Chapter 387: EX 387. Throne Of The Wild Tyrant
Originus stirred in the back of Leon’s mind with a low grumble.
‘She is learning your bad habits.’
Leon’s gaze tightened on Nikko’s distant figure. ‘What habits?’
‘She looks thrilled, despite the fact she just got impaled through the chest,’ the dragon answered matter-of-factly.
Leon let out a quiet laugh.
It slipped out before he could stop it. He had to admit the dragon had a point.
Two times was already more than any sane person should experience.
Originus wasn’t finished.
‘She might be even worse than you. Why is she laughing like that?’
Leon cleared his throat as if trying to cover something up. It didn’t fool the dragon.
A stretch of silence followed, then Originus roared inside his skull.
‘Did you turn her into an M?’
‘No,’ Leon answered quickly. Before the dragon could push further, he added,
‘Lizzie and I did.’
Originus went silent. The pause lingered long enough to make Leon imagine the old beast rubbing his temples.
‘Both of you need help,’ the dragon finally muttered.
‘Spoiling an innocent child like that. Even the stars won’t forgive such an act’
Leon couldn’t help the small smile that tugged at his lips at the dragons statement.
His eyes softened as he watched Nikko’s transformed form stand there with that wild grin. ‘As long as she’s happy, that’s all that matters.’
Originus sighed but kept whatever he wanted to say to himself.
The scene shifted back to the fight.
The lunatic shook its head as if trying to steady the world around it.
The concussive blow Nikko had given him should have dropped something of its kind.
The fact that it was still standing said enough about its power.
Its attention locked on Nikko. Its eyes narrowed. The hole in her chest was gone.
Smooth skin. No blood. No wound. She stood there as if she had only shrugged off a scratch.
That should have been impossible.
The creature’s ability worked by negating everything.
Arts, spells, laws, natural traits. Anything tied to power was shut off the moment it got close.
That was why the Dowager’s law of infinity had blinked out right when she needed it most.
But the girl in front of it had healed.
Its jaw twitched.
The realization crawled over its expression like a slow sickness.
The one thing it trusted most, its negation — wasn’t working on her.
And that confused it more than the pain still ringing through its skull.

Nikko planted both hands on her waist, chin tilted high, the faintest smirk tugging at her lips.
“Is that all you got?”
The lunatic just stared. Its shadow twitched at its feet.
“For a corrupt creature, you seem more like a pu—”
She cut herself off as a thick wave of pressure rolled through the steps of liberation. The air groaned.
The shadow behind the lunatic deepened, darkening the entire steps until it looked carved out of night.
Nikko paused mid-insult, her smile widening instead.
“That’s more like it. I didn’t win a game of rock paper scissors just to fight a pussy.”
A vein jumped on Racheal’s forehead.
“Petty bitch.”
Nikko burst into laughter, bright and unbothered. “Now show me what you’ve got.”
The shadow swelled. It packed itself tighter and tighter until it ballooned upward in a column of darkness and fused into the lunatic’s frame. Stone trembled.
Steps cracked under the weight of the new form rising there, some colossal monster hunched over the staircase, tall enough that the void swallowed everything above its shoulders.
The Dowager didn’t move this time.
She only watched, silently, as Nikko stood alone before the towering thing.
Nikko tipped her head back, eyes tracking the silhouette until her neck strained. It was so tall she couldn’t even make out its top through the shadows.
“What a big guy,” she muttered.
A moment later, a foot the size of a small house lifted overhead. Then it came down.
The impact didn’t just strike, it collapsed. A blunt force that ripped the staircase apart and churned the air into a violent shockwave.
Leon reacted on instinct. He grabbed the Dowager, hauled the entire squad to him, and expanded his force domain until its invisible walls swallowed the blast.
Even then, the shock hammered against him like another attack entirely.
The steps of liberation below were obliterated. The colossus’ foot sank deep into the ruined stone as dust rolled outward in a choking cloud.
When the haze thinned, a dark puddle spread beneath its heel, blood splattered across shards of broken steps.
What remained of Nikko.
A ripple went through the squad, as no one spoke.
Then the blood lifted.
Drops floated upward, trembling like red beads of mercury.
Bits of flesh drifted from across the wreckage, pulling toward a single point.
First the nerves knitted together, an exposed network suspended in the air. Then the bones spiraled around them. Muscles crawled into place. Organs. The central nervous system. Last came her skin.
She stood whole again.
And different.
Primal energy poured off her in waves so thick the air warped around her shape.
White fue wrapped her bare body like living cloth. Her face sharpened, taking on wild lines, more beast than human, hints of a feral cat beneath the fur.
The colossus lowered its head, as its vertebrae cracked loudly, echoing through the void.
Nikko threw her head back and roared at it, voice booming across the ruins.
“That attack wasn’t strong enough! You need to hit harder than that if you want to kill me!”
****
Nikko’s talent, Throne of the Wild Tyrant, pulsed through the air like a second heartbeat.
Leon felt it even from the shattered edge of the steps of liberation.
That talent flooded her body with an absurd concentration of primal energy, so overwhelming she’d been granted access to the two supreme authorities.
A rank nine with that level of primal energy would have stepped into the realm of supreme laws, but she wasn’t rank nine yet.
Even so, those authorities alone were more than enough to crush a creature like the Lunatic.
