Chapter 410: Chapter 410: Pale
Chapter 410 – Pale

Elven World — Treehouse.

Inside a training ground nestled deep amidst towering trees decorated with pink leaves and fields of matching weeds, three Worldborn were in their midst of intense training.

One of them, a man with a tall posture, was on the ground doing pushups with a small mountain on his back. The man was wearing many restriction artifacts on his wrists and ankles, making him only use his physical strength.

Added to that, the mountain was engraved in runes, making the weight increase at each successful repetition.

At that time, the weight was enough to destroy a whole continent as easily as breathing. Yet the man continued, sweat dripping on his sharp jawline, his left green eye scarred downward.

The man himself was Eric, now known as Baba.

The other two were Rouge and Malrik. Rouge was disguised as a man, yet she didn’t find any difficulty in adapting, for she had never acted like how a woman usually acted in any case.

She was doing weapon training with Malrik, with her using a golden staff and Malrik a scythe. Their battle was light but strong at the same time. They were using nothing except weapon mastery and their own physical body.

Rouge was swift and nimble, benefit of her small size and lithe body, making her able to blur at each of her steps, giving strikes enough to make the ground beneath them erupt into a cloud of shattered dust.

Malrik’s strength lay in his patience and foresight, able to react appropriately with minimal effort. His golden eyes were filled with the calmness of death. Rouge and him were like Life and Death. Two completely opposite.

Maybe that was why Rouge was drawn to him. And maybe that was why Malrik found comfort in Rouge’s wilderness.

There was something fascinating about seeing someone so opposite of you that they filled inside you the perfect void you needed to be filled.

An addicting feeling. One that made Rouge and Malrik the couple they were.

Their training continued in calm. And if one looked at them from an outside point of view, one would only believe that they were simply a trio of determined Seedwood who wanted to increase in rank.

Which was true, but what they did not know was that each of their steps, each of their loud breathing, soft breathing, and each of their random curses and grunts…

…all of that was them communicating.

The trio had no choice but to create a way for them to share information without raising suspicion.

The Treehouse was a world riddled with trees and every other kind of plant. And the Worldborn were the best users of this kind of magic, able to know anything and everything happening inside their world through these plants.

So they learned to speak with the sound of their footsteps, how hard they stepped on the ground, how their bodies moved, and the breathing accompanied with it. They learned how to say random words that meant completely different things to them.

They had begun this the moment they arrived in this world. It had been years now, and their special communication had improved by leaps and bounds.

And at that moment they were sharing information about the progress in their mission, just in time for Klaus to appear high in the sky and watch them quietly.

They stopped their actions immediately, stood straight and steady before bowing deeply in respect,

“We greet the Elderroot!” They bellowed in unison.

At that, Klaus simply nodded, standing in the sky, not willing to touch the earth as if disdaining it.

“Your dedication to your crafts has been one of the talks lately among our legions.” He said, voice heavy with authority, “I have proposed to Lord Orien your profiles for the next seats of Rootscion.”

The three pairs of eyes lit up with delightful surprise.

“But my Lord has been busy lately, as he will soon depart from the world, going on one of his glorious conquests. I shall be accompanying him too.”

Here, his eyes were glowing with a strange hue.

“All of this, to say that in the meantime, you should refine your skills even more, for the trials to be Rootscion are worthy of Hell’s affection.”

After saying those words, Klaus immediately disappeared, not willing to stay a single more second with them.

After his departure, the trio stood there, watching emptily the space in front of them.

The words of Klaus were strange. But in all of what he said, there was only one thing the trio managed to understand…

Orien Luelle Worldborn had left his Palace once more, going out to the universe.

‘For another conquest… he had said.’ Eric added inwardly.

They exchanged a glance, then wordlessly continued their training.

They could smell it.

Something was brewing. And the stench was a nasty one.

…

Weeks passed since their talks about the Origins, and the Vaelgrims spent these weeks in a furious hunt for information.

They did not rest a single second, using everything they could lay their hands on to inquire about where the Origins were.

There were some easy to spot, with Shadow aiding them, like Sword, Lightning, and Mind.

There were also others, like Love, Charm, and Lust, whose hiding places were revealed to them rather easily.

There were more still, but a couple of them were ones they knew where they were, yet obtaining them was another matter altogether.

And others… they had absolutely no idea where they were.

The Origin of Soul, for example, was said to be inside the Spirit World. And the Origin of Spirit was said to be held by the Queen of Hearts who lived deep inside the Fairies’ Main World.

