Chapter 871: It’s Time To Fulfil Your Dreams
Everyone stared, completely taken off guard all the way until Kafka wiped a tear from the corner of his eye and exhaled through a grin that was both bitter and oddly lighthearted.

“But you know what?” He said between laughs. “Even though I’m saying all that, I should probably be thanking you.”

The room blinked collectively.

“Yeah. You heard me.” He chuckled again, looking around at all of them. “I should thank you. Every single one of you.”

“Sure, the lies, the plans, the manipulation—it’s all a little too much. But let’s face it…without all this nonsense, I’d probably still be denying what I was feeling. I’d just keep burying it deeper and deeper until even I couldn’t recognize it anymore.”

“And who knows what kind of disaster that would’ve caused later on.”

He chuckled softly.

“So, in a way…I guess all that scheming, all those little deceptions—it all led to the best possible outcome. I really should thank every single one of you for that.”

Vanitas’s heart swelled at those words.

Abigaille wiped her eyes dramatically. “Aww, look at him being mature.” She teased softly.

Olivia smiled faintly. “He’s growing up.”

“See?” Camila folded her arms, grinning. “Told you he’d understand eventually.”

To that, Seraphina also gave him a happy nod.

“There’s no need to thank us, Master. We’re family. We just wanted to make Lady Vanitas happy…and, well, keep the world from exploding.”

That last line made everyone burst into laughter again, the tension melting away completely.

Kafka sighed, a wry smile still lingering as he then turned toward Vanitas, who was standing there dazed, still caught between disbelief, emotion, and pure adoration.

Slowly, he stepped closer to her until they were face-to-face.

For a moment, neither of them spoke. The air between them was warm, almost trembling with emotion.

Finally, Kafka spoke, his voice low and slightly shaky.

“What I said before…I meant it. I really am in love with you, Mom.”

Vanitas gasped softly, her eyes widening as a crimson flush spread across her face.

Kafka smiled awkwardly, finding it hard to look straight at her and went on to say,

“I don’t know when it started. Or how. But…there’s no doubt about it. I love you, Mom. And you don’t have to worry about me changing my mind or forgetting about it tomorrow. I’ve never been more certain about anything.”

Vanitas covered her mouth, tears pricking at her eyes. “Kafka…”

He continued, cheeks burning.

“But at the same time, even though I said that…I’m still trying to process it all. I just realized how I feel, and I’m only starting to understand it. So I might not be ready to…you know, fulfill your request right away.”

His words came out hesitant, nervous.

“It might take me a while. Maybe even longer than I expect. Until I can really come to terms with all of this. Is that…okay with you?”

Vanitas immediately nodded her head, her eyes soft and glistening.

“O-Of course, Kafka! Of course it’s okay!”

Her voice trembled with emotion as she continued.

“The fact that you even accepted my feelings…and that you said you love me, that alone is enough. More than enough. You’ve already made me the happiest woman in the world. No…”

She smiled through her tears.

“The happiest mother in the world.”

“Mom…” Kafka’s expression softened completely.

“I honestly don’t even care about the request anymore.” Vanitas laughed faintly through her tears. “I don’t care how long it takes. Just knowing that you feel the same way, that’s everything I ever wanted.”

Kafka frowned slightly.

“But what about the world? The request, your mental stability—aren’t those still a problem?”

But Vanitas shook her head with serene confidence.

“Not at all. Right now, I feel calm. Satisfied. Complete.”

She touched her chest gently.

“For the first time in forever, I feel at peace. Just hearing you say you love me gave me the strength I needed. I don’t feel that terrible pressure anymore.”

“So you don’t need to worry about me, Kafka.” She looked up at him with eyes full of love and understanding. “Take your time. Take as much as you need. I’ll wait. However long it takes, I’ll be here…waiting for you.”

Her words were so tender that Kafka felt his heart clench.

He smiled faintly, exhaling in relief.

“Thank you…really.”

Vanitas smiled back warmly, tears of happiness still shimmering in her eyes.

Seeing the two of them finally at peace made the rest of the group relax and smile as well.

The tension that had filled the air moments ago dissolved completely, replaced by a comforting warmth.

“Looks like it all worked out in the end.” Camila grinned, nudging Nina with her elbow.

“Hey! I never said it wouldn’t!.” Nina smirked and nudged her back.

“Oh, Liv! Our Kafi, he looks so happy! He looks so happy right now!” Abigaille started crying again as she witnessed the loving scene.

“He does…but I’d say that your the most happiest person right now with now much your crying, Abi.” Olivia smiled as she wiped away Abigaille’s tears.

Evangeline then folded her arms, her tone proud but affectionate as she proclaimed,

“Mission accomplished, everyone.”

“Yeah, yeah…Mission accomplished, alright” Kafka sighed, half laughing, half exasperated.

But just as everyone was basking in the satisfied glow of success—Vanitas suddenly frowned, then quickly smiled again—a mischievous glint in her eyes.

“But is it really mission accomplished?” She asked, her question causing a ripple of confusion through the group.

Everyone turned to her.

“Sure, my desire and my dream may have been achieved.” Vanitas continued, her gaze sweeping over every single one of them. “But on the other hand…” She paused dramatically. “…you girls are still left with one single desire, one single dream that you have been wanting ever since a very long time.”

“Can we really say that everything has been accomplished when you still haven’t been satisfied with your deepest desires?”

The girls exchanged bewildered glances; they didn’t know what she was speaking about. But before anyone could ask, Vanitas’s smirk widened into a grin.

