- FLASH MARRIAGE; CHARMED BY THE RUTHLESS BILLIONAIRE CEO
- Chapter 448 - 448 Congratulations
448: Congratulations 448: Congratulations Henry and Sarah remained indoors for most of the day, wrapped in each other’s warmth and love, until evening.
After a warm bath together, they got dressed and finally left the cabin to join the rest of the family for dinner €“ their hands intertwined, and their cheeks glowing.
The entire family were already seated by the dinner table on the deck, engaged in subtle conversation amid the clinking of cutlery when the couple showed up.
All eyes turned to them, each one masking their hidden excitement as Henry cleared his throat, holding their expectant stares.
“Um… everyone….
Sarah and I have an announcement to make.” Sarah’s fingers tightened around Henry’s, her heart pounding wildly in her chest with happiness.
Judith stole an excited glance at her husband, tears blurring her vision.
And in return, Hilary took her trembling hand into his and squeezed it softly as they both waited breathlessly for the announcement they had been waiting for months to hear.
“I want to start by thanking everyone here for accommodating me despite my memory loss.
And I want to thank this beautiful angel standing beside me for accepting me and loving me unconditionally.” “Aww!” Amelia cupped her mouth, and Blaze pulled her closer to his arms, as tears streamed down her face.
“After a heart-to-heart conversation,” Henry said, his voice warm yet nervous.
“I asked Sarah to marry me.” “And I said yes,” Sarah blurted out, unable to hold it in any longer.
Instantly, the deck exploded with cheers and jubilation, amid shouts of congratulations to the couple.
“Bring out the best wine,” Hillary called out.
“My daughter is finally going to be married.” “Oh Lord, thank you for answering all my prayers.” Judith cried hugging her husband.
“Congratulations, brother.” Blaze stood up and hugged Henry so hard his bones nearly cracked.
“This is the best decision you’ve ever made.” “Oh my darling…my princess…” Judith pulled Sarah into her arms in a tender embrace.
“… I am so blessed… blessed beyond words!” “Thank you, mum.” Sarah hugged her back tightly, tears of joy streaming down her flushed cheeks.
“Congratulations, my children.” Amos and his wife came forward to embrace them amid tears.
“It still feels like I’m living in a dream,” Zia said wiping her tears.
“Soon I’m going to be a grandmother.” Everyone burst into laughter, while cheering the couple on.
“So….” Hillary clapped her hands, pulling everyone’s attention towards him.
“When is the wedding?
Have you two picked a date?” “Umm…” Henry turned to Sarah, letting her decide.
“Tomorrow evening.” Sarah breathed out without a moment of hesitation.
“Tomorrow!” Judith’s hands flew to her mouth.
“Ahhhhh!” Amelia squealed, hugging her husband.
“Yes…” Sarah nodded her head holding Henry’s magical gaze.
“I want to be married tomorrow evening at the island where we shared our first Christmas together and where the magic all started.
I’ve waited for so long to be Mrs Gordon and I don’t want to wait any longer.” Henry’s heart swelled with love as he leaned forward and kissed her before the entire family.
“Tomorrow it is.” Blaze clapped his hands excitedly.
“Just leave the planning to my co-pilot and me.” He said planting a kiss on the back of Amelia’s hand.
“We’ve got this covered.” “Don’t forget the chief bride maid, Uncle Blaze.” Annabelle chirped from behind.
“Or the stand-in best man,” Michael announced proudly.
“Of course…” Blaze wasted no time delegating different tasks while pacing like a commander in battle.
“Baby, you will handle the florist, the wedding dress, accessories and makeup.” “On it,” Amelia replied, already dialling a celebrity florist number in the city.
“Michael, send an immediate wedding invite to all our families and friends tell them to converge at the island.” “Yes, boss.” “I’m handling the wedding cake and food,” Judith announced proudly.
“And I will be in charge of the gifts.” Hillary stood tall and proud.
“Awesome!” Blaze turned to Eugene.
“Come with me.
I need to speak with the captain to dock at the nearest port.
Blaze said, while contacting his pilot.
******* The next day evening….
The island breeze was warm and sweet, carrying the scent of fresh roses, hibiscus and orchids.
As the sun began to dip low, painting the horizon in rose-gold, guest all donned in immaculate white arrived at the island in their private jet and cruise.
Inside the beach house, soft laughter and feminine chatter filled the room.
Sarah sat before the huge mirror as her mother, Amelia, Annabelle, and a team of stylists fluttered around her like excited angels.
Her mermaid wedding gown shimmered like liquid pearls under the light.
It fitted perfectly to her body, accentuating her curves and flaring softly at the knees with layers of lace that looked like waves kissing the shore.
Tiny crystals scattered along the bodice, giving her the glow of a fairytale princess about to walk the aisle.
Judith clasped her hands together, tears already forming.
“You look so gorgeous my baby.” She whispered, her voice trembling.
“Thank you, mum.
You look beautiful too.” Amelia, struggling to zip the gown through her tears, sniffed softly.
“Are you crying?” Sarah stared at her cousin through the mirror.
“Don’t mind me.” Amelia’s voice cracked.
“I’m just so happy.
This is a dream come true for me and I am a sucker for love.
You look so beautiful.” “Thank you,” Sarah said, patting Amelia’s hand, their eyes looking.
“You are my hero.” Amelia leaned forward and kissed Sarah on the cheek.
“And you are mine.” After the hairstylist pinned the final pearl comb into Sarah’s hair, letting her soft waves fall around her shoulders like sunlight on water, the makeup artist did her finishing touches.
“You are a goddess, bestie.” Annabelle cooed, gushing over her.
“You’re perfect,” Amelia whispered.
“Henry won’t be able to take his eyes off you.” Judith beamed, clapping her hands.
Sarah stared at her reflection and felt her throat tighten slightly.
“This is really happening.” She whispered.
After everything €“the pain, the loss, the fear, and the separation €“ she was looking at herself dressed as Henry’s bride.
“This is really happening, Mom.” Sarah’s eyes shimmered with threatening tears.
Judith took her hand and gently stroked it.
“You deserve all the happiness this world has to offer because you are a survivor.
I am so proud of you, my angel.” Sarah blinked back her tears.
“Thank you Mom.” Her gaze swept across everyone in the room.
“Thank you all for never giving up on me.” Just then, a soft knock on the door interrupted the tender moment.
“It’s time,” Annabelle whispered excitedly.
“Everyone quickly get dressed.” Judith snapped and everyone swung into action.
