Chapter 367: Chapter 367
Ryan’s brows knitted tightly.

This was the first time he had ever witnessed the so-called Original Power with his own eyes.

Of course he knew what it meant—those who stepped into the Nirvana Realm would eventually transform their essence and blood into Original Power. But such a transformation required crossing numerous Nirvana Tribulations, enduring the cleansing of heaven, and absorbing the essence of the Great Dao.

Even among first-rate geniuses of ancient clans, very few could fully condense Original Power before the eighth turn of Nirvana.

But Ethan…

He achieved this Original power, clearly under the eighth turn of Nirvana.

The golden power he released effortlessly dissolved Ryan’s attacks as if they were childish playthings.

How high must this monster’s talent be?

Ryan forced a smile. “Haha… seems you’re a bit stronger than I thought. Not so weak after all.”

“Good. That makes things interesting.”

He rolled his neck, cracked his wrists, and raised his sword, preparing to fight seriously.

“Interesting?”

Ethan’s voice drifted faintly behind him.

Ryan’s pupils shrank violently.

Because—

Ethan was suddenly standing right behind him.

Quiet, relaxed, speaking casually as if having a conversation over tea. Yet that alone sent a cold shiver crawling up Ryan’s spine.

“Retreat!”

His instincts screamed.

Ryan immediately exploded into a streak of blue light, retreating dozens of meters in an instant.

“Huff…”

He exhaled sharply and looked around—only to find Ethan… gone again.

“So fast… How did he do that?”

Ryan’s expression finally lost its arrogance. He closed his eyes briefly, sweeping the surroundings with his senses.

Nothing.

No aura.

No movement.

No presence.

Until—

“Where are you running to?”

Ethan’s voice whispered beside his ear.

Ryan jerked his head around in shock—only to find empty air.

“What’s going on?!”

Cold sweat dampened his back.

He looked left. Nothing.

Right. Nothing.

Above. Nothing.

“Damn it—Ethan!” Ryan shouted angrily.

“Can you only hide like a coward?!”

But Ethan’s voice came again, eerily calm, brushing against his senses like a ghost drifting past his neck.

“Again.”

Teeth gritted, Ryan spun around.

Still nothing.

“You… bastard!”

He swung his sword at the empty space, but the blade only cut through cold wind.

“Come out here!”

“Mm?”

This time, Ethan’s voice was accompanied by something else—

A hand landed on Ryan’s shoulder.

Light. Casual. Calm.

But the weight might as well have been a mountain.

Ryan froze. His entire body trembled.

It wasn’t just surprise—

He felt fear.

Because he still couldn’t sense Ethan’s position or aura.

And all of this—was happening inside his own Sword Intent Domain.

“Impossible…” Ryan whispered, face pale.

He took a deep breath, forcing composure into his voice.

Then he roared, “Trying to act mysterious?! I’ll destroy you in one move!”

“Sword Intent Domain—full power!”

Ryan unleashed everything. His domain expanded, sword intent bursting out like raging waves, aiming to suppress Ethan’s movement completely.

“Get your hands off me!”

Ice spiritual energy surged out from Ryan’s core, compressed to its absolute limit.

But—

Ethan merely smiled.

“Too young.”

The golden aura around Ethan gently pulsed outward, dissolving the flood of ice spiritual energy like sunlight melting morning frost.

“Young man, don’t be too arrogant.”

Ethan pressed his palm down.

Boom—!

A golden barrier erupted around him, expanding rapidly until its edges collided with Ryan’s sword intent domain.

Cracks spider-webbed instantly.

“Break,” Ethan said softly.

A deafening shatter echoed across the barren hills.

Ryan’s domain collapsed like fragile glass, fracturing under the weight of Ethan’s Original Power.

“Ugh—!!”

Ryan spat out a mouthful of blood as the backlash hit him like a hammer. His body staggered, his aura weakened dramatically.

Ethan tilted his head. “Well? Isn’t it fun?”

The shattered remnants of Ryan’s domain faded into cold mist.

Ryan’s heart pounded furiously. He tried to activate his spiritual energy—but found it sluggish, almost frozen.

His eyes widened.

Ethan’s palm was still on his shoulder.

And that alone was suppressing his entire cultivation.

This terrifying pressure—

He had only ever felt it from his master.

Could Ethan truly have reached—

“Is… is he Supreme Realm?” Ryan thought, chills crawling up his spine.

“Ryan, isn’t it?” Ethan asked, smiling lightly. “Do you think I’m worthy now?”

Ryan clenched his jaw.

This was the first time he had been crushed so utterly by someone of the same generation.

It was humiliating.

It was infuriating.

But the gap was undeniable.

After a long silence, Ryan let out a bitter breath.

“…You win.”

Only then did Ethan release him.

Ryan staggered backward, catching himself with the tip of his sword. He exhaled deeply, finally stabilizing his breath.

He turned to face Ethan, expression completely changed.

No arrogance.

No disdain.

Only respect—and a trace of awe.

“I truly didn’t expect someone like you to exist in Skyreach Territory… You’re not a genius. You’re a super monster.”

Even in his ancient clan, there were fewer than three who could suppress him completely.

And he was confident none of them could do it with such ease.

Even Lucien Moonfall—the Moonfall family’s legendary prodigy—might not be able to match Ethan.

Ethan casually dusted his hands. “How is it?”

Ryan cupped his fists. “I, Ryan, pay respect to your strength.”

“All my earlier offense… I hope you won’t hold it against me.”

Ethan waved lightly. “Since you understand, I won’t make things difficult. You can leave.”

“You’ve already suffered serious backlash. That’s lesson enough.”

“Thank you.” Ryan bowed again.

But a thought still gnawed at him. He hesitated, then asked:

“I have a question.”

“Oh?”

“With your strength and talent… why do you remain in a small place like Skyreach Territory?”

Ethan chuckled.

“Small? Skyreach Territory?”

He looked up at the wide sky overhead.

“This territory is vast. Filled with experts. Countless geniuses. Even those comparable to Blood Marquis-level existences can appear at any moment.”

Ryan froze.

Ethan smiled faintly. “What’s small is not the territory. It’s your perspective.”

“…I understand.” Ryan lowered his head, ashamed.

“I was narrow-minded.”

He had always believed the only forces capable of matching the ancient families in the Far North were the great powers of Oceanreach—

Particularly the super-giant force:

the Verdant Lantern Empire.
