Naelia had thought about her first time a bunch of times.

Maybe right there in their wedding bed, with clean sheets and the room would be quiet.

Azel’s hands clamped down harder on her hips, holding her steady while he kept kissing her deep.

He sucked at her mouth like he was pulling everything out of her, his tongue was working rough taking her breath until her head felt light and fuzzy.

“As the first princess of the Starbloom Empire, I order you to shut up,” she cut him off quick before he could get the rest out.

“I don’t want to end up hitched to some guy who doesn’t give a damn about me at all,” she kept going, shoving her face deeper into his neck and her arms wrapped around him like glue. “And thinks I’m just some setup just to keep peace… I want the guy I actually love. The one who sees me.” Her breath caught. “I love you, Azel. Love you so much it messes with my head. I can’t say exactly why, but from way back when we were little… that smile you had, the one that said everything was okay, that I’d be fine no matter what. You got me right then. I’ll never let go.”

She grabbed his face with both hands, her palms flat on his cheeks and she used her thumsb to rub his jaw as she stared straight into his eyes.

He’d picked her up off the ground without trying and her feet were dangling loose.

“Men like you, the strong ones? Women chase after you, line up for a shot. I know how it works. But don’t count me out. Don’t act like I’m not worth it.”

Naelia chewed her. “There, I said it all. Now… will you give me what I want?”

“Sure,” he said and before she could suck in air, he set her down but he pushed her against the wall. “If I leave a mark, you think your sister will ask questions about it?”

“I’ll… tell her a bug got me or whatever,” Naelia managed to ask… She was anticipating what was going to happen

He nodded once, quick, then leaned in and bit down… his teeth hit the soft part of her neck and it was firm enough to sting.

She let out a little whimper as he pulled his teeth back, dragging his tongue over the spot slowly, easing the burn.

Her head knocked back on the wall and eyes squeezed shut as heat flooded between her legs.

Naelia could not move away even if she wished… he was still marking the other side of her neck, his teeth and tongue moving slowly, as if claiming every part of her.

Her body betrayed her and her legs were trembling uncontrollably.

“Stop it,” she muttered, trying to sound confident. “It’s only the water from the shower.”

“We’re no longer under the shower,” Azel pointed out.

“It’s merely a coincidence,” she insisted, lifting her chin. “Or you must have done something. Maybe during the kiss, with your tongue.”

Azel let out a low chuckle and pulled his face back. “I gave you only my affection, princess.”

What was happening to her? One smile from him, and she felt herself wanting to die for him…

“Enough,” she murmured, pressing against his chest to create distance. “I’ll take my turn.”

She sank to her knees before he could respond.
