Chapter 970: Going Out
A few hours earlier, Shane was inside the pocket dimension of the Fairy Realm.

He really liked every bit of time he could stay here…

The atmosphere was just different from the Zombie Apocalypse World outside…

It was thick with Spirit Energy, fragrant with herbs, and it felt alive with so many fairies around.

The fields were huge, and they were also filled with so many crops to harvest.

Fairy Axis, the caretaker of this realm, floated beside him, her wings shimmering like crystal shards.

“Boss Shane,” Axis said softly, “I’ve already harvested most of the Spirit Herbs. The reserves are stored safely in the crystal vault.”

Shane nodded while surveying the fields. Rows of crops swayed gently, each one infused with mana… This would surely help his people once again.

There were Spirit Wheat, Moongrain rice, Starleaf beans, and Sunroot tubers. Beside them grew rarer plants like Razorleaf cabbage with its edges sharp enough to cut skin.

Glowroot carrots, glowing faintly in the soil… Thunderbolt peppers that were a bit too spicy and had to be toned down by Alchemists, and also some Ironhide pumpkins with their shells as hard as steel.

Shane crouched, brushing his hand over the crops.

“This place… Felt a lot bigger than before.” Shane muttered.

“I think you just got stronger, Boss Shane… Just keep getting stronger and you will make this place even bigger! You might even be able to unlock other things here! Right, I think I can go out now with you!”

“Really?” Shane asked as he looked at Axis!

“Yes! As long as I’m close to the World Tree that you have in your world, I will be just fine…” Axis replied.

“That World Tree isn’t a tree yet… It’s still a plant though… I’m also moving it around depending on where the Elves are concentrated.” Shane replied.

“It’s fine! I like moving around!” Axis replied.

“Fine… Let’s go out together later. But who will take care of this place?” Shane asked.

“We have many Fairies here already! They can take care of this place! I already taught them what to do. But in case of emergency, I can use your energy and connection to the realm and return quickly. But I have to wait for you before being able to go out of this realm.” Axis explained.

Shane finally nodded as he also wanted Axis to explore the world outside. It must be boring to live in this place every day. Even if it was safe and filled with energy, Axis should have had some vacation as well.

He then turned his attention to the center of the realm where the World Tree stood. It seemed to have grown taller with its branches stretching wide almost covering the sky.

Shane approached reverently, kneeling at its roots.

He closed his eyes and prayed, channeling his Spirit Energy into the tree.

The World Tree responded as expected…

Soon, its leaves moved, and a gentle breeze carried down gifts. They were World Tree leaves, branches, fruits, and even another World Tree seed.

Shane held the seed in his palm…

‘Another seed? I guess it’s fine… But should I plant it in Blue Haven?’ he mused.

‘If I do, the shelter will have its own source of Mana and Spirit Energy… but it may also draw attention.’

Axis tilted her head. “What are you thinking, Boss Shane? Ahhh… Are you worried? The seed is powerful. It will bless the land, but it will also mark it. Enemies will sense it… right?”

Shane nodded and stored the seed in his inventory together with the branches, leaves, and fruits.

“I’ll take care of it… Even if it attracts trouble, it should be just fine. I can defend it.” He muttered.

Later, Shane ventured toward the mysterious cave at the edge of the realm.

Its entrance pulsed with red light as always, and it still felt really dangerous.

Nonetheless, Shane didn’t go far. He didn’t want to be forcefully evicted once again after all.

He only went there just enough to collect several Red Mana Crystals that jutted from the walls like rough gems.

“Do it quickly…” Axis warned. She knew what had happened before, so she was a bit worried.

Shane nodded, slipping the crystals into his inventory. He had no intention of staying here for a long time…

Soon, he went back to the World Tree’s clearing, and this time, he approached the shining lake. Its surface reflected the sky, and beneath it swam creatures unlike any found in the mortal world.

He cast his line, and soon pulled up an Emberfin trout… It had red scales glowing like embers and as always, they were definitely delicious…

Although they were already growing them in the ponds within the Eclipse Domain and Springriver Manor, the ones grown here still tasted a lot better…

Then, there was also Silver Fish, the Misty Koi that was trailing fog as it flopped onto the shore, and finally, Shane got several Troll Catfish…

By the time he was done, he had caught a few hundred, enough for the people in the Blue Haven to have a bite and perhaps some others for fish farming…

Axis clapped her hands lightly.

“You fish like a hunter, Boss Shane. The lake is super generous to you.”

Shane smiled faintly. “Generous, yes… but I suspect it’s because it knows I’ll use them well.”

He said with a chuckle…

Then, focusing his telekinesis, Shane extended his will into the depths of the lake.

The water rippled as hundreds of Mana Crystals rose from the bottom, floating into the air before settling neatly into piles along the shore.

In just a few moments, Shane collected hundreds of top-quality Mana Crystals…

“With these resources, Blue Haven will rise faster than any of my shelter…” Shane mused as he stored them all in his inventory…

Shane then passed the remaining time in this realm while sleeping, as it just felt too good to be completely relaxed here.

Soon, Axis woke him up and reminded him of the time…

“Alright… Let’s go, Axis. Carry this seed for now.” Shane said as he handed the seed to Axis. He also planned to let her find a spot in the Blue Haven to plant this seed.

“Yey!” Axis celebrated as she hugged the World Tree Seed that she had never touched before.