A world none had ever seen but only heard of.

The Speech Origin was also said to be held by a dragon. One of the grandchildren of the Progenitor — Esmeray, Mother of Dragons — nonetheless.

Added to that, any type of Origin related to fire, light, sun, justice, stars, and moon were either in the hands of the Celestial faction, or none knew where they were.

Soleil Octave of BrightSky was the owner of the Origin of Sun, with her mother Idalia Marigold holding the one of Light.

The Origins of Emotions and Gold were in the hands of the Human faction, with the Divine Beast holding those of bloodline and beasts.

There were others still not claimed, like Life, Death, Faith and Devotion, and Void.

Though Life was very close to the Worldborn, from what Aurelia had told them.

These gathered pieces of knowledge allowed them to plan better, not leaving any kind of loophole that could cause them trouble.

Well, at least they tried. But rare were plans that properly did their job.

Noah, meanwhile, had noted each Origin they needed, who held them, and where they were. After that, he reevaluated the full strength of each of his wives impartially.

He wondered if he should let the ones with the same concept go toward the same Origin. It was dangerous, for they would not be able to use their powers at full capacity facing them.

Noah would have believed they might find a way, but he would rather not bet on the frivolous Lady Luck.

Instead, he matched each of them with different Origins that did not embody their own concepts. Most of them were in groups of two, but some were alone.

Virgo, for example, was left alone with her opponent. The same with Zara and Shadeva.

It was not a matter of confidence, it was because their powers were too unique and could cause widespread damage in harrowing ways if used correctly.

Decadence, Emotions, and Motherhood.

Not ones for the weak.

After all those preparations, they didn’t act immediately. Instead, they trained even more intensively, pushing themselves to their absolute limits for the upcoming battles.

The ones who were in duos began to fight together, sharpening their synergy.

Appolonia and Yuki, for example, were together. They found it strange, for Noah always paired them. Even back in the academy, they remembered going on a mission together with Noah.

That mission where he met Shadeva. That mission where Elizabeth freed herself from Justicia.

Since that mission, they somehow felt a sense of rivalry between them, and even if reluctantly… they felt closer to each other than to the rest of their sisters.

Something neither of them would ever admit aloud. But they felt it.

And they showed it by cursing and mocking each other every now and then. Especially now, with Apollonia’s new appearance, Yuki didn’t shy away from calling her “two-tainted bitch.”

A name that always made Apollonia empty her bag full of curses. For the granddaughter of The Celeste, it was terrifying to witness her foul mouth.

And just like that…

…they trained.

And while all of them trained, with three moons rising from the pale dark horizon of Laeh, Noah was in his room, his mind drifting once again.

Needless to say, he would not let his wives go into their quests without safety measures. And he was thinking of how to make it billions of times harder to kill them. First, he needed to make them Law Creators.

And then…

Answers began to gather inside his mind like a storm, but they disappeared like smoke as Noah felt something heavy on his chest.

He opened his purple eyes and saw Providence sitting on his chest, wearing nothing except a T-shirt that was transparent and showed her whole body shamelessly.

She leaned her face forward, stopping only when their breaths could be seen dancing sensually.

“Your mind is clouded by too many thoughts, my Noah.” She whispered, slowly licking his face sensually while her hand trailed down his thigh, in the direction of his divine rod.

“Do you mind if I help you relax?”

Noah smiled, “How would you help me, darling?”

Providence grinned before tearing apart her T-shirt, showing her full naked pale body painted with mesmerizing tattoos.

Noah’s divine rod immediately saluted like a good soldier.

“Me, darling,” Providence slurred, “I will use myself for that task.”

She kissed his lips next, “Claim me, darling.”

“Claim your own system.”

Noah’s lips twitched at the last one, “Saying it like this, you make me look like the Father of Degenerates.” He said while slowly fondling Providence’s perfect round breasts.

Providence suppressed a moan as her hand grabbed Noah’s divine rod, then kissed his neck while still answering him,

“You are indeed a degenerate. But our degenerate.”

Noah’s lips curled upward, then he flipped her over briskly, mounted her, watching from above. Providence yelped in small surprise before her smile widened lustfully, drinking in the sight of Noah’s naked body.

Her Noah truly was a beautiful one, she obsessively remarked.

Next, she parted her legs wide open, showing her pink cave already slick with holy water, then licked her lips sensually.

“Make me yours.”

Noah did.

And by the morning, Providence was even paler than usual.

A very interesting kind of pale.
