God-Tier Fishing System - Chapter 359
Chapter 359: Chapter 359
“It turns out to be a divine weapon that can protect the soul forever. That’s it!”
Ethan’s lips lifted in a faint arc the moment the truth clicked in his mind. Without hesitation, he pushed off the ground, his body dissolving into a streak of light as he sped forward.
Latham’s expression darkened the instant Ethan’s figure abruptly burrowed into the earth.
“What is he doing…?”
A chill crept through his chest.
Could it be that those two aren’t dead?
The bodies lay not far away—lifeless, stiff, all vitality and power completely erased by divine force. Even the Supreme Heart of the female Supreme expert had been annihilated. Under such a death, survival was impossible.
So how…?
Before his doubts settled, the ground ruptured.
Boom—
Ethan erupted upward, a nine-colored jade bottle clenched in his hand.
The Heaven-piercing Mind Eyes opened instantly, their deep blue brilliance sweeping across the bottle. Two barely perceptible but unmistakably familiar auras flickered inside.
“Two little mice,” Ethan murmured, an evil smile curling at the corners of his lips, “I caught you.”
With a casual flick, he stored the bottle away.
Everyone watching was stunned into silence.
The multicolored radiance that flashed in Ethan’s palm—so pure, so ancient—made even the strongest among them feel a twinge of fear.
Belle Thunderhall raised a trembling finger toward Ethan.
“E-Ethan… what did you just put away?”
Ethan turned his head, smiling as if amused by a child’s question.
“Of course it’s the mysterious female Supreme I defeated moments ago. Why? Interested in meeting her?” His smile widened, bright and blinding.
“Should I let her out so she can chat with you for a while?”
Belle’s eyelids twitched violently, her hands clenching until her knuckles whitened. Her chest rose and fell as fury and humiliation warred in her heart.
She gritted her teeth but didn’t dare speak further. She knew she couldn’t face that female Supreme alone. And now she finally understood—those two hadn’t died at all, they had hidden in that jade bottle.
A bottle capable of storing living Supreme expert…
‘That bottle is absolutely a top-tier treasure… maybe even an artifact.’
If the duo already possessed an artifact like the compass of heaven and earth, then carrying another life-saving artifact was completely within reason.
Ethan’s gaze swept across the gathered crowd.
“Well? If none of you plan to leave, what exactly are you waiting for?”
His expression was utterly calm, aura stable, as if the previous earth-shaking battles had not drained him at all.
Of course, it was all an act.
In truth, he was on the brink of exhaustion. If given half an hour, with the Celestial Jade Physique Scripture and elixirs, he could restore himself to seventy or eighty percent. But right now, he was gambling—on fear, on intimidation, on his reputation.
River, however, stepped forward with a cold laugh.
“Ethan, do you think you’re invincible? You only won because of the artifacts in your hand.” He folded his arms, expression indifferent.
“Don’t pretend you still have strength left. The defeat of the mysterious female Supreme today was only possible because all of us joined forces.”
His voice sharpened.
“You will hand over their storage rings—and one artifact. Otherwise, don’t blame us for being rude.”
His words were laced with a murderous intent.
Behind him, Belle Thunderhall and Peter Deepvale’s expressions hardened as well. Their strongest reinforcements were already rushing toward this place, and the head of the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets would arrive soon. They would not—could not—leave empty handed.
Three artifacts appearing in one location was nothing short of a continent-shaking miracle.
Letting such an opportunity slip by would haunt them for lifetimes.
Isolde Stonebridge stepped forward, brows furrowed.
“Mrs. Belle, Elder Peter, this behavior is unwise. I urge you to reconsider.”
She didn’t fear them—but she feared the consequences.
The Ashenvale family had already provoked Ethan. She refused to see the Holy Land dragged into deeper hostility. Ethan was monstrously talented, supported by the Myriad Treasure Pavilion and the Blood Tavern. Offending him would mean gambling the future of their entire lineage.
Peter Deepvale scoffed openly.
“Isolde Stonebridge, you are just a saint—not the Holy Lord. If the Holy Lord orders us to stop, we will. But you do not carry that weight.”
He looked down on her as though she were an insect.
To him, only strength commanded respect—and she was far weaker than Commanders like Damion.
“You…” Isolde clenched her fists, unable to retort.
Jorath Ashmount stepped forward calmly.
“Peter Deepvale, Belle Thunderhall—choose wisely.”
The air shifted.
The Ashmount family had controlled the Holy Lord position for two centuries. Their words were not easily dismissed.
Peter and Belle exchanged a subtle glance. They clearly disliked the Ashmount family’s long-standing dominance.
Now a once-in-ten-thousand-years opportunity had fallen right in front of them.
Peter sneered. “Elder Ashmount, your family has enjoyed centuries of power. Of course you can afford to speak so righteously.”
His tone chilled. “But today, we join forces to kill Ethan. Even if he’s the reason we are alive, why shouldn’t the rest of us get something for our efforts?”
Ethan laughed, voice cold and mocking.
“Hahaha—Peter Deepvale, you really think others are fools?” He raised a brow.
“You just united with the Ashenvale family earlier to kill me. And now you preach fairness?”
His eyes sharpened, the killing intent behind them suddenly erupting like a blade.
“Hmph. Enough talk.” Peter’s aura surged, his gaze cutting like frost.
“If that’s how it is, then there is only one path left. Today, Ethan—there will be a battle between us.”
The air froze.
Latham stepped forward without hesitation, shielding Ethan.
“If any of you want the treasures,” he declared coldly, “then step forward and try.”
His silhouette carried unshakeable determination.
Ethan turned toward him, faint surprise flickering in his eyes before he masked it beneath his usual calm.
Latham continued firmly,
“Ethan, you and the people from the Blood Tavern should go back to Noble Sun City.”
