Chapter 358: Chapter 358(Inspiration Capsule Extra Chapter)
When everyone heard Latham’s words, they did not respond. Their gazes were fixed instead on the shrinking compass in the sky.

Without its owner, the Compass of Heaven and Earth rapidly lost its power. The terrifying aura faded, the golden radiance dimmed, and the compass shrank to the size of a palm.

With a flick of his hand, Ethan summoned it directly into his grasp.

At the same moment, he reached upward again—two supreme puppets were forcibly dragged from the air and pulled toward him.

Ethan did not hesitate. His mental energy surged into his fingertips like razor blades. He erased the mental imprints on both the Compass of Heaven and Earth and the puppets, then branded his own mark upon them.

In just a few breaths, the divine weapon and the supreme puppets belonged fully to him.

A treasure that any Supreme Realm expert would stain their hands in blood for… Ethan now wielded effortlessly.

The expressions of the others darkened instantly.

River from the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets was the first to break the tense silence.

“Little friend Ethan,” he began with a cold snort, “we put in quite a lot of effort dealing with that mysterious supreme expert. Shouldn’t we get a share of the treasures?”

Ethan raised an eyebrow, looking at him with an indifferent expression.

“And you are?”

“Hmph! I am River, from the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets!”

Ethan sneered, eyes narrowing.

“Oh? From the Pavilion of Heavenly Secrets… yes, this level of shamelessness does match your usual style.”

River’s face twisted with anger.

Before he could speak again, Latham laughed loudly.

“Everyone, if it weren’t for Little Friend Ethan, you’d already be corpses lying in this valley. Instead of thanking him, you dare ask for treasure? Your faces truly know no shame.”

Belle Thunderhall quickly stepped forward and retorted, “Be that as it may, we all contributed! We deserve something!”

“My Deepvale family also helped greatly!” Peter Deepvale added, puffing out his chest.

“If we hadn’t joined forces to exhaust the mysterious supreme expert, how could Ethan have landed the killing blow so easily?”

Damion, Isolde Stonebridge, and Jorath Ashmount exchanged looks. They did not step forward aggressively.

Instead, the three approached Ethan, cupped their fists, and bowed respectfully.

Isolde Stonebridge was the first to speak.

“If Mr. Ethan had not intervened today, all of us would be lying dead. Stonebridge family owes you greatly. Should Mr. Ethan ever need assistance, you must only ask.”

Her tone was sincere—she was not blinded by the divine artifact. She chose goodwill over greed.

“The Ashmount family feels the same,” Jorath said, bowing as well.

“Ethan’s achievements today are his alone. We do not covet these spoils.”

Ethan nodded lightly. “Good.”

He did not waste breath on empty pleasantries. With a flick of his sleeves, he walked toward the center of the valley.

There, an enormous crater lay—the impact zone of the Chaos Clock.

Ethan descended into the pit.

At its center lay the bodies of Iris and Grey.

Or rather, what was left of them.

Their bodies were cracked like shattered porcelain, bloodless, pale, broken beyond recognition. No breath, no soul, not even a flicker of lingering consciousness.

Completely erased from existence.

Ethan knelt, touching their corpses, examining them carefully.

“As expected of a Chaos Artifact… Just a fraction of its power was enough to destroy an emperor’s shadow and wipe out a Supreme Realm expert entirely. Not even soul fragments remained.”

Ethan exhaled slowly.

Then he removed their storage rings.

Inside were countless treasures—pills, rare materials, arcane weapons.

Even the incomplete stone tablet and a coffin belonging to a supreme powerhouse rested inside.

“A good harvest,” Ethan murmured, putting them away.

He took several steps—then abruptly froze.

A chill prickled his spine.

Ethan immediately checked the incomplete stone slab again. Nothing unusual. But when he opened the coffin inside the ring…

It was empty.

His eyes narrowed sharply.

“No. Where is the Supreme’s body?”

His gaze hardened instantly.

If Iris and Grey died, neither had time to hide the corpse.

Unless…

Unless they had done so long before the battle even began.

As he contemplated this, Ethan’s gaze slid sideways—toward Seraphina.

Seraphina felt his attention pierce through her chest like a blade. Her heart raced, scalp tingling. Without thinking, she turned to flee.

But—

“Seraphina,” Ethan’s voice boomed like thunder, “where are you going?”

Her entire body trembled violently.

Reason screamed at her to run.

Her legs refused to move.

She stood frozen as Ethan’s cold command followed:

“Come here.”

Seraphina’s fists clenched until her nails dug into her palms. She walked toward him like a prisoner walking toward her execution.

Ethan grabbed her neck in one swift motion.

“Did these two give you anything?” His voice was glacial.

“I—I… n-no!” Seraphina gasped, kicking her feet helplessly. Her face reddened as she struggled for breath.

Ethan did not bother arguing.

“Great Soul Searching Technique.”

A surge of mental energy invaded her mind. Fragments of memory flashed before Ethan’s eyes—her humiliation, her forced obedience, her acknowledgment of him as master, the Nine Ice Demon Holy Body…

Ethan sneered inwardly.

“So it really was the Ice Spirit Soul Body. No wonder everyone wanted a piece of her.”

He released her.

Seraphina collapsed to the ground, panting frantically. She had narrowly escaped death.

She rose shakily, ready to run—until Ethan’s cold words froze her in place.

“Did I say you could leave?”

Seraphina’s knees buckled.

“Brother Magnus, Brother Zeon—watch her.”

“No problem.” Zeon waved casually. A golden rope shot out and bound Seraphina instantly.

Ethan turned back to the corpses, his Heaven-piercing Mind Eyes opening fully.

His mental energy surged outward, sweeping across the valley, probing the earth.

Minutes passed.

Suddenly—his eyes sharpened.

He sensed something hundreds of meters underground.

A faint, flickering aura.

Like the glow of a spiritual treasure.

“So you want to run?”

Ethan vanished instantly, using the Five Elements Escape Technique.

The earth swallowed him whole.

He tore through stone and soil, diving deeper and deeper until—

There.

A weak nine-colored light glimmered in the darkness.

Ethan activated his holographic eye.

[Nine-Colored Soul living Bottle]

[Divine Spiritual Weapon (referred to as Divine artifact)]

[It has strong defensive power and a separate space. Its power can nourish and repair damaged souls, and a soul placed inside it can be immortalized forever!]
