Chapter 476: Aftermath
Orion had also attacked Muwa multiple times to catch him off guard, but unfortunately Muwa was always on guard against his sneak attacks.

He didn’t care about his attacks not landing and continued to guard his legion against the sneak attacks of Tier 9 demons.

After nine long hours of battle, the demons started to withdraw from the frontlines for some reason. And the top-ranked Demons also pushed their opponents back and flew away.

A lot of the members of the Legion were injured during this battle, but none of them took life-threatening injuries, most were flesh injuries while only a minority had their bones cracked.

But with the combined effort of the healers among them, most of them were healed before the injuries could get serious.

It was also the first time most of the legion members had faced such a fierce battle, where life was as fragile as a spark, getting extinguished at every moment.

Orion also sighed at the death of so many humans, but he wasn’t powerful enough to influence the entire war. He had done what he could already, killing over a dozen Tier 9 powerhouses alone.

This battle achievement was definitely one of the best that any powerhouse below Exalted Grade had achieved on the battlefield.

Legion members were also happy to have such a powerful Commander, they could at least brag to others about having one of the most powerful people serving as their Commander.

Orion clapped his hands to get the legion members’ attention, “Alright everyone, looks like you have rested enough, let’s start collecting the remaining corpses.”

These guys had already collected a lot of the corpses, otherwise the entire battlefield would be filled with them and there would be no place to fight. So every once in a while, some of the swift legion members would go out and collect all of the spoils of war.

By now, they already had tens of thousands of corpses on hand. But most of them were Tier 3 to Tier 5 corpses with not much practical value. But all the corpses above Tier 7 were small treasures.

Even if their value couldn’t be compared to the value of a normal Tier 7 treasure, the sheer number makes up for it. So they were quite eager to collect them all.

The other people on the battlefield got busy with their own stuff as well. Some were treating their own wounds, some were collecting the corpses of their comrades, some were collecting the corpses of the demons, and some were observing everything with sad eyes.

Overall, the atmosphere was filled with sadness and desolation. Despite forcing back the demons and gaining a small advantage against them, no one was in the mood to enjoy it.

Orion also looked at all this, increasingly feeling that his strength was still too weak. If he wanted to deal with all these demons, then he needed to at least breakthrough to the Exalted Grade first, only then could he deal with these problems.

He exhaled a long breath, ‘At least, no one from my Legion died…’ Turning his gaze towards the Deputy Commanders who were taking charge for the members, his heavy heart somewhat settled.

‘Even if I can’t protect everyone, I shouldn’t let those under me die meaningless deaths… I should think of a way to quickly breakthrough to the Ninth Tier.’ His eyes flashed with a cold glint, ‘Then, even against Pseudo Exalted I won’t be at a disadvantage, and might very well directly kill them.’

Softly shaking his head, he also descended from the sky and landed beside Rina and Fiora. The two of them also looked exhausted and tired from all the fighting for hours. Even the slight breaks they took weren’t enough to restore their energy.

Softly landing beside the two of them, he asked gently, “How are you two holding?”

Fiora looked at Orion with bright eyes and smiled weakly, “This was quite the experience. I feel like my strength improved quite a bit. At least my battle experience and reflexes seem to have improved.”

Orion nodded his head, “Looks like you are becoming increasingly better at controlling your draconic bloodline. Your strength is still in the process of rapidly improving.”

Rina quickly spoke as if she couldn’t wait for Orion’s praise, “Yes yes, my soul attacks also improved. Now I’m more proficient with soul attacks.” Speaking up to here, her expression turned a bit dim, “But it’s a pity I couldn’t find any good soul attack methods. My utilization is still crude without any special techniques. I feel like a brute.”

Orion laughed loud while patting Rina’s head, “Hahaha come on, you are the furthest thing from a brute. Let me see who dares to call you a brute.”

He glanced around to see everyone looking at the sky or earth as if there was something interesting there.

Turning his head back at Rina, he thought for a second and said, “As for Soul techniques. I will try to look for them as well. I haven’t learned many soul techniques myself.”

Rina softly giggled and shook her head, “You don’t have to think too much about it. Even without soul attacks, I can take care of myself with the spells. The spells you taught me are much better than the ones I learned before.”

Orion gently shook his head, “Don’t worry. I also need those techniques as well after all.”

Rina smiled and didn’t speak further, just lovingly gazing at Orion’s handsome face.

“Cough,” Who knows when, Elias arrived beside the trio and coughed lightly.

Rina and Fiora quickly averted their gazes from Orion’s face while Orion’s lips twitched seeing Elias’ strange gaze.

Fearing a beating from the three of them, he hurriedly spoke, “We collected the corpses. Should we leave?”

Orion patted Elias’ shoulder hard, exerting enough force to crack the ground beneath Elias’ feet, “Good work, but we can’t leave yet.”

Elias’ forehead broke out in cold sweat while his muscles twitched from pain, but he didn’t say anything about it since everyone was looking at him.

“Hmm? Why does your face look a little pale? Are you okay?” Orion asked with feigned concern.

‘Okay your mother, bastard!!!’ Elias cursed in his mind but forced out a smile, “Nothing nothing, anyways what else is there to do?”

Orion nodded his head and patted his shoulder again, this time sending a stream of Wood Mana while using a spell to heal his wounds, “Let’s go and help the others. Healers should heal those who are alive and can be helped. While others follow the healers to ensure their safety.”

The others looked at each other and nodded their heads. Soon, all of them left the area to heal the others in groups.

While Orion went alone to look at other areas. His healing spells were better than everyone’s in the Legion except Arya and his mana was also hundreds of times more than others.

And after such a long time, he had restored most of his spent mana. So he decided to use a few large-scale spells to heal hundreds of people at once.

The soldiers, mercenaries, and adventurers all looked at him with grateful eyes while thanking him. Orion calmly accepted their gratitude while going all over the battlefield to heal as many people as he could.

After a few hours, everyone started to head back to the city. The losses this time were similar to previous times. But considering the wave of the demons this time was multiple times bigger than previous ones, this result was already very good.

Orion and his group also went back, and the task of dealing with the corpses was handed over to Nyss’s subordinates. They would take care of it. Neither Orion nor the Deputy Commanders were interested in doing such a boring task.

The thing they were more interested in doing was to hurry back home and begin training. After fighting for over half a day consecutively, they had gained a lot of insights in their fighting style.

Perhaps after this period of rest, all of their cultivation would further increase, or at the very least, their combat power would increase by a lot.

Rina and Fiora had already broken through to the Eighth Tier recently and this battle thoroughly consolidated their powers and also helped them to familiarize themselves with their power.

Now they were much more proficient in controlling their new powers. While Arya and the others were on the verge of breakthrough.

After everyone reached the mansion, they all headed to their respective rooms to rest since everyone was tired.

Orion was also not in the mood to train or anything and headed straight to his room. He lay down on the bed inside while gazing at the ceiling of the room.

He thought of all the things that had happened recently before his eyes slightly twitched, ‘Lumi, did you forget something?’

Lumi’s curious voice sounded in his mind,

[What did I forget Master?]

He speechlessly looked at her innocent face in the system screen, taking a deep breath he said aloud, “Ascended Gacha Draw. I should get three more now, correct?”
