Chapter 448: Passing Time
After arriving outside his room, Orion paused momentarily and let out a tired sigh, his hand reaching out to gently turn the handle.

With a soft click, the door slowly swung open, revealing the interior of his simple room, now slightly dark due to evening’s shadow.

Inside, Orion’s gaze immediately went towards the small figure sitting atop his study table, legs gently swinging as she curiously studied the scattered parchments that were left behind from his earlier research.

Hearing the faint creaking of the door opening, Lyra’s head swiftly turned around, eyes lighting up instantly with joy.

“Papa!” she exclaimed happily, quickly leaping from the chair, her tiny feet softly padding against the plush carpet as she rushed toward Orion.

Reaching him, she tightly wrapped her small arms around his leg, her face lifted upwards with a radiant smile that instantly warmed Orion’s previously heavy heart.

Orion felt his earlier tension and heaviness fade away in an instant, gently patting her head with affection. “Yes, Little Lyra, I’m back,” he softly said, feeling his mood becoming lighter.

She tilted her head, smiling brighter as she happily pulled him into the room towards the study table to ask questions about what those are.

Orion chuckled, closing the door behind him with a gentle click and followed after to see what questions she had.

The next two days passed peacefully, the entire mansion radiating with warmth and happiness at Orion’s return.

Seraph had started to come out of her room more often to talk with Orion or just wander the mansion to become more familiar with the others. At first she was very nervous but seeing the warm atmosphere of others she slowly let her guard down.

And on the other hand Lyra, with her sweet and curious nature, quickly won over the hearts of everyone residing within the mansion, from Edgar and lazy Lucan to both grandparents as well as the maids in the mansion.

Indeed, Lyra was spoiled even more excessively than Orion himself. Even Orion couldn’t help but be speechless when he saw how much both Selene and Eldric were spoiling Little Lyra.

Meanwhile, at the mansion, Little Lyra found Rina and convinced her to change Orion’s boring room to something interesting and eagerly spent the last two days redecorating his room, turning the whole room upside down.

They didn’t allow Orion anywhere near the room during this process, forcing him to temporarily sleep in another room within the mansion.

It was a good thing that the mansion was big enough, otherwise he might have to sleep on the couch somewhere. And seeing the two of them like this, he couldn’t help but feel both amused and curious to see what the two of them would end up with at the end of this upheaval.

His previous minimalistic and plain room had changed, but the change was beyond his expectations. He had thought that it might become all pink, fluffy and cute or like other nobles’ rooms, but instead Little Lyra really gave him a surprise.

The walls had all been remodeled from simple wood to a strange wood that sometimes flashed with illusions of Dragons and other ancient ferocious beasts but only if you focused for long enough, otherwise it remained normal.

While the ceiling had also been remodeled with different materials and formations and it glowed with a starlit sky during night and changed to a bright sky during the day as he could infer from looking at the formations.

Even all the furniture had been changed, in place of the normal large bed, it was changed with another large bed but made with intricate decorations of Dragon and Phoenix, while the dressing area was changed as well and made into an entire separate small room since Lyra was staying with him from now on.

And the color theme was also Black and Silver of the room, letting it have a gothic feel to it. While the study table had also become larger to accommodate his needs since the previous one was too small for him.
