded.

This concept of hers made her one who obeyed without thought. In fact, in her mind, she was more like a slave than Lilith and Dominique.

But she willingly gave her whole being to Noah, making him the one whose every word was something Lea would do anything to obey.

But if she was the slave of Noah…

Then anything else between heavens and Earth was her slave.

Because Lea Thorn Vaelgrim could make any concept obedient to her will, as long as her will was strong enough.

And after being tortured by Noah, killing her own husband for Noah, and still surviving with nothing but an unhealthy obsession for her torturer…

Lea smiled,

“Obedience Law…”

The world hummed with invisible power.

Lea’s Will was not to be looked down upon.

“Target: Perception Concept.”

She imposed her Will to make the very concept of perception inside that warring world obey her.

Invisible chains began to burst from her chest then entered deep inside the space of the world, making perception her own slave.

And soon it worked.

Thus,

Lea raised her glowing eyes with chains dancing in them, “Let’s go, I found the target.”

Neko nodded and followed her, “Good job.” She said with a low voice.

Lea grinned smugly, “Now you admit—!”

“Shut up, dog.”

Lea clicked her tongue.

‘What a rude cat.’
