Chapter 360: Chapter 360
“I will stop these people. They can’t do anything to me.”

Latham’s voice echoed inside Ethan’s mind, firm and immovable as a mountain.

Ethan’s eyes narrowed slightly.

“Thank you, Talker Latham. Just hold them off for a short while. I only need a bit more time to recover.”

“So fast…?” Latham’s usually-calm heart wavered.

This brat had just survived continuous, brutal battles against beings far above his realm… and yet his strength was already returning at an inhuman rate.

What kind of monster recovers like this?

He felt as though Ethan was forged from divine iron—unbreakable, relentless.

“Alright,” Latham finally muttered, “I’ll block River and the others. Recover quickly.”

He stepped forward, aura erupting like a storm-torn sea.

River, Belle Thunderhall, and Peter Deepvale immediately responded, spiritual energy surging as killing intent thickened the air.

Tension rippled across the battlefield.

Isolde Stonebridge and Jorath Ashmount both felt their expressions twist in distress.

Although their hearts were aligned with Ethan’s…

The Thunderhall and Deepvale families were also pillars of the Holy Land of Endless Mountains. A direct battle between these factions could fracture alliances that had lasted for centuries. If they acted rashly here, they risked igniting a political wildfire no one could extinguish.

Ethan noticed their hesitation.

He offered them a respectful clasp of his hands.

“I, Ethan, appreciate your intentions. But today’s conflict is between me and them. There’s no need for either of you to intervene.”

Relief washed over Isolde’s features. She saluted deeply.

“Thank you, Brother Ethan, for your understanding.”

She and Jorath stepped aside, making their stance unmistakable. Their families would not become Ethan’s enemies.

River’s lips curled coldly.

“Latham, don’t think you’re invincible just because you’re an Intermediate Supreme. The Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets has more than one powerhouse at that level.”

His eyes suddenly brightened with joy.

“Senior Drake is here!”

A streak of light blue swept rapidly across the sky from the direction of Noble Sun City. Within seconds, the figure dropped from the heavens, landing before River with astonishing momentum.

A man stood there—middle-aged, tall, with dark blue hair and sharply defined features. His emerald-green eyes held an exotic chill. He radiated arrogance so naturally it felt like a birthright.

He was no native of Oceanreach Continent.

A monster raised in the harsh cultures of the East Sea Islands—later taken by the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets and elevated to the position of general manager.

Latham’s pupils contracted.

“Old Demon Drake… You actually came out of seclusion!”

Drake laughed lightly.

“I heard artifacts appeared here. How could I stay quiet? But you, Latham… your aura is unstable. Have you fought a powerful enemy recently?”

Latham’s jaw tightened.

Of course this cunning old fox would show up only now—waiting to pick up the scraps…

Drake turned his attention to Ethan, his smile widening.

“So you’re the boy named Ethan? Hand over the divine weapon and I may consider sparing your life.”

His tone wasn’t a request. It was the tone of a man who believed everything beneath heaven belonged to him.

Ethan lifted his gaze slowly.

“Who?”

His calm was frightening.

By this point, his body had recovered nearly forty percent. It wasn’t enough to crush an Intermediate Supreme—but escaping would be easy.

If he reached seventy or eighty percent…

He could activate the Chaos Clock fully again. And at that point, suppressing Drake Supreme would be a simple matter.

Drake clicked his tongue. “It seems I’ve been secluded too long. Juniors these days don’t even know my name.”

He straightened proudly.

“I am Drake, general manager of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets in the Skyreach Territory. Others call me Drake Supreme.”

“Drake Supreme?” Ethan’s eyes narrowed slightly, a glint of amusement flashing there.

“As expected of your Pavilion—loud names for loud people. But if you want the divine weapon in my hand, you’d better have the ability to take it.”

Drake’s gaze turned razor-sharp.

“Boy, don’t think that just because Latham protects you, you can be arrogant with me. I alone can restrain everyone here except him. What will you do when the other Supremes from our Pavilion, Thunderhall, and Deepvale families move against you?”

He stood with hands clasped behind his back, smiling with utter disdain.

Ethan’s expression hardened into ice.

“The manager of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets truly loves useless chatter. If you want to seize the treasure, do it. But I doubt Peter Deepvale or Belle Thunderhall dare to fight me.”

He turned his gaze toward the two.

A cold, oppressive pressure surged from his eyes alone.

Their hearts pounded wildly.

River immediately jumped in.

“Master Manager! Ethan may be only at seventh-turn Nirvana, but his combat power is monstrous. Even without a divine weapon, he can fight Inferior Supremes—and he killed the city lord of Noble Sun City and the Supreme Elder of the Ashenvale family!”

Drake’s brows rose.

“Oh? Quite a monster indeed.” His voice chilled.

“Since we’ve already offended him, he must die today. A talent like him—if allowed to grow—will become a calamity.”

“He still has Latham,” River warned.

“And isn’t the Blood Tavern’s guardian nearby?”

Drake snorted. “That guardian? I haven’t seen him in fifty years. No one knows where he is. He won’t appear in time.”

At that moment—

“Senior Drake, the head of the Deepvale family is here!”

“My husband has arrived as well!” Belle Thunderhall added quickly.

Two additional streaks of light tore open the skyline, rapidly growing clearer before landing in front of Peter Deepvale and Belle Thunderhall.

Drake’s smile deepened.

“Good. Now we can begin.”

His gaze locked onto Latham.

“Old Latham, my Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets does not wish to be your enemy. But if you block us today… don’t blame me for showing no mercy.”

“The sword has no eyes,” he added mockingly.

“In your frail state, a single misstep—don’t say I bullied you.”

His spiritual pressure exploded outward.

BOOM!

Dust shot into the air. The ground cracked. Winds screamed as spiritual energy surged like a raging sea.

At that exact moment, the two newly arrived figures descended completely—

“Husband, you are here.”
