Chapter 3200: Loots
Alex was slightly annoyed at having to leave the room and move into one of the other palaces that were much worse than the one they had been staying at.

It was not just a physically worse place, but also in terms of Qi. This was enough of a downgrade that Alex could tell how much Qi they were missing. The only reason he remained calm was because he knew he would be leaving here soon.

“2 more years,” Alex came to the decision. “We leave for the Sun’s Talon realm in 2 years.”

“We are waiting that much longer?” Bai Jingshen asked in surprise. “I thought we would be leaving right away now that you were out.”

“No. Scarlet and Whisker need some time before they are done cultivating themselves. Since we gave them both 10 years’ time, I want to wait until all of that has passed,” he said. “Besides, there are a few other things we need to do before we are ready to leave.”

He turned toward Pearl.

Pearl nodded. “We can’t leave the issue of my evolution for after the Sun’s Talon realm. We have no idea the sort of danger there is in that realm.”

“Well, I can’t imagine there being much danger, considering it’s just a realm,” Bai Jingshen said. “But who knows what’s awaiting us there when we’re following the mandates of a long-forgotten god.”

Alex nodded. “Well, can’t waste any more time. I better complete the blood.”

“Actually, brother. The patriarch has asked we return the White Tiger corpses back.”

Alex paused. “Really?”

Pearl nodded.

Alex frowned for a moment. “Have they asked that we hand back the loot as well?”

Pearl shook his head, a mischievous grin forming on his face. “They made no mention of anything except for corpses.”

Alex grinned. “Well, let’s see how our luck is.”

Alex took Pearl into his Soul Space right away, and Bai Jingshen followed behind as a watching observer. He appeared in the darkness of Alex’s Soul Space, still very much surprised at the size of the entire thing.

He could not for the life of him imagine how it could possibly be that there was someone out there with a realm for a Soul Space.

The White Tigers’ corpses were by the side, their blood long since drained and placed elsewhere. Their Soul Spaces were intact, however, as they wanted to enjoy the surprises together.

“Alright, who do we start with?” Alex asked. “Sadly, I’ve already opened our biggest present, but I haven’t looked at what we’ve received. Should we do that first, or keep it for the end?”

“Bai Yanbei?” Pearl asked. “Let’s keep him for the end. Same for… him, and her.”

Pearl chose the other two Immortal Spirit realm corpses and put them aside as well. They would go for that later.

“What about the beast core?” Alex asked. “How do White Tigers treat beast cores?”

“They’re precious to us. Beyond anything else,” Bai Jingshen said. “Although, if they knew you could bring a facsimile of them back to life, things would be entirely different.”

“Well… we can’t tell them that then,” Alex said. “And, I think we should give the beast cores back as well.”

“Really?” Pearl asked. “They did try to kill me.”

“Yes, but they’re dead now. And… I don’t like the idea of not letting someone dead return to their family,” Alex said. “Besides, you surely don’t want blood beasts of those that tried to kill you walking around, especially since they will most likely remember everything.”

“Ughh!”

That was enough to persuade Pearl.

“So, only the loot.”

With a thought, one of the White Tigers’ bodies separated away from the pile and Alex flipped its Soul Space, spilling the contents out without destroying the Soul Space. He couldn’t let the tigers know their items had been searched through after all.

“How… did you do that?” Bai Jingshen asked.

“Did what?”

Bai Jingshen’s face was a sight to see. “How did you remove the items of someone else’s Soul Space without destroying it first?”

“The Dao of Spatial Release,” Alex explained. “It’s what allows someone to release items from someone’s storage bag, storage rings, and Soul Space. That bastard Xue Kuangren used it on me a long time ago, and I haven’t forgotten about it ever since. It’s a scary dao in the right instance.”

Bai Jingshen had never even heard about it. From what he knew, Soul Spaces were usually torn apart from the corpses to spill out their content. Such a gentle thievery was beyond his expectation.

“When did you learn this dao?” he asked.

“I didn’t,” Alex said. “I happen to understand the aura just enough to employ it here.” He turned his attention to the loot that flew before them.

Alex immediately divided everything he could see into neat piles. Spirit stones made one pile, pills and ingredients made another. Talismans and formations made another pile, and finally, artifacts made the last pile.

“A lot of spirit stones it seems, and a decent number of Divine spirit stones too,” Alex said, going through the loot. “And the pills are horrendous, as expected. Barely any usable ones. I’ll have to improve those later.”

They looked through the rest. The only thing of note there was a crystal armor that seemed like it would fetch a nice price.

“What do we do?” Pearl asked. “Do we sell it? Are there auction houses here?”

“They will know who auctioned what very easily, and will know you stole their armors,” Bai Jingshen said. “To be fair, I’m all too fine with that too. Antagonizing them will be fun.”

“No,” Alex said.

“You’re afraid?” Bai Jingshen asked.

“No, I just don’t want to sell it,” he said. “It will make for a great material for the many artifacts I intend to make in the future. None of these are really going to go to waste.”

“You’re going to make artifacts now?” Bai Jingshen asked.

“Of course,” Alex said. “Didn’t I tell you before? I got the inheritance of an Artifact God. It’s time I put it to proper use.”
