Chapter 400: Chapter 400
Not to mention Heavenly Lake.

This mountain range stretching hundreds of miles was declared by Atlas Ashmount to belong to the Holy Land of Endless Mountains, and no one dared voice a single objection.

This was the privilege of the strong.

Absolute authority. Absolute right to speak.

“Master,” Isolde Stonebridge stepped closer and spoke softly, “this man claims to be from the Verdant Lantern Empire, but according to my knowledge… he should also be a member of the Blood Tavern.”

“Oh?” Atlas Ashmount chuckled lightly.

“So they’re from the Blood Tavern.”

“They’ve developed quite well in Skyreach Territory during my years of seclusion. Apart from the vanished Ethan, there’s even such a young Supreme.”

As he spoke, Atlas Ashmount narrowed his eyes, carefully sizing Zeon up from head to toe.

“Are you from the Blood Tavern?”

“Yes,” Zeon replied calmly.

“But does that conflict with my identity as someone from the Verdant Lantern Empire?”

“There’s no conflict,” Atlas replied lightly.

“But that doesn’t justify your trespassing into Heavenly Lake, territory of my Holy Land of Endless Mountains.”

“We were merely cultivating in seclusion here,” Zeon said.

“We’ve done nothing out of the ordinary.”

“Mm?”

Atlas shook his head slightly, clearly dissatisfied.

Zeon understood—this man wasn’t someone who could be easily fooled.

So he spoke frankly.

“We have no intention of clashing with the Holy Land. I’m willing to offer ten Mahayana Pills and one Immortal grade Spiritual Weapon in exchange for using this place for cultivation.”

As soon as he finished speaking, he extended his palm.

A storage bag and a long sword floated into the air and landed gently in Atlas Ashmount’s hands.

Atlas casually tossed them to Isolde Stonebridge, then smiled faintly.

“You claim you don’t intend to conflict with the Holy Land of Endless Mountains?”

“Ten years ago, things weren’t like this.”

“More than half of the Ashenvale family in our Holy Land died at the hands of your Blood Tavern. Other families suffered losses as well.”

His voice grew colder.

“How can so many human lives be settled with a few Mahayana Pills and an Immortal Spiritual Weapon?”

“If I let you leave today, how should I explain this to the dead?”

“And how should I explain it to the entire Endless Mountains Holy Land?”

Zeon’s fists clenched slightly.

Atlas Ashmount’s words made his stance clear—

He had no intention of letting them go.

What happened ten years ago was the Ashenvale family’s own fault.

Their young master had abused his power and insisted on provoking Ethan.

If not for Ethan’s extraordinary talent, terrifying strength, and the backing of the Blood Tavern—

That young master wouldn’t even have grass tall enough on his grave by now.

“I suspect the formation node here was set up by your Blood Marquis,” Atlas continued calmly.

“Notify him. Let’s settle all old scores together.”

“With respect,” Zeon replied coldly, no longer hiding anything, “the Ashenvale family ended as they did entirely because of their own actions.”

“Hm?”

Atlas Ashmount’s eyes narrowed sharply.

“How dare you—a mere Inferior Supreme—speak to me in this tone?”

Zeon laughed softly.

“So your Holy Land can decide others’ lives at will, and others aren’t allowed to resist?”

“You’re right,” Atlas replied indifferently.

“But this is Skyreach Territory—the domain of my Holy Land of Endless Mountains.”

“Not the Verdant Lantern Empire.”

“And certainly not your Blood Tavern.”

His expression turned icy.

With a wave of his hand—

Golden thunder and lightning erupted from his body.

In an instant, it expanded outward, forming a vast and oppressive world.

Atlas Ashmount’s world of intent— The World of Golden Thunder.

“Damn it!”

The moment Zeon was enveloped, his face changed drastically.

Terrifying pressure crashed down from all directions.

The spiritual energy in his body slowed to a crawl.

His limbs felt as heavy as molten lead.

Even breathing became difficult.

“Master,” Isolde Stonebridge said softly, concern flashing in her eyes.

“Ten years ago, the Ashenvale family’s young master was indeed at fault. Moreover, Ethan showed monstrous talent—he could kill peak Mahayana cultivators and had the Blood Tavern backing him.”

“Do we really need to make them our enemies?”

Atlas shook his head calmly.

“The Blood Tavern is strong, yes. But this is Skyreach Territory.”

“They don’t get to be arrogant here.”

“And Ethan holds a divine weapon.”

“How can such a treasure be allowed to remain in the hands of an unknown?”

He glanced at Zeon.

“Zeon is here. The friend he’s protecting is likely the Blood Tavern’s genius. That person must be Ethan.”

“This is an excellent opportunity for our Holy Land.”

“But the Blood Tavern still has the Blood Marquis,” Isolde insisted softly.

She didn’t want to become Ethan’s enemy.

Yet she had little authority to oppose her master.

Atlas smiled faintly.

“Don’t worry. I received news this morning.”

“The Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets has joined forces with the Vernal Dawn royal family to attack the Blood Tavern.”

“The Blood Marquis and the people from Myriad Treasure Pavilion are currently tied down.”

“This opportunity…” his eyes gleamed, “comes once in a lifetime.”

Isolde frowned.

She truly hadn’t known this.

“But—”

“That’s enough,” Atlas interrupted calmly.

“Ethan is a genius, yes.”

“But you must understand something.”

“Geniuses are easily broken.”

“And a genius who doesn’t grow up… is no genius at all.”

He turned his gaze back to Zeon.

“The one cultivating underground—who is it?”

“Crazy Blade Magnus?”

“Or Ethan?”

Zeon clenched his fists so tightly that blood nearly seeped through his skin.

This old fox…

Atlas laughed.

“Just as I guessed. The one who just survived the tribulation was either Magnus or Ethan from your Blood Tavern.”

“I truly didn’t expect the Blood Marquis to hide such a precious cultivation place right under my nose.”

“He really is capable.”

His smile turned colder.

“It’s a pity he isn’t here today.”

He slowly raised his head.

“But if you hand over the artifact, I’ll let you go.”

“Otherwise—”

“Don’t blame me for being ruthless.”

A cold gleam flashed in Atlas Ashmount’s eyes.

The dagger had appeared.

Zeon’s heart sank.

“So that’s it…”

“So even this Holy Lord has come for Ethan’s artifact.”

He ground his teeth.

He should’ve realized it long ago.

The temptation of a divine artifact was too great.

So great that even the Holy Lord of the Endless Mountains Holy Land was willing to risk a deadly feud with the Blood Tavern for it!
