Chapter 480: Auction Start
These rooms were equipped with formations to keep the identity of bidders private. The guests in private rooms could see the people sitting in the hall but they couldn’t see the private room guests.

Orion also went ahead and sat on the central sofa beside Nyss and looked outside the glass panel. The hall was slowly being filled by people but there was still no sign of the auctioneer.

He turned his head and asked the ladies standing behind the two of them, “How long until the auction starts?”

One of them took a step forward and respectfully replied, “It will begin in about 20 minutes sir.”

He nodded his head and didn’t ask further. Nyss also quietly sat beside him, lost in her own thoughts.

Orion checked his own inventory to see how many mana crystals he had left, ‘Hmm, still have around 500,000 High Grade Mana Crystals. Do you think they will be enough for this auction Lumi?’

[Hard to say. We don’t know what will be on the auction and what the prices will be like. Well even if we are short on cash, isn’t there a rich big sister beside you? Just ask her for some money, don’t be embarrassed! You need more sugar mommies if you want to go far on the cultivation path! (⁎˃ᴗ˂⁎)]

Orion rolled his eyes, ‘Do you only think about these things all day?’

[Hehe but I’m not lying. You haven’t spent much time learning Alchemy or other money making professions, so if you won’t rely on others for resources then where will you get them from?]

He crossed his arms across his chest and fell in deep thought. For so long, he had been trying his best to learn combat techniques or mastering his existing abilities. He had mostly overlooked the auxiliary professions since he wasn’t in need of money until now.

At the capital, he just needed to ask and his grandparents would give him money for him to spend. But clearly it won’t be a long-term plan, when he reaches the same level as his grandparents then they won’t be able to help him even if they want to.

Now, he needed to seriously consider his future direction. He turned his head slightly to look at Nyss with a strange expression. ‘Should I look for suga—’ He hurriedly shook his head to get rid of unnecessary thoughts.

‘I killed a lot of demons in that battle. Those should fetch a good price. Even if most of the demons I killed were low level but the quantity was sufficient.’

Lumi thought for a while and agreed with his words but still said,

[It would be enough for now probably. But what will you do in the future? You can’t just keep killing the demons right? Otherwise I fear those Paragons or even Supreme Paragon level Demon Commanders will start to hunt you down.]

He took a deep breath and made up his mind, ‘I will learn those side professions seriously then. Anyways I have the inheritance ground and my talent is decent. I won’t take long to learn it and I can create a lot of stuff to sell here. Oh and this reminds me, I haven’t asked about what happened to the sale of those demon corpses.’

Turning his head back towards her, he softly asked, “Nyss, what happened to the demon corpses? Did you find a reliable buyer?”

Nyss came out of her thoughts before nodding her head, “Yes, I already found a good buyer. This establishment is from the Sky Shattering Empire and one of the oldest firms there so they are trustworthy.” Saying so, she took out a storage ring and handed it to him, “These are the Mana Crystals I got after selling all the corpses. And I also made a deal with them, from now on, we will sell all the demon corpses that we kill to them and in turn they will let us buy the resources from the Empire at a discounted rate.”

She said everything in one breath, and it was probably more than what she had said since morning.

Orion listened to her and nodded his head, taking the storage ring, “That’s good, we will discuss more about this after returning to the manor.”

He swept his will over the ring to check the total mana crystals. Inside lay over 5 million High Grade Mana Crystals. His eyes widened as he saw the windfall that happened out of nowhere.

He couldn’t help but curse under his breath looking at so much money, “Fuck they are worth that much money?”

Nyss calmly said, “Tier 9 demons are worth 100,000 High Grade Mana Crystals, Tier 8 demons are worth 50,000 and Tier 7 demons are worth 10,000. It is the same for lower level demons but instead of High Grade Mana Crystals it’s Common Grade and Lesser Grade Mana Crystals. I had them change all the mana crystals into High Grade Mana Crystals.”

He slowly nodded his head, still lost in the happiness of becoming rich all of a sudden. He softly asked, “What about the legion members? Have they gotten the legion points for the demons they killed? And have they started to claim the resources from the mansion?”

“Yes,” She replied, “They have already been doing that for a while now. We might need to buy more resources soon otherwise the current resources won’t be enough to last long.”

Orion waved his hand in dismissal, “Don’t worry, I will find a way to empty their points soon. They won’t be able to clear the resources so easily.”

The two of them continued to chat for a while as time slowly passed. Soon, the time for the auction to start arrived.

On the center of the auction hall, an enchanting woman slowly walked to the center of the hall with a few attendants behind her who were carrying large trays with red cloth covering them.

The auction hall boiled over seeing her arrival. She charmingly smiled towards everyone and enthusiastically said, “Welcome everyone to another auction at Spring Breeze Auction House! This time, I, Rose, will be the host here.”

The people sitting in the hall cheered seeing her arrival, after all it wasn’t every day that Rose became the host of the auction house. Usually it would be one of those old men who would host it.

And no one was interested in staring at an old man when they could be seeing such a beautiful scenery. Rose was a tall woman with curves at the right places dressed in a red long dress.

She glanced around before saying with a smile, “I know everyone has been waiting for this auction for a long time. Now, without further ado, let’s begin it!”

The auction hall cheered before calming down as everyone stared at what item the auction house would take out for the start today.

Rose turned around and went towards the first tray and pulled away the cloth, and beneath it lay a long sword.

She picked it up and displayed it for all to see before sweetly saying, “This is a Tier 8 sword imbued with Wind Runic Inscription. After activating the runes upon it, the wielder will get at least 30% speed bonus for each swing, cutting down enemies as swiftly as a lumberjack cuts wood.”
