Chapter 395: Chapter 395
Inside, only Ethan remained.

“Um?”

Asher suddenly stopped in his tracks and took out a blood colored jade pendant from his chest. The pendant pulsed violently, emitting a faint yet urgent glow.

This was a distress signal from Uga.

His brows furrowed.

“Something happened in Noble Sun City…” Asher muttered.

Without hesitation, he raised his head and said coldly, “I’ll go back first. Don’t run around!”

As soon as his voice fell, his figure leaped upward, stepping directly onto the space transmission node above.

“We’re going back too!” Zeon immediately shouted.

Asher shook his head.

“You two have just broken through and still need to stabilize your realms. Ethan is still in seclusion. I need you both to stay and protect him.”

He paused, his tone firm.

“Don’t worry. As long as I’m alive, nothing will happen to the Blood Tavern.”

With that, Asher stepped into the spatial rift and vanished.

Silence returned.

Magnus frowned. “Sister Uga is still at the tavern. How could something happen?”

“I don’t know,” Zeon replied gravely.

“After so many years… I’m afraid the situation has changed.”

He turned toward the tightly sealed stone gate, pacing back and forth restlessly.

“Brother Ethan, come out of seclusion quickly…”

Behind the stone gate.

Ethan sat cross-legged, unmoving, like an ancient statue carved from stone.

Nine years.

For nine years, his Original power had accumulated to their absolute peak.

Within his body, the Nine Emperors Dao Body had almost completed the first layer of cultivation. The miniature Emperor Star suspended in his dantian now shone with terrifying brilliance—vast, heavy, and ancient—almost indistinguishable from a true Emperor star.

Only the final condensation remained.

“Coming…”

Ethan’s eyelids trembled slightly.

In the next instant, his eyes snapped open.

Boom!

The bottleneck restraining his cultivation shattered like brittle glass.

The path to the Supreme Realm—fully opened!

“Now… come.”

“Supreme Tribulation!”

Ethan slowly raised his head.

The world vanished.

In its place appeared an endless, boundless starry sky.

Stars glittered like sand, vast and magnificent. Behind Ethan, the phantom of the Emperor Star manifested fully, radiating boundless star power and continuously pouring it into his body.

Then—

Clank! Clank! Clank!

A massive web woven from black chains descended from the void, sealing heaven and earth.

The next second, a bolt of lightning tore through the starry sky.

Thunderclouds gathered.

The Supreme Tribulation had arrived.

Boom—!

The entire mountain range containing Heavenly Lake trembled violently.

Outside the stone gate.

“Um?!”

Zeon froze mid-step.

“What’s that movement?”

He pressed his ear against the stone door, listening carefully.

Magnus’s eyes widened.

“This aura… Brother Ethan is breaking through to the Supreme Realm!”

Excitement surged through him—followed immediately by shock.

Both he and Zeon had reached the peak of Ninth-Turn Mahayana, relying on this ancient ruin and nearly ten years of bitter cultivation to finally step into the Supreme Realm.

But Ethan?

Before entering seclusion, Ethan had only been at the Seventh Turn of Nirvana!

Now, he was directly charging toward the Supreme Realm.

This speed…

It was terrifying.

“Breaking through the Supreme Realm in just ten years?” Zeon swallowed hard.

“From Seventh-Turn Nirvana to Supreme… this is insane.”

As everyone knew, physical cultivation was notoriously difficult. Worse still, most body cultivation inheritances were incomplete or lost.

Yet Ethan, a pure physical cultivator, had progressed faster than any spiritual cultivator.

It defied common sense.

“Brother Ethan cannot be measured by logic,” Magnus said solemnly.

“Let’s remain calm.”

The ground shook again—stronger than before.

Magnus’s expression changed.

“Why is the trembling intensifying?”

Zeon frowned deeply.

“Shouldn’t the formations in this ruin suppress heavenly phenomena? Why aren’t they working on Brother Ethan’s tribulation?”

“Everyone’s Supreme Tribulation is different,” Magnus said after a moment of thought.

“Brother Ethan’s tribulation may be far stronger than ours.”

“If this continues, it will attract powerful cultivators.”

He turned toward Zeon.

“I’ll stay here and guard the stone gate. You go up to Heavenly Lake and check the situation outside.”

Zeon nodded without hesitation.

“Good.”

He stepped into the spatial node and vanished.

Now a Supreme Realm powerhouse, equipped with high-level techniques and powerful artifacts, Zeon was confident he could contend even with an Intermediate Supreme if necessary.

Magnus sat cross-legged before the stone gate, sword laid across his knees, eyes closed but spirit fully alert.

Moments later, the sound transmission jade at his waist lit up.

“Brother Magnus,” Zeon’s voice came through.

“I’m at Heavenly Lake. The surroundings are calm. This place is a volcanic crater—earthquakes are common. No one paid attention.”

Magnus exhaled softly.

“Good. I hope the phenomenon doesn’t escalate.”

“If anyone dares interfere, I’ll deal with them,” Zeon replied confidently.

“If they want to cross me, they’d better be at least an Intermediate Supreme.”

Rumble—!

Inside the stone chamber.

Ethan’s gaze pierced through stone, through earth, straight into the starry heavens.

Thunderclouds churned violently, condensing at an astonishing speed.

In just a few breaths, the sky darkened completely.

The Supreme Tribulation was nothing like the Nirvana Tribulation.

No stages.

No mercy.

Just a single heavenly thunder.

The stronger the cultivator, the stronger the thunder.

Contained within that thunder was the pure power of the Great Dao.

Survive it—and one would stand above all, becoming Supreme.

Fail—and body and soul would be obliterated.

In the entire world, countless Ninth-Turn Mahayana cultivators would never even sense the chance to break through.

Among ten thousand, perhaps a hundred would glimpse the threshold.

And among those hundred, only a handful would successfully endure the Supreme Tribulation and live.

This tribulation was the true divide between mortals and supreme beings.

Ethan slowly clenched his fists.

His blood roared.

His bones sang.

The Emperor Star within him pulsed, as if responding to the thunder above.

In this world, there was one thing that could significantly increase the success rate of overcoming the tribulation, and that is the supreme heart.
