Chapter 179: Ch 179 : Mistakes?
Adam, the referee, floated serenely at the center of the arena, a calm anchor in a sea of anticipation. A gentle, knowing smile touched his lips.

“Before we begin the next round,” his voice boomed, a sound that was both a gentle whisper and a cosmic thunderclap, reaching every soul in the assembly, “let us have a break. For one month, all contestants, both demigod and mortal, shall rest and prepare.”

A collective, universe-spanning groan of disappointment erupted from the stands. Trillions of voices, united in their desire for entertainment, booed on the this announcement.

It was a sound that could have shaken even DemiGods to their core. But Adam simply laughed, a warm, genuine sound that seemed to carry the weight of a billion years.

This was not disrespect. This was passion. He knew that lifeforms who were this open, this emotionally invested, who could boo a God one moment and pray to him the next, were the very wellspring from which the most potent faith was born.

This tournament wasn’t just about finding the strongest; it was about igniting faith in the very soul of the lifeforms, a grand move orchestrated by the emperor watching from his high throne.

Sunny wanted this lifeforms to know, who their emperor was. Who should they pray to.

This wouldn’t mean that they would forsake their own gods, it means that these lifeforms can have faith in both God Cosmos and their own creator God.

‘What a beautiful move,’ Adam praised Sunny inwardly. He then closed his eyes, his ancient talent, a subtle and profound ability to read the collective desires of a crowd, washing over him.

He felt the boredom of the Gods, their minds craving distraction after months of focused observation.

He felt the burning ambition of the champions, their bodies and souls aching for a place to train, to sharpen their skills for the coming battles. He smiled. He could give them what they wanted.

With a simple, elegant wave of his hand, the arena shook. But it was not a tremor of destruction; it was the vibration of creation.

From the vast, empty plains surrounding the central stage, structures erupted from the ground. Gleaming skyscrapers of crystal and starlight, so tall they seemed to scrape the clouds, materialized in an instant.

Golden, sandy beaches, complete with gently lapping waves and a warm, radiant sun, unfolded like a celestial carpet.

Coliseums, training grounds, and meditation gardens, each one imbued with a fraction of the arena’s own epiphany-granting magic, blossomed across the landscape.

For the Gods, an amusement park, a playground, grand theaters, and zero-gravity pools appeared. For the warriors, a paradise of endless challenge.

“Enjoy your day off,” Adam whispered, and then his form dissolved, teleporting back to his own, newly acquired planet.

His world was a blank canvas, a pristine sphere of fertile earth and clean water, waiting for the touch of its creator.

He felt a pang of loneliness, a familiar ache from a million years of solitude. But it was overshadowed by a profound sense of purpose. “One month of planetary time,” he mused, a spark of creative fire in his eyes. “More than enough.”

He didn’t need a primordial spark. He didn’t need to painstakingly guide evolution over eons.

He was Adam, the God of Growth, the firstborn of the Void. He simply held out a hand, and with a soft snap of his fingers, the very Law of Life bent to his will.

The oceans of his world began to teem, not with simple microbes, but with complex, fully formed aquatic life.

The forests, which had just been silent collections of trees, now echoed with the calls of a thousand different species of birds and beasts. “A piece of cake,” he said, as the work of eons for other Gods completed in a mere moment by him.

Just as he was admiring his handiwork, a shimmering portal tore open beside him, and Sunny stepped through. “Oh, so here you are,” Sunny said, his voice a mix of curiosity and amusement as he took in the instantly-teeming world. “Why didn’t you just take some creatures from one of our planets?”

“No need,” Adam replied with a proud smile. “It is because od one of my talents. It is called ‘Blessed Creator’.”

“Oh?” Sunny’s interest was immediately piqued. His intuition, a subtle but insistent guide, was humming, telling him this was important.

“What kind of talent? It sounds fun.” He said and then added, with a sigh, “If you don’t want to share, it’s still okay,” a masterful, if slightly shameless, bit of emotional blackmail.

Adam chuckled. “It is no secret. You already know of my innate talent, so this is no great matter.” With a thought, he transferred the information directly through Thea’s network.

[Talent Name: Blessed Creator]

[Grade: SS]

[Description: A creator does not wish for his creations to die.

This talent imbues all lifeforms you personally create with a powerful boost to all their stats, both physical and magical.

All your creations will provide an enhanced amount of faith, and they will be born with an innate, unbreakable loyalty and knowledge of their creator.

Their evolution and progression towards their peak potential will be drastically accelerated.]

‘He still has a talent like this?’ Sunny thought, his mind immediately calculating the terrifying synergy.

‘Overgrowth removes the limits, and this talent helps them reach that broken limit at an impossible speed. A perfect combination.’ He looked at the old God with a newfound sense of awe.

“How many such talents do you possess?” Sunny asked, his eyes, hidden behind the mask, focused intently on Adam.

“Not much,” Adam said nonchalantly, as if discussing the weather. “Around four hundred and sixty-seven SS-Grade talents.”

The number hit Sunny like a physical blow. He, who had felt so proud of his own growing collection, was a mere novice.

“If you want to copy any of the talent, I can transfer the details about each of them ” Adam added with a smile.

“How… did you know?” Sunny asked, his voice a quiet whisper. The truth he had been hiding, was now out in the open.

“That you have been copying talents?” Adam’s smile was gentle, without a hint of accusation. “It is easy to guess, when one knows what to look for. The talent of Strategist, a fragment of my own, and the abilities of your demigods… I can feel them on you, a faint echo. I do not know if your use is permanent or temporary, but it matters little.”

He looked at Sunny, his ancient eyes seeing not just a new God, but a vessel for something far greater. “The Mother Void has chosen you, Cosmos. She has given you the blessing of Manifestation Affinity, a gift she has not bestowed since the dawn of time. She clearly has high hopes for you.” He paused, his gaze drifting to the stars of his new world.

“Perhaps,” he whispered, a profound, ancient hope in his voice, “you are the one who will finally correct her mistakes.”
