Chapter 475: Retreating
Despite temporarily forcing back Muwa with his barrage of spells, Orion wasn’t happy about the results since he wasn’t even able to injure him in the slightest.

Taking a deep breath, he opened his mouth wide as a surge of mana gathered around him. Thunder crackled as his throat slightly swelled before he shot out a giant wave of condensed Thunder Dragon Breath towards Muwa.

The air distorted in the path of the energy beam, directly reaching Muwa and forcing him to withstand it with all his arms at once. His gaze became solemn, he muttered to himself with slight confusion, “Dragon Breath? But… why is it so strong? It’s even stronger than True Juvenile Dragons…”

He couldn’t help but suspect that Orion was actually a True Dragon, but looking at Orion’s form, he clearly hadn’t transformed into a True Dragon. And even before, he had sensed a pure human aura from him.

After not being able to make sense of the situation, he decided to forget about it and focused on withstanding the Thunder Dragon Breath.

Orion also ended his attack soon and looked at Muwa, whose swords had turned slightly red from the intense heat but they soon turned back to normal.

He slightly frowned, “Dragon Breath is also useless? Looks like Pseudo Exalted beings are really something…”

Just then, the sound of air breaking echoed, and a majestic middle-aged man appeared in front of Orion and looked at Muwa with a calm gaze, “If you want a fight then this old man will accompany you. Why bully the young?”

Muwa coldly snorted and flexed his six swords, “Who I bully is none of your concern. If you want to fight then fight.”

The middle-aged man was not to be outdone, his arms flashed with mana as he took out a wand and softly said, “Looks like another demon will die today… Go back and join the front line young man, this detestable fellow might sneak attack you while risking his life otherwise.”

Orion tilted his head in respect, “Thank you sir, I will be going back now.” He was still polite to the seniors who were good to him no matter if they were commoners or nobles. He wasn’t used to putting on airs like the heirs of nobles.

The middle-aged man nodded his head while murmuring the chants of spells.

Orion didn’t linger on the battlefield and hurriedly moved back towards his own Legion who was fighting the demons below.

“Brother Orion!” Arya looked at Orion with relief seeing him come back safe and sound, “It’s good you are fine. I was really worried about you for a second there.”

He chuckled at her words, “No need to worry, you can go down and rest now. I will oversee the Legion.” He paused, looking at her slightly fatigued face, “It’s been hard on you.”

Her face brightened seeing Orion acknowledge her hard work but she shook her head, “I’m not tired. Most of the work was done by others, I was just overseeing from here.”

Orion shook his head helplessly and patted her head, “I know I know, now go down and rest. I can take care of things here now.”

Arya stuck her tongue out mischievously and went down to rest.

The others also visibly relaxed seeing Orion back in command. Everyone had already seen his amazing battles, making all of them even more convinced by his strength.

Now, they were wholeheartedly working to kill the demons so they could gain more benefits for themselves and quickly raise their strength.

Elias and others were also fighting on the front lines with the others to hone themselves so no one came to greet Orion.

While Orion gazed deeply at the six-armed demon Muwa who was fighting the middle-aged man on equal terms. He turned his gaze down and released his spiritual sense to cover the whole Legion again.

‘Looks like the war will be going on for quite a while next…’ He inwardly muttered.

Lumi agreed with him,

[They might be going at it for who knows how long. But you can’t join the battle like that again Master.]

However, her words quickly became reproachful,

[You only have 15% of your Mana left after using your spells hundreds of times. It’s only due to your massive SoC that you can sustain such a battle. Otherwise you would have died from exhaustion. But even you can’t handle such a battle again in a short time.]

Orion smiled wryly and nodded in agreement, ‘Yes yes I know, I won’t join the battle again now, happy?’

Lumi’s satisfied voice echoed in his mind with a giggle,

[Hehe of course Lumi is happy. As long as Master doesn’t court death it would be hard for those demons to kill you so we can be more at ease now. (⁎˃ᴗ˂⁎)]

Looking at the demons, Orion’s gaze turned solemn, ‘I already killed tens of thousands yet their number doesn’t seem to have gone down at all. Are there millions of them here or what? I can’t even see it clearly.’

Lumi became silent for a while before saying,

[I think there might be a portal leading directly to the lair of the demons and they are coming from that place continuously. That’s why we can’t finish killing them no matter how many of them come.]

Orion had also considered this possibility but he couldn’t understand how the demons had managed to make such a thing possible. Helplessly shaking his head, he murmured, “I will investigate this later.”

All of a sudden, he felt a slight chill as he hurriedly turned around to look. But there was nothing, he continued to look all around and saw that there was no danger.

“Strange… I thought someone was targeting me? Was that my imagination?” he asked in confusion, looking slightly bewildered.

Lumi felt like laughing seeing his slightly comical face but knew it wasn’t the time for jokes, she seriously said,

[At Master’s current level, it is hard for you to have such hallucinations. I think someone might be targeting you and they were observing you just now. They might be too far away from our perception so we can’t locate them.]

He frowned his brows in thought, “Hmm, the most likely are these demons. Probably an Exalted Grade demon might be targeting me from behind the scenes. But it probably doesn’t want to attack me in front of everyone since an Exalted Grade being of our human race will come to stop it…”

[We can’t stop at just demons Master. After all you don’t have only demons as your enemies…]

His lips slightly twitched but he finally calmed down and inwardly said, ‘When did I make so many enemies? Hmm let me think, first was those lunatics from Insanity Creed. They might be targeting me now since I’m away from Grandpa and Grandma.’

Lumi, clearly pleased with herself for making Orion look at other enemies, said,

[See? We already found another suspicious target.]

Orion shook his head and considered for any other noteworthy enemy he had made, ‘Those Beastkins can be eliminated from the list. I don’t think they will have the guts to come and target me so deep in the human territory. Then I can only think of that mysterious force backing that Silverfall City’s Viscount.’

Lumi reacted as if she had just remembered something,

[Oh I nearly forgot about them, I would have overlooked them if you hadn’t mentioned. It’s been a long time since there was any movement from that place right?]

‘…’ He couldn’t help but feel that Lumi was sometimes quite unreliable, ‘What are you saying? It’s not even been two weeks since I dealt with that Viscount.’

[…I forgot I was in the Inheritance ground for years… (⌒_⌒;)]

‘Well whatever. I will deal with the situation as they arise, for now there is nothing I can do about them…’ Shaking his head, he decided to focus on the battlefield while slowly recovering his mana.

Lumi also became silent while thinking of various possibilities about who it could be.

Below, the legion members continued to bravely fight while Orion assisted them from time to time when someone among them got into a hard situation.

They rotated the people who were fighting on the front line of the legion so all of them wouldn’t be exhausted at once. The legion was clearly divided into two teams, who were taking turns fighting the demons.

Orion also approved of this strategy, and since they were doing good on their own, he was too lazy to change anything.

Just like that, the battle continued to pass while the Legion members’ combat experience rose like a rocket. They were one of the most dazzling legions on the entire battlefield due to the presence of so many geniuses.

Most other legions could barely fight against the demons while his legion was decimating all the demons who approached them.

As the battle continued, time quickly passed and soon, 9 hours had passed and the demons finally began to retreat.
