Chapter 365: EX 365. Overconfidence
Elizabeth’s breakthrough to Rank 7, the divine stage, had been inevitable.

Her three core physique was never something ordinary, and with Leon’s Origin Core energy feeding those cores, the past five days had been enough to shatter the final barrier.

She had already been on the brink after her cores stabilized, and this was the last push she needed. Now she sat there as a divine powerhouse, stronger than anyone in the room except Leon and Nikko.

On Leon’s immediate right, the supreme heir Nikko sat upright with perfect poise.

Her Rank 7 aura remained unchanged since they entered Pandora, yet it held an authority that still placed her at the top of the divine stage.

Only Leon overshadowed her.

She kept her gaze forward, it was calm but sharp.

Against the wall lounged Malachi.

He watched the room with relaxed interest, a faint grin on his face.

Since recovering from his injuries, he had stuck to Leon like a second shadow.

There were still boundaries between them but Leon never pushed him away.

Discouraging a Rank 9 beast man who genuinely admired him felt unnecessary. Malachi remained close, arms crossed, tail flicking lightly in quiet amusement.

The room stayed still until Leon lifted his head. His voice broke the silence.

“She’s finally here.”

A few breaths later, the meeting room door eased open.

A figure stepped inside. Silver hair fell down her back in neat braids threaded with small metal rings that caught the light.

Her long elven ears twitched slightly. Her emerald eyes seemed to take in more than the room could hold, the natural sharpness of her saint rank talent giving her vision that saw through more than walls.

Racheal had arrived.

Her aura washed through the room, refined and unmistakably S rank.

Becoming a complete elf settled that power around her like a mantle.

She paused in the doorway, her gaze drifting straight to Leon. She held his eyes for a quiet moment before giving him a simple nod.

Instead of taking any of the rows of empty seats, she walked directly to him.

Then she settled gently into his lap.

The room fell into a stunned stillness.

Nikko stared, expression frozen.

Elizabeth blinked once, twice, then said nothing at all.

****

Tension pressed through the room like a rising tide.

Nikko was the first to break the silence.

“What are you doing?”

Racheal shifted lightly on Leon’s lap, adjusting herself as if settling into the most natural seat in the world.

“Can’t you see?” she said. “I’m trying to make myself comfortable.”

A small vein pulsed on Nikko’s forehead as heat gathered under her skin.

The familiar thrum of her primal energy began to stir, an instinctive warning that always rose before she struck.

Across from her, Elizabeth remained quiet. She kept her hands folded neatly in front of her, her expression still and unreadable.

She had promised herself she would not interfere with Leon’s other women.

A man with his level of talent would need more than one partner.

That did not mean she enjoyed watching one act so brazen .

Her gaze drifted to Nikko.

‘You got this, Nikki,’ she thought.

Nikko’s aura flared as she stared at the elf. Sparks crawled across her shoulders. But Racheal didn’t budge.

Her emerald eyes held a quiet certainty. After the baptism of the great tree, Racheal was no longer a half-dead remnant of a race.

She was a complete elf. A Rank 7. A being whose bloodline would never degrade, never thin, never die.

Her presence carried the weight of that truth. Confidence practically wrapped around her like a cloak.

More than that, something inside her had changed.

Becoming whole again had sharpened every instinct she carried, especially the one driving her toward Leon.

It was not simple desire. It was closer to fixation. To her, Leon was the ideal partner. The only partner.

And sitting on his lap felt like a declaration she did not intend to take back.

Nikko leaned forward slightly, her voice hardening.

“Stand up.”

Racheal tilted her head.

“And if I don’t?”

At the far wall, Malachi opened one eye. He watched the stand-off for a moment before closing it again.

This was not his place. Leon was at the center of it. He trusted him to handle it. As for Eden and Adrian, they sat frozen like statues.

Eden slowly turned his head toward Adrian.

“Hey… Adrian.”

Adrian gave the smallest nod of acknowledgment.

“Yes?”

“I know my psyche isn’t always reliable,” Eden murmured.

“But what I’m seeing right now is real, right?”

Adrian didn’t even look away from the scene.

“It’s real.”

Both young men exhaled at the same time, their thoughts aligning into one very clear statement:

‘Fucking womanizer.’

Nikko’s fingers curled. She was a heartbeat away from lunging. Racheal braced slightly, chin lifting in challenge.

And then Leon finally spoke.

“That’s enough.”

His voice wasn’t loud, but every ripple of energy in the room died at once. Nikko’s aura faded. Racheal stopped provoking. Silence settled over the table again.

Leon let out a slow breath, grateful the floor hadn’t cracked open beneath the three of them.

The hallow awaited them.

They could not afford to start the war before they even reached it.

****

A low, careless laugh echoed in the back of Leon’s mind. Originus found the chaos amusing.

‘Hahahahaha… you totally deserve this, boy. Maybe next time you won’t be such a womanizer.’

Leon kept his face neutral. He ignored the dragon’s needling and focused on what mattered. His tone stayed calm as he shifted toward the elf in his lap.

“Racheal, it seems you’ve advanced.”

Racheal brightened at once, her emerald eyes warming. “Yes,” she said softly. “Now I’ll be able to be of use to you.”

For a moment Leon didn’t answer. Nikko watched him with a stare sharp enough to draw blood, and if hatred alone could kill, Racheal would have been reduced to dust. Elizabeth sat silent but her expression said she agreed with Nikko this one time.

Leon exhaled. “That’s good,” he said at last. “But do you mind taking another seat? We’re about to discuss something serious.”

Disappointment flickered across Racheal’s face, subtle but unmistakable. Still, she rose to her feet without complaint. A split second later, triumph bloomed across both Nikko’s and Elizabeth’s faces—small, private victories they didn’t bother hiding.

‘Serves you right,’ the two of them thought in perfect unison.