“But don’t worry.” She declared. “Just like how you girls helped me accomplish my dream with Kafka, I’m going to do the same for you. And I’m going to make sure that you get exactly what you want today night.”

With startling swiftness, she raised her hand and snapped her fingers.

Suddenly, the beautiful garden vanished.

They were instantly transported back into the familiar, lavish bedroom where they all usually slept, dominated by a massive bed that could easily fit everyone.

Even more shocking, the girls found themselves wearing only lingerie and slightly naughty attire.

June was in black lace, Camila in vibrant silk, Nina in something restrictive yet alluring, and Seraphina was already looking impeccably lethal in a minimal white set.

A few girls gasped, covering themselves in embarrassment, while others, like Camila, boldly showed off their new outfits.

Vanitas’s voice resonated with absolute authority.

“Enough of holding back, now. Since all of you girls wish to have my son’s baby and since that’s your collective wish, then today it will be accomplished. There’s no way around it, and I will make sure it happens.”

She then walked swiftly toward Kafka, who was standing frozen in shock and confusion, and then gently tapped his forehead.

Suddenly, his eyes went cloudy for a second; the surprise vanished, replaced by a dazed, primal intensity.

Abigaille, standing tall in her black lingerie, couldn’t help but ask in a concerned manner.

“Vanitas, what was that? What did you do to Kafka? He looks like he’s been…shocked.”

Vanitas simply smiled, turning back to the group.

“Don’t worry about it. It’s just that…” Her voice dropped to a whisper. “…I’ve heard that from you lot Kafka has been holding back, making sure he hasn’t put any children in your bellies, correct?”

“Well, after what I just did, he won’t be able to hold back anymore. All his desires will come out into the open like a primal beast.”

She surveyed the room, her gaze promising a whirlwind.

“He’s won’t be able to hold back andeverything will be released. After this night, every single one of you will have a child.”

She announced, which made every single girl blush deeply.

“Well, now that I’ve accomplished my duty, I’ll leave you to him.” Vanitas said, walking toward the door. “And I hope he takes care of you just as much as you take care of him.”

She walked out with Evangeline following right after her as if she had no business being in that room.

But just as she stepped through the door, she snuck her head back one last time.

“And let me just tell you this ladies.” She warned, a serious glint in her eye. “Right now, Kafka is going to be one hell of a beast. He’s going to absolutely ravage you. So…”

“…ou might want to support each other if you want to survive.”

She closed the door, leaving the group with the beast that was quickly awakening.

—

On the other side of the door, Vanitas and Evangeline walked side by side down the corridor.

Vanitas looked towards Evangeline with a grateful gaze.

“Thank you for all that you’ve done Evangeline. Without you, none of this would have happened. You’ve been supporting me ever since the very beginning.” She said genuinely. “I really have to thank you for what you’ve done.”

Hearing this, Evangeline paused, staring at her for a moment with her usual stone-cold look on her face. Then, a faint blush crept up her neck and onto her cheeks.

“There’s…no need for thank you among family members.”

She muttered, slightly embarrassed by her own words.

This completely caught Vanitas off guard. She wasn’t expecting Evangeline of all people to say something so tenderly awkward.

And in response Vanitas blushed furiously.

But seeing Vanitas blush only made Evangeline herself blush even more deeply.

They continued to blush at each other until Evangeline couldn’t stand the mounting tension.

She coughed and instantly shifted the topic.

“Anyway, aren’t you going to join them?” Evangeline asked, gesturing back at the closed door. “Isn’t your desire to have his child first? Isn’t that the thing you’ve been waiting for so long?”

“It was before, yes, but not now.” Vanitas replied, shaking her head. “Right now, I’m just happy that my son has finally accepted me. I honestly don’t want anything else.”

She continued, leaning closer to Evangeline.

“It’ll also take quite a while for Kafka to get acclimated to the relationship, even with the nudge I just gave him. It’s not like I can just barge in and ask for a baby. Not to mention…” She lowered her voice again. “…I also don’t want the others to wait any longer.”

“They’ve already waited long enough, and they’ve done their best for me. I want to do this for them and let them have their chance. Let them bear his children first.”

Vanitas then grinned and looked down at her long time best friend and companion.

“What about you, Evangeline? Why are you following me? Shouldn’t you also be in that room down there? Shouldn’t you under the sheets with my son?”

To this, Evangeline let out a dismissive scoff.

“The whole world, and even the gods above, might be going after your son—but I am merely ensuring the order of this family, Lady Vanitas and it’s unlikely that I’ll over fall for someone as chaotic as him”

“Oh, really, Evangeline?”

Vanitas countered, her voice full of knowing disbelief, which made Evangeline stiffen.

“Fom what I’ve seen, that doesn’t really make sense. I mean, I’ve seen the way you look at my son, and I’ve known you for a very long time, so I know that gaze.”

“That is not the look of someone who doesn’t have any special affection for a certain person. The look in your eyes when you look at him so much more deeper then that.”

Evangeline stopped completely, her cheeks darkening to the color of ripe berries.

And then suddenly, with a sudden burst of speed, she flew away into the sky, not wanting to talk about this topic any longer.

But Vanitas wouldn’t let her go. She laughed, chasing after her.

“Come on, Evangeline, come on! Let’s talk about it even more!”

Evangeline simply ignored her, flying faster.

“Please leave me alone!”

Vanitas laughed harder.

“I won’t! I won’t! I just want to know what you feel about my son! Hey—don’t try to escape!”

And just like that, the two gods flew high toward the moon, bickering with one another like sisters would do, leaving Kafka and the girls to do what they needed to do.
