Extra's Death: I Am the Son of Hades - Chapter 791
Chapter 791: Fake
No one had stopped them.
Neo didn’t know the answer.
He decided to put the thought aside.
Right now, he needed to figure out the current problem.
He stopped beside a tree and took a slow breath.
“True Blessed Land…” he said. “If it’s the same thing I’m supposed to create, then this Cosmos’ Blessed Land is the Golden Domain inside each universe.”
Before the Cosmos was damaged, there was only one universe and one Golden Domain.
Now, after the fracture of the Cosmos, countless universes had formed, each carrying its own Golden Domain inside.
“Does this mean the designation of Blessed Lands was shifted from Golden Domain to Hope Elemental World?”
He shook his head.
“No, that shouldn’t be possible.”
He paused for a moment and tried to put the pieces together in a clear line.
“Golden Domains are still the Blessed Lands of this Cosmos.”
“That’s why sealing a Blessed Land weakened the Demons’ Authority when I fought Kevin.”
That part was certain.
If Blessed Lands were the Golden Domains, then something else was going on.
“Then why is the Hope Elemental World called the True Blessed Land?” he asked himself quietly.
He knew the answer.
“This place provides something valuable. Too valuable. That’s why it’s called the True Blessed Land.”
Neo already knew what that valuable thing was.
“The chance to become a Realm Divinity God.”
“It’s only possible here because of the high talent requirement to go beyond Supreme Mastery in a technique.”
He continued walking between the trees.
Then another question came to him.
“The cultivators that child spoke about… were they the Realm Divinity Gods I know?”
The idea didn’t sit well with him.
“No. Realm Divinity Gods don’t have Cosmoses. So cultivator here likely means Heavenbreakers.”
“Realm Divinity Gods must have a different name here.”
He stepped over a fallen branch and moved deeper into the forest.
But then something else bothered him.
“How are there multiple cultivators here?” he said. “The System Cole created said the only Heavenbreakers in this Cosmos are Ultris and me.”
He stopped walking.
“Are we outside the Cosmos?”
He thought about it for a second.
“No, this is still inside our Cosmos. This is the Hope Elemental World.”
That left only one answer.
“The cultivators here are not actual people.”
Each Elemental World had its own inhabitants.
In Shadow World, for example, there would be “people,” but these were shadows created by the Elemental World.
They could be formed from Neo’s shadow, someone else’s shadow, or even a shadow-type monster.
They lived inside Shadow World as its residents.
But they were not true people.
They had no Life Flame.
“If the people here are the same, then they aren’t real either. Even if they look and act real.”
He lifted his hand and looked at his palm.
“But even if they aren’t true people, this world can still suppress me.”
That troubled him more than anything else.
Neo’s physical strength was Stage 8.
And he was a Heavenbreaker.
Suppressing him to the level of an Awakened Demigod shouldn’t be possible for anyone — any Elemetal Supreme — in the Cosmos.
Not even close.
“Even Ultris said Apollyon can’t act as he wants here. This world is far too strong compared to anything or anyone in the Cosmos.”
He started walking again.
Leaves brushed against his arms as he moved through the forest.
An Elemental World this strong was not normal.
It didn’t fit any definition he knew.
And the picture the boy painted about this world was even stranger.
It had cultivators.
But they were probably fake people created by this Elemental World.
Why would the world make them?
He stopped again as an absurd theory formed in his mind.
“This place mimics the world of the Celestial Worthy. The creator of our Cosmos.”
He thought about it more.
“Celestial Worthy must have world has many cultivators.”
“And the Celestial Worthy himself created this Elemental World.”
“That’s why this world is strong enough to suppress anyone and everyone.”
The theory lined up too well.
“And its intention… maybe this is the Celestial Worthy’s way of giving us a path to become Heavenbreakers and Realm Divinity Gods.”
“Maybe it’s a path to surpass the limit of our Cosmos.”
It made sense.
Almost everything matched.
But then there was the one thing that didn’t fit.
The strange scene in the village stayed in his mind.
Everyone turning into half-corpses.
Everyone chanting the same words.
The Dao is corrupt.
That scene didn’t explain anything he could guess.
Why would something called the Hope Elemental World have something so horrible inside it?
“Dammit, this place is too confusing,” Neo said.
He kept walking, stepping over a fallen branch.
“Well, not everything is confusing. I now know one thing. Shadow World mimics our Cosmos, and this world mimics Celestial Worthy’s world.”
He let out a small breath.
“Clearly, that shadow bastard copied the idea of a mimicked Elemental World from this place.”
He shook his head.
“This guy is a bigger leech than me. Even I don’t copy others to this extent,” Neo muttered under his breath.
His tone was light, but his expression was cold.
Talking about the Shadow Supreme made something inside him tighten.
It was strange to think that the Shadow Supreme must have remembered his time in True Blessed Land.
But even knowing that, Neo didn’t forget the important part.
That bastard had planned and carried out the move that got Jack killed.
Neo’s jaw clenched for a moment.
“Anyway…” he said.
He rubbed his forehead again.
The forest air felt slightly colder as the memory of the chant replayed in his mind.
The sound of those voices still made his skin crawl.
He exhaled slowly and forced his shoulders to relax.
“I need to meet someone else and ask them what this place really is.”
He looked ahead.
The forest stretched forward, as if hiding more answers and more dangers.
Neo continued walking.
He clicked his tongue lightly and raised his hand.
“Hey, do you sense Vivi and Elizabeth?” he asked.
A familiar voice answered inside his mind.
[Yes, Master. They are coming toward our location, but I can’t tell the distance.]
Neo let out another long sigh.
“Of course,” he murmured.
Space Supreme’s promise to protect Vivi had been sending her here.
Apparently, Elizabeth had also entered this place. It was why Neo didn’t find her in Shattered Horizon, past, present and future.
Neo could sense them here.
They were his Avatars, so their presences were clear to him.
He could tell they were moving toward him.
But things had changed after he lost Loan.
A lot of his abilities were affected.
One of them was the ability to take anything out of his Cosmos or put anything inside.
The second was the ability to know the exact location of his Avatars.
He now only sensed the general direction they were in.
So Neo couldn’t tell how far Elizabeth and Vivi were.
He also couldn’t guess how long it would take for them to reach him.
“Luckily, they’re coming from a similar direction,” he said.
He stepped over another patch of thick roots and continued forward.
“I should find the bear quickly and then start heading toward them.”
Even with everything happening around him…
Even with the strange visions…
Even with the uncertainty of this world…
Neo felt something warm in his chest.
Anticipation.
Happiness.
He hadn’t felt that in a long time.
He could finally meet Elizabeth and Vivi again.
He quickened his pace through the forest.
His footsteps were steady, and his senses spread out for signs of the bear.
Branches cracked under his boots.
Birds flew away when he passed under their trees.
But his mind stayed focused on two things.
The creature he needed to defeat.
And the two Avatars running toward him somewhere far away.
His heart beat a little stronger.
It was rare for Neo to feel this kind of excitement.
He missed them both.
He wanted to see them again.
And despite how terrible his situation was…
Despite being weakened…
Despite the strange rules of this world…
He couldn’t suppress the small smile forming on his face.
