Chapter 324: Chapter 324
Before, Ethan could jump directly to the fifth turn of Nirvana.

Now, breaking through only granted him two turns.

This was normal.

As cultivation deepened, the accumulation required was enormous. Even if the quantity seemed less, the quality of the tribulation far surpassed the past.

Even so, the sheer strength of these two stacked layers was many times greater than the five layers he had endured before.

“These Nirvana Pills are just right,” Ethan thought.

“I shouldn’t need to use the Chaos Clock.”

He exhaled slowly.

Then stood up.

A blue scythe appeared in his hand, its blade flickering with cold light.

RUMBLE—!

Two golden thunder dragons condensed in the sky, roaring as they descended like heavenly punishment.

Ethan narrowed his eyes. His gaze became sharp enough to pierce through the storm. Without hesitation, he leaped into the air, scythe held tightly, and clashed head-on with the thunder dragons.

…

A quarter of an hour passed.

The Nirvana Tribulation dispersed, the dark clouds fading as if they had never existed.

Ethan landed on the ground. His appearance was slightly messy, but his body was completely unscathed.

Above him, huge black chains materialized in the starry sky like an iron web—suppressing the Great Dao’s power.

Ethan raised his head, eyes reflecting the boundless night.

“One day,” he whispered, “I will break the shackles of this world.”

His voice was calm, but the determination inside it was absolute.

At that moment, delicate strands of white Dao aura drifted down from the heavens.

Ethan leaped to the peak of the mountain, sat cross-legged on a blue stone, and began absorbing the pure Great Dao baptism.

Day turned into night.

Night into dawn.

A full day and night passed before Ethan opened his eyes.

Morning light touched his face. The gentle breeze brushed past him, lifting the corners of his robe and hair. His eyes glimmered with newfound sharpness.

Seventh turn of Nirvana—achieved.

An immense surge of strength coursed through him.

He stood and inhaled deeply. The fresh morning air invigorated him.

Beyond the fifth turn of Nirvana, every new tribulation’s power increased exponentially. Without enough preparation, even a strong cultivator could die instantly under a triple-layered tribulation.

But if one survived…

The baptism of the Great Dao granted equally exponential growth.

Ethan sank his consciousness into his dantian.

Around the Original Pill, seven star tracks glowed brilliantly.

On the Original Pill itself, a dense white radiance appeared, already occupying two-thirds of its surface.

Divinity.

The transformation of original power into divine power.

Such divinity meant Ethan could possibly complete the transformation into divine power before even reaching the Supreme Realm.

He opened his palm.

Golden energy surged forth, mixed with strands of white aura.

Original power enhanced by divine power—this gave him crushing superiority over anyone below the Supreme Realm.

A dimensionality reduction strike.

And with this divine power, he could now use the Chaos Clock more freely.

Ethan raised his hand.

A small clock spun above his palm—dark gold, ancient, and containing unfathomable depth.

He infused original power into it.

Instantly, a terrifying force began to awaken.

The power spread slowly, but the pressure made even the air tremble.

Ethan’s original power drained rapidly.

“What a terrifying power…”

He quickly put the Chaos Clock away.

Then inhaled deeply—twice.

“It’s truly a divine artifact. Most people wouldn’t even be able to activate it once.”

He estimated he could activate it perhaps two times in a short period.

But even once was enough.

Ethan took an elixir and activated the Celestial Jade Physique Scripture, starting to restore his energy.

An hour later—

His eyes snapped open.

“They’re coming.”

Ashira’s talisman had trembled. Someone had moved.

Ethan’s body turned into a streak of light as he headed back toward Noble Sun City.

…

Noble Sun City.

Ashira slipped the scythe talisman into her sleeve.

She tracked Seraphina and her companions from afar, moving quietly as she followed them toward the city gate.

She had already sent a message to Senior Brother Ethan.

Now, she only needed to follow.

“These three people attract so much attention…” she murmured.

In front of the city gate, at least thirty different pairs of eyes watched Iris, Grey, and Seraphina.

Some hid on rooftops.

Others lurked behind stalls.

All watching.

All waiting.

Iris felt every stare, but her lips curled into a mocking smile.

She and Grey didn’t rush to leave the city. Instead, they casually sat down at a breakfast stall beside the gate.

“Sir, what would you like to eat?” the store owner asked nervously.

“Chicken soup with tofu,” Grey answered.

“Two bowls. Add coriander, sesame oil, and a little vinegar.”

“And two plates of steamed buns.”

“Alright, sir. Please wait.”

Seraphina stood behind them stiffly.

Cultivators didn’t need food—but Iris and Grey liked eating human cuisine. Along the journey, the two of them had tirelessly sampled everything that caught their attention.

Soon, breakfast arrived.

Seraphina sniffed the aroma and her throat moved involuntarily. She hadn’t eaten in a long time.

Though she didn’t need food, cravings were still cravings.

Grey saw her expression and snorted.

“Boss, another tofu soup and bun set.”

He pointed to a seat.

“Sit. You’ve behaved decently the past few days, so I’ll reward you.”

“Thank you, Master,” Seraphina said quietly as she sat.

Her voice carried no shame anymore. She had already become conditioned.

Grey sipped his soup, satisfied.

“Aunt Iris, when do we leave?”

“When Manager Lana arrives,” Iris answered.

“She has an Ice Spirit Soul Body—nearly perfect. We must take it. The hundred Spiritual Heart Stones we spent will be taken back from her.”

Her smile sharpened.

“Also, I left a mental imprint on the holy-grade spiritual technique we used to trade for the incomplete slab. The seller of the slab will come soon.”

She slowly lifted her hand.

A faint light glimmered as she took out the Compass of Heaven and Earth.

The pointer began to spin.

Faster…

Faster…

Until it suddenly slowed.

Then—

Eventually it points south.
