Chapter 282: Coordinates!?
Thankfully for Jareth, the entire boss area was now empty, as Luche had left to pester the False Dome cult.

‘I guess this is my lucky day, as I don’t have to fight some overly ridiculous boss for once after so many failed attempts…’

Jareth sighed and glanced around.

“As expected,… the place has a great view; you can see the entire vast miasmic land and watch the river of miasma flow in absolute silence here…”

“No wonder Luche liked to meditate in this place… for a half-succubus and half-fairy like her, this is definitely a good place to seclude herself from the world…”

Although Luche does not have miasma and uses mana as her main source of power, she’s highly resistant to miasmic corruption due to her demonic bloodline and fairy bloodline.

Jareth shook his head and walked forward; he crossed the prayer ground and reached the broken main door of the temple.

The temple had already collapsed long ago, and there were boulders and stones scattered everywhere; only a small, half-broken portion of the door was still standing.

There were also some characters engraved on that broken pillar, but Jareth didn’t know what they meant or what their meaning was.

Jareth placed his hand on those characters carefully to not break the already fragile pillar.

“What does this say here?”

*It says, ‘Beware of Falling on the Wrong ‘Path’… the rest of the characters are too damaged to understand… but if my memory serves right…*

*It used to say, ‘Walk the ‘Path’ of Ascension with no hesitation.’…*

“You even know what was written here… I guess you really did hold some high position if you were allowed to enter the fairy temple…”

*Fairies are different than you humans; they didn’t have ‘discrimination’… everyone was equal and everyone was allowed to enter the fairy temple at will…*

*Even the fairy king was just a king in the name because of his talent and power, not because he was ruling them or was higher than them…*

“You mean to say there were no hierarchies among fairies; all were basically equal and even the fairy king was the same…”

*Yeah… Perhaps… that was the main reason why the fairy race fell… they had no military and someone in control…*

Jareth nodded his head in understanding; a nation can only function properly when there’s someone leading it.

If there is no governing power in charge, then it’s not even a nation; it’s just a massive group of people banding together to do whatever they want to do with no rules or regulations.

The main reason why this nation model even worked was because it was the fairy race who used it, and as most of them were kind and benevolent beings, they had no such things as crimes or stuff, so there was no need for rules, regulations, military, or police.

Such a model would have never worked for human empires and nations, as they were entirely different in nature.

Jareth flew in the air as he moved deeper inside.

There was no path to walk, as most of the area was covered in rubble and debris; Jareth had to fly around to go further.

He flew over to the central area of the collapsed temple, and there was a giant statue buried under rubble while half broken.

[Basic Magic: Telekinesis!]

Using telekinesis, Jareth cleared the rubble and dug out the broken statue from below it.

The statue was that of an ‘Orb’; it was half broken and hollow from the inside, and there were various pointed dots and lines made on the orb.

In the game, you couldn’t pick anything up from the fallen debris of the temple, as that was just a visual game asset and you couldn’t interact with it.

But now that Jareth can interact with them, he managed to finally dig out the statue that the players wanted to investigate in his past life.

The players had found this half-buried statue in the game, but they could not investigate it or see it properly due to the rubble in the way.

But Jareth has accomplished that goal now.

“What even is this Orb… Why is it placed in the central area of the fairy temple… as if they were worshipping it?”

*That… that is a statue depicting the ‘world,’ the ‘nature,’ and the ‘universe’ itself…*

*Fairies believed in the ‘world,’ and that’s what this statue represents… those dots you see are locations in the universe and those lines are pathways to go there…*

*I don’t know much about them though… even the fairies didn’t know what this orb depicted exactly, as this statue is a very old relic…*

Jareth was surprised by Rororon’s words, and his eyes narrowed instantly from the sheer shock.

“What!? You are saying that various coordinates of the universe are mentioned on this broken orb!? And there are even mentions of ‘pathways’ that lead there!?”

“Are you serious right now!?”

Jareth’s main goal and plan was to escape from this planet and leave the entire sea of miasma.

But that would need him to have some kind of coordinates that will take him to some safe place so that once the wormhole opens, he reaches a safe place on the other side.

Originally he had no other reference point, and he was going to just enter random coordinates, as he had no knowledge about anything outside the sea of miasma.

But this revelation from Rororon was a breathtaking discovery! If he can decipher the ‘Universe’s Map’ on this orb, he can in fact find safe coordinates!!

“Wait a minute… By pathways, you mean ‘wormholes’!? Are there dedicated pathways to open a wormhole to these coordinates already present!?!?”

The more Jareth realized, the more shocked he felt.

‘Does that mean that someone among the fairies already researched on the topic of wormholes even before me!?’

‘Could it be that someone had tried before what I am trying now!? No, if that was the case, there should have been some records of it…’

“Who made this statue!?”

*ERR… I don’t know why you are so shocked by this statue but if I remember it right, I think some fairies from the ancient times already had this statue with them…*

*According to the older fairies, this statue had been here since the time the fairy race existed on this planet… so I don’t know who made it…*

“Sh*t!… Sigh, I guess I will have to decipher it myself somehow; this item is too valuable!”

Jareth did not hesitate even a little bit and stuffed the entire broken statue into his space ring.

He had five space rings, one on his finger and the rest in his coat’s inner pocket. He had already prepared an empty ring just so that he could collect things from the area and bring them back without any worry.

He stuffed the statue into that ring, and finally heaved a sigh of relief.

‘Thankfully I didn’t have to fight Luche here, otherwise the temple would have been further damaged and the statue might have broken apart…’

In the game, the area around them didn’t get affected no matter what powerful attack the boss or the player character used, but in the game, a powerful clash between two powerful beings can easily blow this temple away instantly.

Just like what happened when Jareth was fighting Zion in the boss area that used to belong to Konda.

Their fight caused the entire boss area to explode and shatter when such a thing was impossible in the game.

‘Today really is my lucky day; everything in my life goes so well when those three unlucky stars are not present…’

Jareth didn’t manage to protect the golden nail the last two times, and he became unlucky after meeting those three endgame bosses.

Today he didn’t meet any of them, and he’s already feeling quite lucky compared to before, as he’s getting good results from this trip.

‘Now I should rush over to the golden nail before things worsen…’

Jareth rummaged through the rubble for other important things, but he didn’t find anything useful; most things were already too broken to even distinguish properly.

Only the debris and rubble were left everywhere.

Jareth could only shake his head and head towards the backyard of the temple.

A massive pillar made up of piled-up stones was standing.

It was obvious that someone had gathered random big boulders from the temple’s debris to pile them up on one another and make this pillar.

‘Luche… her thought process is very weird…’

Jareth knew that this was done by Luche to hide the entrance to the underground corridor that leads to the hall where the ‘Golden Nail’ is stored.

‘This boulder is still safe and standing, which means that the false dome cult hasn’t made it here yet… phew, that’s one burden off my shoulder…’

Jareth waved his arm and used telekinesis to put the pillar of boulders away.

Once he had pushed all the boulders aside, a rough and half-broken staircase revealed itself buried beneath.
