Chapter 366: Chapter 366 – Annihilation in the Storm
Atlas could now control far more crystal shards than before. In total, thirty-two rotated wildly around his body. He shot through the air at high speed, dodging every attack from the jellyfish monster while sending shards crashing down from above.

The monster split its focus between attacking Elyndra and attacking Atlas, unleashing one powerful ability after another and shifting its targets constantly.

When massive lightning bubbles appeared around the creature, dozens of them at once, Atlas immediately sent his crystal shards flying. They struck the bubbles and burst them apart quickly.

Elyndra kept firing magic missiles nonstop at the monster as well.

A loud roar echoed as four massive cannon-like blasts formed around the creature’s body and fired in all directions.

Atlas and Elyndra flew fast as the cannons swept across the sky, chasing them.

They were incredibly fast. Atlas could not outrun them, only dodge at the last second as the huge beams chased him relentlessly.

Another attack pattern ended. Atlas continued sending his crystal shards at the monster, though without a specific skill the shards simply struck its body without dealing meaningful damage.

The lightning jellyfish shifted its tentacles and suddenly dashed, teleporting to a different position in the sky.

Atlas and Elyndra dove and kept launching attacks at the creature from afar.

A sharp roar echoed again as the monster released lightning in every direction.

Elyndra flew upward and formed a massive protective cube around the monster, trapping the lightning blasts inside. She held the barrier with great strength until the final explosion blasted against her and sent her flying back at high speed.

“Elyndra!” Atlas shouted loudly.

But when he saw the girl flap her wings and rise again, he knew she was still alright.

Atlas had to find the chance to activate his ultimate attack. But before that moment came, they needed to keep forcing the monster to fire its abilities again and again until an opening appeared.

The problem was that this creature seemed to have an endless set of magic spells. It unleashed magic nonstop without ever showing signs of slowing down.

At one moment it roared and detonated the entire area with waves of lightning. Then came cannons, then lightning bubbles, then volleys of magic missiles scattering across the sky.

Getting close to it was nearly impossible. The only advantage was that the monster itself had poor mobility. It moved slowly, and although it could teleport, it did so rarely, suggesting the cooldown made it inefficient.

Then, as Atlas dodged explosion after explosion in the air, he suddenly found himself trapped. Dozens of magic bubbles surrounded him at once.

Elyndra darted toward him and cloaked both of them inside a protective shield sphere.

Explosion after explosion erupted around them until blinding light filled the entire sky.

The monster was firing attacks from every direction.

Elyndra, floating in front of Atlas, coughed blood as she forced herself to hold the barrier against such overwhelming power.

“Elyndra?” he said.

“I can handle it.”

They remained inside the protective sphere for several seconds while the outside world shook with constant blasts. Then, finally, the barrier shattered and the two of them were thrown down, slamming into the ground together.

Another massive lightning cannon formed immediately and shot toward them.

Atlas and Elyndra had no time to speak. They just flew apart as fast as possible to dodge the attack.

The monster’s assaults were unbelievably powerful and deadly.

But at that moment, Atlas sensed something. The opening was coming.

The monster showed a slight delay before its next skill.

Atlas used Magnetic Step skills several times and shot through the air to dodge, this time using the shadow tendrils as additional hands.

[Epic – Terra Pulse Annihilation (Active Skill) activated.]

He pulled all thirty-two Earth Crystals toward his palm, where they spun violently, and the two shadow tendril limbs moved with him, helping restrain the chaotic energy gathering in his hand.

Atlas rushed through the sky while charging the skill. This attack would be far stronger than the last time. He was using thirty-two Earth Crystals now. But it would also deal brutal damage to his own arm.

Fortunately, the shadow tendrils reduced the drawback a lot.

Atlas grit his teeth hard as the muscle fibers in his right arm continued to tear with every second. He dodged the monster’s attacks again and again while charging the ability, his movements sharp and fast.

Elyndra flew on the opposite side, launching a constant barrage of magic missiles from afar.

Atlas kept circling the monster from afar, dodging again and again as it unleashed repeated magic spells across the entire sky. Its abilities were truly overwhelming.

Magic cannons blasted outward in every direction, lightning bubbles spread rapidly, magic missiles filled the air, and Elyndra held them back as best as she could. But Atlas could see she would not last much longer. He had to end this now.

Another massive barrage of explosions erupted around the monster, and Atlas knew this was the opening.

He clenched his teeth and shot forward at full speed. This was do or die. He had to land the strike.

At that moment, Elyndra swooped in from behind, grabbing him around the waist and helping propel them both forward toward the monster with a burst of speed.

Atlas grit his teeth, no longer feeling the pain as the massive coiling energy in his hand surged. He thrust the charged magic toward the monster.

Yes. This was the perfect moment.

Time stopped.

Atlas saw the magic sphere touch the monster’s body. And then…

Everything exploded at once as Atlas was thrown backward along with Elyndra, both of them sent flying violently through the air.

In that instant, Atlas felt the effect of the Demonic Reaper fade from his body, returning him to his normal form.

They crashed to the ground, rolling and bouncing uncontrollably. The earth itself could not soften the impact as they were thrown far across the field. They separated mid-flight, each smashing through thick tree trunks.

Atlas finally stopped after slamming back-first into a massive tree, landing in a sitting position against its base.

His vision blurred, his breath unsteady… but through the haze he saw the system message glowing before him.

He had defeated the monster.

Atlas was still gasping for air, his body feeling as if it were being pulled down into the ground, ready to collapse into unconsciousness. But he could not faint here. He could not run out of stamina now. He had to stay awake. The battle was not over.

He pushed himself up and staggered toward Elyndra, who lay on her side on the ground.

He shook her gently and turned her body over. “Elyndra!” he said, watching her closely.

At last she opened her eyes. She had used an incredible amount of energy, and she had taken the brunt of countless attacks so Atlas could land that final heavy strike.

Atlas helped her sit up, looking at her expressionless face. Then she gave a faint, tired smile.

“We defeated it,” she whispered.

Atlas nodded slowly. “Yes… we defeated that monster.”

Elyndra leaned closer and embraced him. “I was so scared,” she said in a raw, trembling voice. “The attack was so strong. I was afraid I could not protect you. I was afraid I would fail my task.”

It might have been the first time Atlas ever heard Elyndra speak so openly.

Atlas returned the embrace. “You did your job extremely well. You even helped me deliver the attack at the very last moment.”

They stayed like that for a short moment while Atlas looked out toward the distant battlefield.

The other two field boss monsters had also been defeated by Edrik and the others. Now the question was whether these three monsters would be enough for Atlas to secure the two monster cores they needed.

At that moment Atlas finally felt the sharp pain in his arm. “Argh…” he reacted quietly.

Elyndra immediately loosened her embrace and checked his right arm. Atlas looked as well, and he froze.

The outer layer of muscle was completely torn. Nearly a third of the surface of his arm looked destroyed from the attack he released.

“My lord, I will heal your wound,” she said.

But Atlas knew better. Elyndra had already used nearly all her Mana and Stamina during the battle, and he could see it clearly in her pale face and the way her hands trembled weakly.

Atlas gently stopped her hand.

In the distance, Edrik was sprinting toward them, teleporting repeatedly until he appeared a short distance away.

“What about the monster cores?” Atlas asked.

Before Edrik could answer, Atlas saw Dullorak in the distance finally stop his lightning attack and descend to the ground.

That alone was enough of an answer.

They had secured the two monster cores they needed.

The battle was over, and they had won – decisively.
