Chapter 1076: Chapter 1076 Basic
Karen spent a night overflowing with pleasure in Ross’s arms, and she regretted nothing.

Every touch, every kiss, every moment they shared was etched into her body like a sweet ache that lingered even after dawn.

Her skin still tingled where his hands had roamed, and her lips curved into a satisfied smile whenever she thought about his voice whispering her name in the dark.

For once, Karen didn’t feel guilty or conflicted. She was happy — deliriously so.

All she could think about was him.

The warmth of his body, the raw passion in his eyes, and the way he made her forget the world.

She couldn’t wait for night to come again, knowing that Ross would call her to his bed, that he would make her lose herself once more in waves of pleasure until she could barely move, trembling and weak yet utterly content.

“See you later, big boy,” Karen teased softly, her lips brushing against his as they shared a long, deep kiss — the kind that left her breathless and wanting more.

When she finally pulled away, Ross gave her that confident smile she’d come to love, the one that promised more nights like this.

With a dreamy sigh, she left his room and walked down the quiet hallway, her steps light despite the late hour.

She was still lost in thought when she reached her door — her heart full, her mind replaying the night again and again.

But the moment she stepped inside, her content smile vanished.

“Chelsea? What are you doing here?”

Karen blinked in surprise. Sitting cross-legged on her bed was her eighteen-year-old sister, Chelsea, wearing an oversized hoodie and scrolling through her phone.

The sight was so unexpected that Karen just stood there for a moment, trying to process it.

Chelsea looked up, her bright eyes glimmering mischievously.

“Oh, hey, sis. Took you long enough to come back. I was starting to think you weren’t gonna show up tonight.”

Karen crossed her arms, trying to mask the faint blush creeping up her cheeks.

“You didn’t answer my question. How did you even get in here?”

“There are two ways into your room, remember? Password or keycard.” Chelsea grinned.

“And you’re the one who told us the password, genius.”

Karen sighed, shaking her head. “Right. I did.”

Chelsea tilted her head, studying her sister’s expression.

“You look… flushed,” she said, her grin widening. “Were you with Marco again? Come on, spill it, big sis. I want all the details.”

Karen froze for a second, unsure how to answer.

She could feel Chelsea’s curious gaze on her, the playful tone in her voice making it clear that she wasn’t about to let the topic drop anytime soon.

Chelsea giggled, clearly enjoying her sister’s discomfort.

“You so were! I knew it! Look at you, all dreamy and red-faced. What did you two do, huh?”

Karen rolled her eyes and tossed a pillow at her. “Oh, shut up, Chelsea. Go to sleep.”

But as Chelsea laughed and snuggled under the covers, Karen couldn’t help but smile.

Her heart was still pounding, her mind still full of Ross.

And though she tried to calm down and act normal, she knew she’d be counting the hours until night came again.

Karen thought the matter was settled after sleeping beside her sister Chelsea that night.

Sharing a bed reminded her of their younger days, when the three sisters used to pile together during thunderstorms, whispering secrets and laughing until they fell asleep.

Those memories were warm and innocent — a comfort that made Karen feel, for a moment, like life was still simple.

Lunch came quietly.

Karen forgot about everything — about Ross, about her guilt, about the secret she was determined to take to the grave.

She stretched, smiled faintly, and went about her day as if nothing had happened.

But several hours later, as she sat brushing her hair in front of the mirror, the door to her room clicked open.

Chelsea stood there, arms crossed, eyes sharp with mischief and something else — suspicion.

Behind her was their other sister, Lea, holding a book and looking a little hesitant but curious all the same.

“Chelsea? Lea? What’s going on?” Karen asked, setting down her brush.

“Close the door,” Chelsea said. Her tone wasn’t playful this time.

Lea obeyed, and the quiet click of the lock made Karen’s stomach twist.

“Karen,” Chelsea began, stepping forward with that confident smirk that always meant trouble, “do you… have another boyfriend besides Marco?”

Karen froze, eyes widening. “What?” she stammered, laughing nervously.

“Don’t be ridiculous. Of course not. I love Marco! You know that.”

“Mm-hmm,” Chelsea replied, unimpressed. “Funny thing, though.” She perched on the edge of Karen’s bed, crossing her legs casually.

“I talked to Marco at lunch today. Just teasing him, you know? I said something like, ‘You must be wearing poor Karen out every night.'”

Karen’s heart skipped a beat.

Chelsea’s grin widened as she leaned forward.

“And you know what he said? He looked completely confused. He asked me what I meant. So I laughed it off and said it was a joke. But it got me thinking…” Her tone softened, but her eyes sharpened. “If Marco wasn’t the one keeping you up all night — who was?”

Lea gasped softly and looked from one sister to the other. “Wait… what’s she talking about? Karen, you didn’t—”

“Lea,” Karen interrupted quickly, forcing a smile. “You two are imagining things. I told you, I love Marco. End of story.”

“Then why are you blushing?” Chelsea shot back instantly. “And don’t even try denying it — your face turns red every time you lie.”

Karen stood up, turning away from them. “Chelsea, drop it. This isn’t funny.”

“I’m not trying to be funny.” Chelsea’s voice lost its teasing edge; now it was laced with genuine concern.

“You’ve been acting strange lately. You sneak out at night, your phone’s always silent, and when you come back, you look… different. Happier. Exhausted, but happier. I thought
