Chapter 478: Going Out in the City
Lumi also spoke up at this point,
[It would be really funny to see what the teachers’ faces would be like once they see you graduate in your first year (≧∇≦)/]
Orion’s expression also became interesting, he rubbed his chin while saying, ‘It might even be a record. Let’s see, I hope this test ends soon.’
Shaking his head, he entered inside the dining room where some of the others were sitting. He took his seat with a smile and finished his breakfast amidst laughter and chatter.
The breakfast soon finished as everyone left to do their own work. Some went to train with the other legion members while others headed out to visit the city. Only Nyss remained in the dining room, wanting to report about the dealing of corpses to Orion.
Orion, who had also stood up from his seat, saw Nyss remaining standing in place and asked curiously, “What’s up? Do you want to visit the city with me?”
All the words about the dealing were swallowed back down by her, instead she calmly nodded her head, “Yes, I wanted to visit the city with you.”
Orion nodded his head, “I was just planning to head out, this is good as well. Let’s go together, I heard about an auction house in the city, there might be something good there.”
Nyss showed no expression and nodded her head, walking beside Orion calmly, yet her heart sped up involuntarily as she walked a little closer to him.
The two of them soon left the mansion and headed out to visit the city. Fiora and Rina saw the two of them leaving together.
Rina pouted her cherry lips, “She really went ahead of us. I was thinking of asking Master to visit the city one of these days.”
Fiora giggled at her words, “It’s your own fault. You should have made your move sooner than her.”
Rina looked at her aggrievedly, “What do you mean sooner? It’s not even been a day since the war ended. I thought Master would be resting. But that cold block of ice took Master to visit the city first.”
“Alright alright, let’s not fuss about it anymore.” Fiora softly shook her head, “Let’s go and cultivate as well. There is no point wasting time here.”

Nyss and Orion walked through the streets of the city, none of them spoke anything as they calmly walked. Nyss didn’t talk much due to her cold and aloof personality or rather due to her nervousness of being alone with Orion.
While Orion was lost in his thoughts about the things he talked with Lumi about and the other worlds. He still remembered the diary he had found in that ruin and what it had said.
As the two walked, the other pedestrians looked at the two of them with respectful gazes. What had happened on the battlefield had already spread throughout the city by now.
Everyone knew how well the students of Thunderpeak Royal Academy had performed. Specifically Orion, the number one genius of the academy who shone like the brightest star among the younger generation yesterday.
Only the battlefield of Exalted Grade beings was more eye-catching than Orion’s battles. Even Pseudo Exalted Grade beings were not as eye-catching as him. He alone killed more Tier 9 demons than all the other Tier 9 beings combined.
It wasn’t easy to kill Tier 9 demons after all, multiple people were needed to band together to kill a single demon, while on the battlefield the demons were banding together to fight the humans.
It was hard enough for the human side to withstand the Tier 9 demons’ attack, so the actual number of Tier 9 demons killed for the past entire year hadn’t crossed 50.
But Orion alone killed nearly a dozen Tier 9 demons in a single battle, creating a record hard for others to break.
The crowd began to murmur softly about the achievements of Orion on the battlefield. The young ones among them looked at Orion with reverence, taking him as their role model and deciding to do their best to be like him.
While the older generation of people looked at him with respect and admiration.
And the protagonist of these gazes finally came back to his senses and looked around to see everyone staring at him.
His lips twitched, he softly grabbed Nyss’s arm and said, “Let’s go, otherwise I’m worried these people will swarm us.”
He flew in the sky and Nyss absentmindedly followed after him. She only came to her senses when Orion had landed in another city some distance away, right in front of the auction house which he had heard about.
Orion looked at the auction house and said to Nyss, “Alright this seems to be the place.”
Nyss also looked at the auction house which had a plaque in front of it on which was the name of the auction house written in bold letters: [Spring Breeze Auction House]
Reading the name, Orion muttered to himself, “Weird name, who takes such names?”
Nyss also had the same thought but she knew the background of the auction house so she didn’t comment on it. Instead she softly said, “It’s an auction house from the Empire.”
“Oh?” Orion raised an eyebrow, he hadn’t expected this auction house to have such a background. “Then let’s go and see how it is inside.”
With that, he headed directly inside the auction house. An attendant soon arrived in front of him, looking at Orion with respectful gaze.
He said, “Lord Orion, how may I help you?”
“Hmm?” Orion curiously looked at the young man, “You know me?”
The young attendant chuckled, “Of course, who in the entire Blood Flame City doesn’t know of your great name?”
Orion then realized his reputation seemed to have increased by a lot due to yesterday’s battle. He nodded his head and changed the subject, “I heard there will be an auction happening here soon. What’s the exact date and is there a list of the treasures which will be sold here?”
The young man quickly replied, “Yes Lord Orion, there will be an auction happening here today. But it will happen in the evening. Here is the list of the treasures, there might be some additions while the last three treasures will be a surprise.”
Orion took the list from the young man’s hand and nodded his head, “Then I will come in the evening. Can I book a private room in advance?”
The young man nodded his head, “Yes Lord Orion, you can. For a distinguished guest such as yourself, we always have private rooms. Wait let me get the token for one of the private rooms.”
“No need.” Just then, Nyss said calmly, “Private Room 1 is always reserved for our family.”
The young man then noticed Nyss standing beside Orion, “Ah my apologies I didn’t notice you Lord Nyss,” he hurriedly bowed in apology, wishing to get away as quickly as possible from this unlucky star.
‘Our?’ Orion, on the other hand, noticed something else in her words. But he decided to ignore it and then looked at the attendant. “As you can see, I already have a room so I won’t bother you anymore.”
“Then I will wish you a happy stay when you visit the auction house.” He quickly bid farewell before running to another place in the auction house.
Orion’s lips twitched, “I wasn’t going to eat him. Why is he running like his life is in danger.”
Nyss didn’t even bother to glance at the running young man. It was all too normal for her. Let alone this young man, even the servants in her own family ran away from her as if she was a plague.
So she was already used to it. She patiently waited beside Orion, wondering where he would go next.
“Let’s go visit the city. We will be back in the evening for the auction.” Orion said while leading her out of the auction house.
Nyss calmly followed behind him.

The two of them continued to explore the city, going from one place to another while enjoying local delicacies or looking at some other places.
While the city was bustling, some places were also mourning the loss of the deceased. Too many people had died yesterday numbering in thousands or even tens of thousands.
Such loss wasn’t new for the city but they didn’t want to get used to it. Even so, they needed to be strong and not collapse, otherwise not only themselves but even the remaining people they love would die due to the threat of the demons.
Orion and Nyss looked at all of this without commenting. Orion continued to visit one place to another as he sighed from time to time looking at the plight of the common people.
The most people who died came from the commoner houses, while those slightly wealthy families didn’t have such losses. But saying wealthy families didn’t suffer losses wouldn’t be correct either since a lot of the people from wealthy families also died during this time.
