Chapter 411: Chapter 411: Show the ring first
Chapter 411 – Show the ring first

Once more, time passed.

Inside the world of Laeh, three months had passed swiftly, and that… with none being the wiser.

It was three months of intense preparations, each of the Vaelgrim doing their best to be ready. Because of that, the atmosphere was so strange that even the folks of Laeh began to sense something amiss in the air.

They were not able to tell what the breathless feeling pulsing inside their throat was — the sensation of something heavy pressing down upon their mortal shoulders — but they felt the tension in the air.

The sky above Laeh during those past three months was too blinding. The suns and the moons were shining with such intensity it hurt to stare at them openly despite the obvious distances between heaven and earth. Not to forget the stars, now clearly visible in the dark night.

The gifted ones with perception were able to smell something going on. Something that had nothing to do with them, yet somehow had everything to do with them.

The battle of gods was only among gods. But the waves of repercussion of such events would inevitably sweep away the struggling mortals beneath them.

A bitter truth. Yet that was what made it even more truthful.

During these three months too, another bizarre event occurred all over the globe. One where some people claimed to be summoned into a dream-like world called Guent, where there were games and rewards for each win.

These claims were dismissed at first, people calling them delusional and a bunch of fools. But one being made all of them take this new phenomenon seriously.

It was a middle-aged mortal man at C rank, with a wife and a child to take care of. The man was poor, and he was a cripple, for his left leg had been severed during one of his duties.

A duty concerning guarding the gate of his city from beasts. The city being a weak one, none could help him regain his leg.

He was known in the city called Locktown, and he was certainly famous for refusing any kind of help others wanted to give him, with his famous words:

“I shall bear the burden of taking care of my family alone.”

A commendable character, but one that would kill his family of hunger one day.

That day never came.

After all, he had been chosen as a tester for the dream-world — Guent — created by the children of the Absolute Deity.

A chance was presented to him, and he used it well to increase not only his luck but also his destiny in a splendid manner.

So one day, in one of his numerous walks in the backroads of Locktown to search for some half-finished food for his family with his frail body and cane, he mysteriously found a healing potion at SSS rank among the trash.

A feeling of ecstasy surged through his body.

With that, his leg was healed, making him go back to his duty as city guard. Now, his family was eating a lot better.

God’s mercy, they called it.

People began to raise an eyebrow, but the man himself was striving harder in the dream realm, increasing his fate and destiny steadily.

He died multiple times in the process, causing his soul to weaken, but the man never gave up. He strived hard until his fate and destiny were high enough for him to completely change his life.

For one day, in his expedition to root out a beast settlement outside the city, he found himself alone in a mysterious dungeon filled with wolf statues.

He succeeded in his trials at a hair’s breadth, and inherited the wisp of bloodline of the Elysiari of End.

This was the birth of Lucan Wolfish Fenrir, the future undisputed 1st rank in Guent, and the first devout follower of Premier Vaelgrim.

He was the first, but soon many people emerged.

But just as many emerged, many also died in the process, their souls unable to bear the burden of dying repeatedly.

None batted an eye. For all of them knew that nothing could be gained without sacrificing something in return.

Now Laeh was becoming a more complete world day by day, and now on that shiny day… the Vaelgrim were ready to depart.

…

That day, once more, the Vaelgrim decided to host their meeting not in their White Castle, or even in one forbidden zone…but instead atop the three blinding suns.

They were searing hot, but it was something each one of them could easily sweep aside. Besides, Laeh could make the suns be a cooling breeze for them, as she was the Will itself.

She was becoming extremely strong and unique in some kind of terrifying way, and it was something none of them except Noelle, Justicia, Apollonia and Elira knew.

Laeh had the potential to be something even the Will of the divine realm would fear. And that was the only outcome, after all Noah had promised his old friend to make Laeh the brightest star in the universe. Finally, she would be way better than that.

Noah never failed his words.

Now they spread themselves along the three suns, discussing with each other.

Noah watched his wives with pride dripping from his eyes. Each one of them was now at Law Creator rank, with their own laws.

It was done in only two months in.

It was impossible for each one of them to comprehend Law in such a short amount of time, but Noah made it possible.

Noah made them intensely train so that each of them could at least begin to understand something in their law. Once they stepped into that territory, Noah — with Providence — obtained their understanding at ten thousand times the quality.

Then he would transfer back that understanding to them, and that was done over and over again until a firm and solid understanding formed in their own concept.

Needless to say, it was taking a toll on his mind to do such a thing, but Noah put up with the discomfort. It was also not easy for his wives, but they did it, for they knew they needed this strength to succeed in their endeavor.

Noah even did it with his siblings, making the two comprehend a third law each. They were ecstatic, to say the least.

Added to that, he had made for each of them a backup plan if everything went south, hoping it would be enough.

He had done all he could, and his wives had done all they could.

Now the only thing that was left was to have confidence in them. And Noah did.

So now…

“We all soon depart.” Noah said, looking at each of them with a soft smile, “and we might not be able to see each other for a while, for each of you would be working on your own task.”

His words made many bear a forlorn expression.

Lea herself was whimpering at his lap, not wanting to bear the feeling of being away from Noah.

Noah smiled and began to caress her, easing her considerably.

“We will talk anyway.” Anya added, trying not to let sadness edge her voice. “With the rings on our fingers, we can talk with him and with each other anywhere and anytime. So it’s fine!”

“Oh!” Emmie grinned, “Like, isn’t it finally time we show off these rings? It was the plan, wasn’t it?”

“Huhuhuh,” Elira gave a snarky laugh, “Of course, dear sister, it is. We shall make sure to kill or retrieve the origins with the ringed hand. Just so that they see it.”

“Oh? You think they will notice it?” Apollonia smirked, “what about before starting, we each introduce ourselves while showing the ring. Let’s make it a ritual.”

“D-Does the ring need to be seen?” Virgo asked timidly at the side.

“Of course, Virgo!” They all said in perfect sync, making Virgo yelp in surprise.

Noah’s smile continued to deepen the more they talked. Each one of them was apprehensive, yet none showing it, deciding to ease the atmosphere with jokes instead of heavy sentences.

Noah decided to hop in, “You shall, of course declare it to the whole world every time, ladies. You can even add how these rings were made by the unfairly beautiful Noah Vaelgrim.”

He smirked arrogantly,

“Let the women know I am a romantic, I will take care of them.”

“Oh?” Selene whispered beside him, “Any women, my baby?”

“Anyone who can stand beside your presence without fainting.” He teased.

“Will be hard to find, sweetheart.”

“That’s the point, mother.”

They continued to joke around for a moment before everything died down, their expressions now focused.

Silence now settled atop the suns.

Noah unhurriedly got up, standing tall and steady, his white-purple slitted eyes watching them with a smile on his face,

“I added in the ring the power to step into this Buntu without any problem. One that will only react with your bloodline, concept and mana.”

They nodded.

“Now, before going, is there anything you want to say?” He asked.

They looked at each other for a heartbeat before turning their eyes on him. They smiled,

“We will hear from you, right?” Red asked for her sisters.

The meaning behind was clear.

They were wondering if the universe would make them hear of him.

Noah only smiled at that question,

“Of course, lovely ladies. You will all feel it and hear it.”

He grinned, and they grinned with him.

“I am Noah Vaelgrim.”
