Chapter 563: Laser of Judgment
BOOM!

A blinding laser burst from the chest of Efan’s colossal mech—an intense bluish-white beam that ripped through the dark skies. It struck the giant gorilla square in the chest, forcing the beast back with a thunderous roar.

One second—its muscles held firm.

Two seconds—it began to stagger.

And on the third second—its thick hide melted like wax under a blowtorch. A deafening explosion erupted, shaking the ground beneath Efan’s feet. Flaming chunks of flesh were flung into the air, leaving behind the scorched remains of what had once been a monstrous titan.

Inside the cockpit, Efan allowed himself a thin, satisfied smile.

Assault-Type 07 Armor—one of his favorites. Sleek in design, but packed with raw, brutal force. Expensive, sure—but worth every damn second.

His fingers danced across the controls, swiftly pulling levers and tapping panels. Dozens of data windows floated around him, projecting real-time visuals of the battlefield—hundreds of monsters on every side. Some resembled winged drakes. Others were mechanical insectoids. And a few had humanoid shapes—muscular bodies with horned heads and gleaming armor.

[Analyzing…]

[Target priority: Maximum threat potential…]

[Target locked. Channeling energy to main weapon.]

The mechanical voice echoed calmly through the cockpit. On the screen, the system mapped out attack trajectories, energy consumption ratios, and projected blast radii—all within seconds.

Every shot had to count. This armor guzzled energy like a beast. A single misfire would be an unforgivable waste.

[Judgment Laser charging. Estimated time: 5 seconds…]

Efan inhaled deeply, posture tightening.

He zoomed in on the camera feed, the view shifting to show the horde of monsters from behind his mech—like a god of war staring down a swarm of ants.

“Goodbye,” he whispered.

The countdown appeared on the panel:

3…

2…

1…

Suddenly, dozens of massive magic circles materialized behind the mech. Runes spun along their edges, glowing with an expanding azure light.

Then—beams erupted.

Not one. Not two. But dozens of high-powered lasers surged forth, scorching through the battlefield like divine retribution. The ground split. The air hissed into vapor. And the monsters before Efan were vaporized in an instant—their bodies torn apart before they could even scream.

[Kill confirmed: Whitefang Bat – EXP +180]

[Kill confirmed: Red-Winged Centipede (Tier 2) – EXP +7500]

[Kill confirmed: Armored Humanoid – EXP +490]

[…]

The kill log flooded his interface—rows upon rows of EXP numbers and enemy names pouring in like unrelenting rain.

But Efan didn’t even blink.

His grin widened.

His hand tightened around the firing lever—firm and unrelenting.

[Warning: Energy at 50%]

[Warning: Energy at 30%]

[Warning: Energy below 20%. Insert backup fuel source immediately!]

The system’s voice grew louder, more insistent. But Efan simply narrowed his eyes, gaze fixed on the remaining horde ahead.

“Still not enough…” he murmured under his breath. “I’m not done yet.”

He paused the barrage. The main panel now showed energy levels nearing zero.

Calmly, he slid one interface aside and opened the fuel injection menu. His left hand reached toward a specialized slot. A gleaming Tier-3 Energy Crystal floated from his belt, sliding into the core processor with a soft hum.

The response was immediate.

[Energy source detected. Beginning recharge…]

“Good,” Efan muttered, eyes cold as ice as he watched the next wave of monsters advance—massive creatures, eyes glowing with savage fury, fangs bared like beasts drunk on bloodlust.

“You don’t even deserve to dream of breathing…”

The scene before him looked like a spiked hurricane—hundreds of monsters charging in formation, like the tip of a monstrous spear. They weren’t just a random horde anymore. They had become something more: a death legion.

“Switch to Cannon Mode.” His voice was low, but resolute.

[Switching weapon system to Cannon Mode…]

[Main cannon preheating: 10%… 50%… 80%…]

Behind his mech, a massive electric orb began to form. Iron rings spun rapidly around it, grinding with magnetic force, spitting sparks as they accelerated. Second by second, a ten-meter cannon emerged from the structure—its silhouette monstrous, its presence like the birth of an apocalyptic beast.

BOOM!

KA-THOOM!

The first shot tore the sky apart, launching a high-powered projectile straight into the horde. Flesh exploded. Limbs scattered. The second blast followed. Then the third. Each detonation rocked the floating island beneath them.

[Kill confirmed: Steel-Backed Dinosaur – EXP +8200]

[Kill confirmed: Horned Stone Man – EXP +4100]

[…]

The notifications kept flooding in—but Efan paid them no mind. He didn’t care about the numbers.

What he savored… was the sound of destruction.

The thunder of explosions.

The hiss of scorched earth.

The grotesque beauty of bodies bursting open like rotten flowers forced to bloom.

The sky above darkened—not with nightfall, but with the choking smog of war. The entire island was sinking into chaos, and it was all his doing.

And yet, the devastation Efan unleashed… was nothing compared to what was happening in Lein’s domain.

Where Lein stood… there was nothing.

The land had vanished—shattered into colossal voids that seemed to pierce straight into the world’s molten heart. But amid the floating debris of what used to be solid ground, Lein stood calm atop a hovering slab of earth. His cloak fluttered in the windless air. His expression was flat, unshaken.

Below him, his soul beasts were locked in battle—fighting tooth and claw against a horde of early-stage Resonance-class monsters.

Giant apes.

Each one of them was a manifestation of Lein’s soul, radiant white and towering at over a hundred meters. Their luminous bodies gleamed like polished steel, and every movement—every swing, every roar—shook the heavens themselves.

With a single swipe of their massive arms, dozens of enemies were obliterated. The ground splintered. The air cracked. And their foes… were reduced to nothing but dust.

Lein watched in silence from above. Cold. Still. But behind those eyes, the calculations never ceased.

“This isn’t enough.”

“I’ve yet to see anything worthy of being called a threat.”

The chaos raged on across the void, but for Lein and his soul beasts, this battlefield was merely the prologue to something far greater.

On the other side of the broken landscape, a blood-red ape—smaller, only ten meters tall—moved with terrifying agility. Its lean, muscular frame pulsed with energy, glowing veins visible beneath crimson skin.
