Chapter 467: Horn of War
Anticipation rose in Orion’s heart hearing her words, he quickly opened up the panel to check the detail of the Uncommon Grade Draw.
[Pretending to be a Pig to Eat the Tiger Technique:
Detail 1: Hides the cultivation base from being perceived by others.
Detail 2: Helpful against beings above 2 Grades from the user.
Detail 3: Can only weaken the cultivation base, and cannot make it stronger.]
Orion’s face filled with black lines seeing the name of the technique. His lips twitched, “Which great figure named this technique?”
Lumi laughed to her heart’s content, if she had a body she would surely be rolling on the ground while seeing Orion’s face and the name of the technique.
[It suits you Master. You always like to hide your cultivation base when you visit cities. This will help you to achieve that goal further! (๑˃ᴗ˂)ﻭ]
Orion waved his hand in annoyance, “Change the name of the technique. Hmm, let’s call it Myriad Concealment Technique.”
[Aww…]
[Ding!]
[Technique name changed]
[Myriad Concealment Technique]
Orion nodded his head with satisfaction before a torrent of knowledge surged in his SoC, imprinting itself in his soul while also helping him to comprehend it.
He closed his eyes and quickly comprehended all the things that the technique was teaching him. Soon, he opened his eyes with a brilliant flash, his aura rapidly reduced as the fluctuations of his cultivation base reached back to before he broke through to Tier 8.
He concealed the breakthrough of both his Body and Mana cultivation.
Rubbing his chin, he thought to himself, “Hiding my strength will be quite helpful on the battlefield. With this, no overly powerful demons will attack me. At most Tier 8 demons will attack me, and I can kill them with a slap.”
Nodding his head with satisfaction, he left the room and headed towards the breakfast table.

Three days swiftly passed while the group continued to train the legion in the day and trained themselves in the night.
Orion received good news on the first day, both Fiora and Rina had broken through to the Eighth Grade in one of their paths.
He didn’t think much and passed down the Myriad Concealment Technique to the two of them and told them to learn it as soon as possible.
The two of them didn’t waste time and used all three days to barely comprehend the start of the technique. With that, they could hide their cultivation base against Tier 8 and Tier 9 beings.
Unlike Orion who had completely mastered the technique with the help of the system, they had to spend time themselves to slowly look through the profoundness to master it.
Orion could now hide his cultivation base against not only Tier 8 and Tier 9 beings but also Exalted Grade and Paragon Grade beings who wouldn’t be able to check his cultivation base.
But while mastering it, he also realized that the limit of the technique was Paragon Grade. Beings above it can easily see his cultivation base at a glance. So even if Orion reached the Paragon Grade, the technique wouldn’t improve with him like the Paragon of Sin title.
The others were working hard on their cultivation as well but no one among them broke through so soon.
And finally, on the third day, horns of war sounded throughout the city.
All beings at or above Tier 4 charged towards the outside of the city to fight against the demonic beast tide.
Because if they let the tide hit the walls, then they might be able to withstand one wave or two waves or a few more waves. But after a dozen waves, the walls would be broken through and the entire city would plunge into despair.
And no one in the city wanted to see that so everyone had decided to make the battlefield outside the city. But not too far away so they could get the backup of city wall defense.
Orion and his group’s expression also subtly changed as the legion was training in the back of the mansion.
All of them hurriedly gathered in seven groups and the Seven Deputy Commanders stood in front of their respective groups.
Orion stood facing the entire legion with Rina and Fiora on his left and right. He gazed deeply at everyone and seriously said, “I won’t waste much words with you. Today will be the debut of our Demon Suppressing Legion. Everyone needs to be serious and not make mistakes. Listen to your Deputy Commander and make sure not to act alone. Stay together in formation.”
“Deputy Commanders will control the entire group while I will oversee the performance of everyone. So be sure to do your best and survive. Our main mission for this wave is not to kill demons but to familiarize ourselves with the battlefield. You can act cautiously as long as you don’t die.”
“You don’t become veterans by acting courageously and charging at the front, but you become veterans by acting cautiously and knowing when to push and when to retreat. There is nothing more important than your life,” He gazed at all the legions and continued, “So act cautiously but ruthlessly. If you can kill a demon, then kill them without hesitation.”
“You must not show pity or sympathy towards demons, otherwise the one who will die will be you or your comrade here.”
He stopped here, looking at everyone and seeing that most of them had taken his words to heart, he nodded his head, “Alright that’s it. Let’s move to the east city gate.”
The legion members calmly and collectively marched towards the exit of the mansion before quickly moving towards the eastern city gate. By now, the roads had been emptied so everyone could quickly move through them to the outside of the city.
So Orion and his Legion rushed quickly towards the eastern city gate. Everywhere they passed, the surrounding people looked at them with surprise.
No one had known such an ‘elite’ legion had arrived at their city. However, when some passersby recognized that they were the elite students of the Thunderpeak Royal Academy, they couldn’t help but be surprised.
“Aren’t they the students who came during this week from the capital?”
“Yes, they are the elites of the Thunderpeak Royal Academy.”
“They seem to have been organized as a whole by the young man rushing at the front.”
“I really, really thought they would arrogantly rush at the frontlines and battle the demons one on one.”
“Looks like we underestimated these young ones. There might be a surprise this time.”
Wherever the Legion passed, talks like this became common. A lot of the people in the city didn’t have much hope from the students since most of them were either alone or in small groups.
So even if they joined the fight against the demons, the impact wouldn’t be large. But now, if such an elite legion were to make a move then it would be different.
They could at least take care of one region outside the city gates alone.
Orion and the Deputy Commanders didn’t stop and ignored all the talks around them. They already knew what impression the city people had of students so they didn’t think much of it.
But the normal members of the legion looked at the passersby with a proud gaze seeing their awe-filled gazes and surprised expressions.
After running for one hour straight, Orion and the others arrived at the eastern city gates.
