Chapter 278: The Bizarre Wyvern Tribe. Part-2.
When he first transmigrated to this world, dealing with a normal wyvern was already too big of a problem for him.

He even had to use an attack enhancement card to survive that moment.

But today, things are much different than before.

He can already use a much stronger level of power than he did back then, even without the need for an attack enhancement card.

‘It’s been less than two years since that day… and I have already changed my situation completely…’

Jareth wasn’t worried about getting entangled with an entire swarm of wyverns; even if they attacked him all at once, his mana shield would still remain unbreakable.

*BOOOM!*

He flew with such speed that he created a powerful sonic boom in the air and reached the nearest mountaintop in a matter of just a few seconds.

‘These mountains are more like spears of stone pointing towards the sky instead of real mountain… I wonder who crafted them in such a precise shape…’

While thinking about the peculiar design of the mountain, Jareth flew near a wyvern that was circling the very top area of the spear-like mountain continuously.

‘Hmm?…’

Jareth slowed down his flying speed and went even closer to the wyvern, making sure that it could notice him easily.

But even after Jareth reached so close, the wyvern still didn’t react and kept circling that mountain’s peak continuously like a mindless robot.

‘What’s going on here? In the game they would attack you like mad dogs once they noticed you… what’s going on here? this fellow is ignoring me…’

Jareth went over and jabbed the wyvern’s rotting body.

“Excuse me! Anybody home? It’s your friendly neighborhood scammer here!”

*BOOOM!*

Jareth’s body is extremely strong, even stronger than most knights, and thus his punch was also very powerful; he didn’t want to use spells, so he just jabbed the fellow lightly.

The punch was so powerful that the wyvern’s scales shattered and its bones creaked loudly from its destructive power; its ribs fractured, and several internal organs got damaged.

The wyvern got smashed into the mountain peak due to the force of that powerful punch.

Debris and rubble flew in the sky everywhere.

“Uh… my bad, my hand slipped a bit; I used too much strength…”

*Are you… like… really a mage? Don’t tell me that you are actually a knight, in fact…*

Rororon was shocked by Jareth power, although he could not see the outside world, he could still sense and knew what was going on around him.

“No… I am just a humble wizard…”

Ignoring Rororon’s exaggerated responses, Jareth glanced at the shattered mountain peak.

The wyvern was severely injured by Jareth’s attack; its entire body was already rotting with miasma and very unstable even before Jareth attacked, and now it was even more disfigured.

Yet, despite being in such a horrible state, the wyvern still got up with difficulty and tried to circle around the peak while desperately waving its long, rotten wings.

Wyverns and many other flying monsters actually use some level of elementary wind magic and wind elementals to fly.

Due to this, even if a situation comes where they lose both of their wings, they can sometimes still continue to fly.

This wyvern was also doing the same; it was using miasma from its body to forcefully fly with those rotten wings.

*What is going on with this wyvern… I don’t remember the prideful wyvern tribe to be like this… they were the type of creatures who used to take pride in their ability to soar in the sky…*

Although wyverns aren’t highly intelligent creatures, their brain capabilities are equal to that of a ten-year-old human child.

They can’t speak human languages but are capable of many complex thoughts and careful decisions.

There’s no way a normal wyvern would behave in such a brainless, robotic way.

‘Have they lost its mind due to miasma and corruption… but in that situation, the creatures become consumed with rage and violence though…’

‘This situation is very weird; I haven’t seen something like this ever before…’

Jareth flew in the sky and glanced at the other wyverns flying around and rushed towards them at a fast speed.

The second wyvern that Jareth reached was circling in empty air over and over.

It was flying in a circle and was seemingly trying to bite its tail; even when Jareth kicked it and made it fall down into the deep valley, it still didn’t wake up from that mindless state.

Jareth investigated many wyverns in the area, but the situation was the same; the entire wyvern tribe was engulfed in a bizarre situation as if they all had lost their minds at the same time.

‘Why does this situation remind of a ‘bug in the game’ scenario?…’

Normally when playing a game, bugs can happen in the game, which might make the NPCs or the enemy glitch crazily, causing them to behave in bizarre manners.

Miasma was indeed affecting the wyverns, but Jareth couldn’t see any violent tendencies in the wyverns, which should have appeared after he attacked them.

“Has the ‘False Dome Cult’ done something to them? What kind of bizarre power is this?”

“There are no mana or miasma fluctuations; I can’t even detect any mind control or mind manipulation traces on them…”

Jareth scratched his chin in confusion as he thought about various types of hidden skills and powers that could have done something like this.

There are many types of powers that can interfere with a creature’s mind and alter their brain to make them a mindless sl*ve, but the odd thing is that Jareth can’t detect any of them being used on these wyverns.

Every spell that can interfere with a creature’s brain is a very difficult-to-master forbidden spell that leaves behind easily detectable traces.

The main reason why people like the previous principal of the academy can’t just go and brainwash the entire nation to make them all obey him is because it will take tremendous effort and work to accomplish something like that.

The brain of any creature is a very complex and difficult-to-understand organ; you will need deep knowledge about a being’s brain to even be able to accurately use that kind of spell.

And due to the presence of ‘healing mages,’ there are no such high-level ‘doctors’ who actually study and research about brains; even if there are, they are very rare to find, and usually they aren’t mages at all.

Even Jareth had to learn a lot about the human brain first before he actually tried the spell ‘Rational Mind.’

This spell interferes with the hormones of the brain and suppresses your emotion-related hormones while also boosting your rational-thinking part of the mind.

It’s such a delicate spell that it needs insane mana control.

‘There’s no way anyone else has ‘mana singularity’ like me… then that leaves only one answer…’

‘The false dome cult has found some kind of high-level artifact that didn’t exist in the game before…’

Jareth has changed the plot of this world tremendously to earn massive amounts of credit points to stock them up for future use.

But this also has changed many things and has caused massive levels of butterfly effects.

It won’t be surprising if some of Jareth’s decisions caused the ‘False Dome Cult’ to stumble upon an artifact that they wouldn’t have found originally.
